Learn how to generate reliefs from 3D models at any angle and then use the reliefs in Blender to add awesome detail to scenes that is otherwise not possible.
This is cool. I’m curious though. Is there any consideration on your development roadmap for importing of regular 2D image formats such as .png, .jpg, or .tif?? There are few platforms that do similar processing (VistaSculpt or even the Facebuilder for Blender Headshot plugin for example) that support this functionality?
Great work!
Thanks, Terry! If you think you might be able to make a video about it, reach out to hello@reliefmaker.com and we can give you a license :D
is this software for generating height maps? and import into blender to make 3d models
It does generate height maps, and also 3D models of the relief as well in OBJ/STL.
Awesome vid! I'm just starting to learn how to make these sort of files and was just wondering, instead of using relief maker, can't we just use blender from the start instead to skip the exporting step?
Thanks and keep it up!
Blender's approach, and the approach of all other similar apps, will give you *a* relief, but not a *good* relief. Try it out, compare side by side! You'll get huge vertical walls with Blender, loss of detail, linear scaling of details in the Z - all that is fancy talk for uncompelling reliefs that take a ton of manual work to fix.
Thanks Share😘😘
How do u make the 3D models?
If you're unfamiliar with making 3D models, the easiest approach may be to just find them. There are millions of 3D models of every subject you can think of available online. Try thingiverse.com, turbosquid, cgtrader, etc.
Very cool content, but the price simply makes it not an option for many.
