Just a big thank you for making this to show the possibilities. The gold map is definitely "neat"

question - what's the best way to get the equivalent of the land borders.png for a different area of the world?

Hello. Please make a tutorial about a map of an area with a concrete dam and a lake behind the dam in Blender.

Good work. But how do you prepare data ( Rescale tif) before adding it to Blender? Can you do a tutorial on this? I read Daniel Huffman on how we can Rescale Tif by applying this: (Pixel Value - 120) ÷ (1500 - 120) * 65,535) on Arcmap and Qgis but it doesn't work for me, I don't know why. thank you

I’ve been trying to figure this out too. I’m trying to smooth the terraced look on my render and I’m stuck. Any chance you figured this out yet?

@@carsonhunt3792 I'm facing the same problem. Can't seem to smooth the surface out. Any luck on your end?

Kartik Tyagi I still haven’t been able to fix the problem, but I’ve been able to minimize it by messing with the Resample and Rescale tools. I feel like I’m missing something with how smooth the elevation transition is on other maps I’ve seen.

@@carsonhunt3792 I figured that it's probably because my DEM files contain only integer values where as in case of the OG post their values were in decimals (probably because of better DEM resolution from source)

Podrían hacer un mapa temático desde Arcgis a BlenderGIS, por favor. Para conocer como es el procesamiento de los datos y subir su información a dicho software, me ayudarían bastante si hacen el proceso paso a paso.
