Bill friggin rocks man...especially when it comes to finding all sorts of useful things with storage pockets and compartments...you know what im talkin about ha ha ha...that 9 m.m. would fit just perfect in that center console
No room for Canadians in that one, ey, Bill? Now that I'm retired I need a toy, and always wanted one of those, a nice interpretation of the original bird. Perfect for an old fart.
Bill..totally rocks i love his style i live in ohio but i would travel to naples to meet him and listen to a few of his terrific car stories and of course buy a car from him..
Ford should’ve kept the Thunderbird as a Grand Touring roadster to compete with the corvette. They could’ve even had a Lincoln or mercury equivalent that was more luxurious to compete with the Cadillac XLR.
Wow Bill. 2002. The year I retired from CHiPs after serving along the Malibu coastline for much of my 22 year career. I remember a fellow officer, the silver fox, telling me about the new 2002 Ford Thunderbird retro that was going to sell in the 6 figure arena. Yeah. Right.
A 237 ci V8?? Is this the smallest V8 offered in a mass produced American car in the post war era? The only other "small" one that comes to mind is a 265 Mighty Mouse Chevy...
Alden “Gib’’ Giberson, a young stylist for Ford offered the winning name, Thunderbird. A southwest native, Giberson said he took the name from the Thunderbird of Native American mythology.

i have this exact car but in all black almost perfect like this one it has 54k miles on it i live in port saint lucie would you guys be interested in purchase?
There was a black T bird like this one for sale at my local Ford dealer. The asking price: $22,500, lol. This was 3 months ago (October, 2021). I started to wonder what the Hell they smoking.
Very basic looking soft-top compared to something like a Mercedes. Do not like the fact that it looks ugly and also you have to remove covers and do latches. I think this car relies a lot on its name and the nostalgia.
If you want a Mercedes, buy one. The Thunderbird was made for the Ford faithful and, as you say, then nostalgic. I think the last generation T-Bird was fantastic for what it was, a midsize two-seat, moderately-priced priced V8-powered drop top. Could have been a little bit lighter at the scales, but then it would have been even more expensive too.
Us car guys and auto enthusiasts have to put up with the warning bells, warning lights and eventually the rear cross traffic alerts and blind spot mirrors and active cruise control systems because people (brain dead idiots) started driving around without a clue about monitoring traffic by turning their puffed up heads and using their alcoholic eyeballs. I made over a million traffic stops in my career. About 50,000 of those people were competent to drive. The rest, cattle.

Bill, I absolutely love your channel. The selection of top quality cars you get is absolutely amazing.
Ford did a terrific job with this re-do. I love the fact that the trunk is as long as the hood, which you never see anymore.
9:46 The long-serving Ford corporate remote. It's been awhile since one of those was in my pocket.

Farting in an open top is ideal , no lingering smells . So keep driving and farting !
Did you find what you’re looking for? We have one in BC.

two zone climate control is SUCH a JOKE in a car - anybody REALLY think the drivers side feels any different than the passengers side??
Hey, you heard Bill! He said the duel climate controls could save a marriage! Lol🤣

You sure it wasn’t named after the famed Thunderbird hotel and casino in Las Vegas? Or used to be in Las Vegas? 😢 I miss that place
I heard it was Vegas but I'm pretty gullible.

Love 💕 all the noise and beeping sounds in the background.
I am forever mad at Ford for not carrying on with these a bit longer. 😮
Same here brother you're an interesting one to talk too..lol

@6:06 the infamous “VIN etching”.
If a car ever deserved a V8 & manual transmission it’s the T-Bird.
“How do you go wrong with Michael Jackson”- little did he know 😂

It depends on the configuration and mileage. Some are selling for way more than $22k.

I went to NAU in Flagstaff... you pretty much described the town! Good times!
Sorry but I’m just not seeing it ... all I am seeing is A Nissan Micra . 🤪
A Nissan Micra? Really? A 4 door super-mini? You are on the wrong page, dude.
Any more Z4's?

interior FILLED with CHEAP FORD parts
I don't see anything cheap in that interior. Fit and finish is fine for the price and era.
I do think that little curved shelf like area behind the seats looks cool though.
Of course, all other cars' interiors have NO plastic parts in them, do they?
