At least one of a few video reviews on UA-cam that got it right and did not bash on the Retro Bird. The Retro is not a sports car, but a very unique looking and very comfortable to drive cruiser which I really like. I own a 2003 T-Bird and don´t regret a single mile I´ve spent with it. :) Thank you for the cool video!
Just bought a 2002 whisper white with the black and red interior I'm in love with this car I'm having my hardtop painted torch red
Bought one of these new in 2004. Didn't sell well because dealers marked them up from 5k to 20k. It has more than enough horsepower for its purpose. It was never marketed as a muscle car.
Thanks Phil!!
“It’s not a sports car, and it doesn’t want to be”. Great review, you understand the 2002-2005 Thunderbird, and your review is very balanced and thoughtful. I bought a 1960 Thunderbird back in the 90s while in the military, and still have it. I bought an identical silver with black leather 2004 Thunderbird in 2016 with 18K miles and have thoroughly enjoyed it, for the reasons you state. Also I find the power adequate, sometimes on the interstate I’m doing 90 before I realize it.🙀
Great review Phil. I just bought the twin of the Thunderbird you are driving. You nailed it-a pleasure to drive, cruise with the top on or off. And the Beach Boys is one of the cds in the player!
I love my Teal green 2002 T-Bird… Just wish it was easier to find part for her. Overall she is great on a road trip… love my roadster! The V-8 power is awesome. We love that it has a trunk and a little room for luggage. Inside we have that tiny bit of room behind the armrest to fit a small 6 pack size cooler to keep snacks in for our road trips! On a road trip to Colorado at one point we got 27 mpg. Most of the time we got around 23 mags. Which is good for us. The CD player that came with the car quit working not long after we got her, but we found a cheap retro looking stereo for now and we are good. Looking forward to getting back on the road for a big road trip this summer across country!
I actually now want one of these convertibles! I'm just a convertible fan man I guess.
Thank you for an insightful, honest review.
Excellent review!
I've got one exactly like that.
Same here same color seats everything triple black. I just got it last summer. And everything works fine. Lot of back roads where I live so it keeps you from hot riding around here.
At night time it's a little hard to drive in these back roads. Specially in the rain when you can't see the lines on the road.
Mine's got 76,000 miles on it.
. A long trip I haven't gone yet though. It sucks theater donor uses premium so you have to pay a little bit more gas.

Awesome review!
The 2002 had 252 hp, 2003 to 2005 had 280 hp, the same engine as the Lincoln LS V8...
Great review, god I love this car!
Very beautiful car
Excellent explanatory video Sir.! Love love the 1st gen and the last as well. Would have a 2002 as a daily driver with no problem...congrats again and you got one more follower . 👏👏🚗👐👐👊
Great job on this video review. I love my black 2002 T Bird. Got it for $9,999 from a dealer. The hard top looks so cool but I had to remove it ( with the help of my stepson) after all it IS a convertible. Sadly the dealer hadn't done same and I found a very moldy canvass top. Cleaned up fairly easy. It drives great
And yes I am an old fart, and certainly no Suzanne Summers.
Oh, it has 96,000 miles.
Good price.bought a 02 11000 miles for 17 k two yrs ago.stole it.worth about 26 to 28 k now
@@timhenderson6473 what color?
Black..has a few clear coat blemishes on one fender.thats it
@@timhenderson6473 black is BEAUTIFUL. Looks great in my garage next to my black 1966 Mercury Comet
Great review, but do your homework! The 2002 model only had 252 horsepower. The 2003 - 2005 had 280 horsepower, a significant difference.
I have a 98 MB Sl500. It has a similar vibe but wish it had the glass rear window.
I'm sure in 30 years I'm going to really, really want one of these cars. Right now, I'm all about having stiff suspension and less sound deadening haha
Drill holes in your mufflers and upgrade to Lincoln LS heavy duty suspension struts or equivalent. Problems solved.
Very good review! I always kind of like the exterior look of this car. The interior though is such a turnoff.
How many miles did this one have?
Lmfao the speed limit is always 70 or under. There’s no need for more horsepower...
There are a few places where it is 80… but very few. Like Montana and Texas.
Head gasket r&r
What do you mean by head gasket r&r?
Car is garbage
Anime girls can't drive
How many miles did you drive one to come to this conclusion?
@@doriwebb2515 Don't need to test drive a piece of sh*t to know it's sh*t

Then your opinion is based on complete and total ignorance of what you are talking about.
I thought so.
They don't have tbirds in your country.how would u know
Great review!
