Ah!! Finally an American luxury convertible. That desert sky blue(robin egg blue) was a rare color. Only offered from 2002-04. Personally I love that shade of blue. The light beige color inserts in the black leather seats were also an option. I love these retro theme Thunderbirds. Not over done, just the right amount of old and new. I miss the Thunderbird name plate from the Ford lineup. Hope it goes to a great home.

Hardly a luxury car. It was a poorly built, overpriced, slow moving automobile that failed the day it was launched. Thanks Ford.

mac daddy You make some valid points but they don't make the car any less of a luxury touring convertible. When new they were very expensive. Overpriced? Probably. I'll agree with you there. But they have good quality and drive quick enough for what they were designed to do. Not every car has to have 400 plus horsepower and get top speeds around the Nuremburg ring to be a luxury car. This car fit a very specific niche at the time and I'm sad to see it go.

The quality was not good at all. It was built on leftover Lincoln parts (which were terrible) and that why it failed. Also it was never a 'luxury' car....that title goes to Jaguar or Rolls Royce.

mac daddy I think you just want to see things your way and not hear intelligent points from anyone. Why is left over Lincoln parts a bad thing? Lincoln's have better quality control than Ford's. Second, last time I checked, Jaguar and Rolls Royce have worse quality control statistics than either both Ford or Lincoln. And those two brands don't have a "lock" on the luxury name genre. Smh.

Actually they do have a lock on the luxury name genre. Go up to a woman in a bar and tell her you have a Ford and she will yawn, but tell her you have a Jaguar and you will get her undivided attention. And finally, If it were such a great luxury car, it would not have flopped. But it did....hard.

Hiya Mary Ann, you posted this one just for me, didn't you? Really nice color! Hope you had a great Memorial weekend. My cousin just sold a T-bird of roughly this vintage.
