I just made a full review of Mad Max, give it a try 😊 ua-cam.com/video/Ufl8ue1naWs/v-deo.html
I really appreciate how they remembered that a round remains in the chamber, even if the mag is removed.
You know it went off before Nux grabbed the mag
@@aleks2703 when a gun is fired another round chambers the more you know just look up how do glocks work you’ll figure it out
@@ox2215 yes that is why max used his boot to pull the slide
Everyone knows that literally children do
It's not good that they remembered. It's bad that others ignore it.
I can't get over how innocent Nux... Feels... When he asks Max what he is gonna ask for.
Nux is my all time favorite
Witness Me
Just starts talking to him like they're mates all the sudden lol
@@jimmymeridian5174 To his mind they are friends. Bringing down an Imperator traitor unassisted (all Imperator's shown were extremel skilled warriors) and returning all five of Joes wives unharmed would change both of their lives. Assuming Joe is the least bit grateful, Max would get his freedom and probably a new ride and Nux would either be given high value medical care or personally sheparded to Valhalla by Joe himself. In that moment they aren't a dying warboy and his crazy bloodbag, they're heroes about to cash in the biggest reward of their lives.
Their world could always use a little more innocence.
You can ask for more than a jacket
nux handing over the mag towards max like that was badass
I totally agree. I laughed so hard when this scene happened. It's was a bros being bros moment.
Oh, the irony. 😂

is it ironic because furiosa is missing an arm?
@@jacobgraemoor5778 because Max tried to blow up his arm a minute ago but he failed
1:59 I got it! :D
One of the best aspects of this scene is the sound design on the 9mm handgun. 9mm is no joke in any circumstance, but in this setting it might as well be the thunder of the gods. Just excellent.
Did you just say 9mm is no joke, tell that to 50 cent who took 9 from a 9mm and is still kicking, now that's pretty funny!
@@theoutlawking9123 You could say that about land mines, morter, rockets, and nuclear bombs.
@@theoutlawking9123 Cool, so you'll be fine if I shoot you with a 9?

@@theoutlawking9123 some people survived sarin gas, guess that means it isn't that deadly.
Mad max is a super logical action movie despite its chaotic setting. George miller understands that action in real life isn’t a step by step basis in which the motions go one at a time but rather the action itself would happen everywhere all at once
Poor Nux, was trying to be a good boy and help Max and he got slugged. He's a good boy dammit, he was just misguided.
"Dammit" 😂😂😂😂
Yes he was.
I've always wondered why the fight between Max and Furiosa seemed so legit. After finding out they had a lot of issues / tension on set it finally explains why you can hear the pure hatred as she screams haha
Wait for real? Lol why did they have so many issues
In what way?
He's a method actor and one of the method actors who uses it as an excuse to be an abusive dick. To the point where she actually asked for protection while he was on set. If Charlize Theron, who watched her mom shoot her dad is scared of you, then you are a special kind of dengerous.
@@PandaMonium92827 that's a half truth, in interviews you learn they both hated each other and the desert location didn't help, she was intense with him as well and they had arguments regularly
@@PandaMonium92827 absolute BS, they both had their differences and not to forget Charlize was insulting Tom constantly because he was late on the set and he fired back at her. They resolved their differences later and have been good friends since then. Please do some research before making ridiculous stories
2:27 will never not be funny to me, Nux is so eager to give Max the mag
Loved when he cocked the gun and sent 3 rounds into the sand. I don't know why that was satisfying to me lol.
2:47 Dude sounds badass no matter what accent he uses.
"You can skip for more than a jacket" lmao comedy gold!
I don’t wanna sound rude but he said “you can ask for more than a jacket”
Really love how the editing of this film balances well with the sound design. It honestly gave me the chills.
Imagine being held at gunpoint by an empty gun and then realising it...
Gun was not empty
@@14768He's talking 'bout the shotgun
'Weird' fight? More like awesome.
Damn that distant guitar riff echo sounds so unnerving
That's how you write a strong female character
Because she is no friggin' Mary Sue.
Interesting fun fact: In the real world, Max and Furiosa hate each-other. Apparently they've got some real creative differences. I think this fight was some sort of way of them venting their frustrations.
Why don’t they ever explain why to the press?
Yeah Tom made it hardy to work with. He was trying to find a voice for Max and Charlize wanted to chill after working at 5am in the middle of fuckin Namibia. So tensions existed, yes. They apparently sorted them out.
@darlingjo7492 Oh, so you mean like not reliable enough to work with while acting on set but off set they get along well as friends or acquaintances in the world outside of acting?
@darlingjo7492 I thought so.
@@santiagolopez3909 From what I've gathered from various interviews Tom Hardy didn't get the sense that George Miller knew what he was doing as he had trouble verbalizing and explaining his vision to him. And he probably wasn't the only one. Everyone being stressed and homesick with being stuck in the cold desert for 2 years caused tensions and arguments all around. Couple all that with Theron and Hardy's vastly different approach to acting, their styles would clash.
So glad people enjoyed the fights.i appreciate the comments as it makes all the hard work worthwhile - thank you GVB
Nux is my favorite.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to actual cinema.
aint that the truth. nowadays it's really rare that I see actual cinema. I'm not gonna shit on Marvel (you can make cinema in a setting like that as well) but a lot of stuff that's coming out nowadays doesn't really feel like they were meant to be watched in cinema. like, they could upload that on youtube and it'd be fine.
I saw Mad Max in theaters and boy, you can just tell that this movie was meant for cinema. the sound is simply phenomenal. you won't know what it's like with just crappy headphones. the visuals speak for themselves. If I ever have enough money I'm just gonna convert a room with top-notch gear to cinema and watch this again.
Sad thing Nux never knew Max’s name
Yet they wantes his blood for what
A bloodbag does not need a name
Depending on how you interpret the hero/antihero max, giving someone your name is like giving them your blood. According to that, Nux wasn't worth saving to Max. Also, the day before, Nux tried to kill Max in the dust storm.
@@csch1510 it's because Max doesn't regain his humanity until he gives his blood freely to save his comrade, he is nameless and feral until then
Great scene! 🙌😎🔥
i love how when the dag stopped to kick her chastity belt
Max is my favourite.
2:35 I love this scene. It‘s like:“Oh shit, they‘re coming“ 😅😅
Racking the slide along the leg of his pants is a great detail.
Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.
I just realised that the bruise Max caused on the pregnant girl's leg would later on lead to her death when she slips on her blood. I'm so dumb lol and I've watched this movie a few times.
I don’t understand Max’s thinking, like he literally takes the truck and drives away alone. Not just any truck, a war rig in the middle of the desert. It’s gonna stick out like a sore thumb he probably would have only lasted 2-3 days tops before another group of marauders took everything he has and made him a slave.
oh, yes, it was better to be stranded alone in the middle of the desert, right?
@@timkasansky2528 he had Nux too, I’m sure they could have come to a deal. But yeah it’s just a movie
He usually drove the semi truck since Mad Max 2...
He is a roamer, he roams as a methaphore because he wants to scape from his past (that’s why the closer the army is he gets flashbacks from his past) he is trying to scape from anything coming to torment him.
I personally think he knows he will die eventually but wants it to be far from ehatever is making him Mad
Wel since it’s a war rig it could have some intimidation with it
You’re a good boy Nux.

Best movie fight I have ever seen
My only criticism is he wastes bullets in order to be more bad ass.. He was basically out of bullets at the end
He short near her head, right next to her ear. That loud of a sound right next to the ear would actually disorient her.
I thought it was to make sure the mag had bullets in it/the gun worked right, since he had just been fucked by the other gun misfiring
@@Jo-sv9io Great.. Just like scaring the lady, it would only take one bullet to check the gun instead of wasting a bunch to look cool
This must be Bane’s origin story when he escaped the prison and tried coming to Gotham 😅
Nux and Max, a chain reaction.
NICE
Does anyone else wonder why it cuts to the kid at 1:49 randomly? Like what made Max think of that.
The flashbacks were so weird, one of the only things I didn't like about this movie.
Even though it's a different actor the older Mad Max movies are still canon and it's a reference to what happens to Max's wife and daughter in the earlier Mel Gibson movies.
well because in this movie he's more deranged from his loss.

He actually ate her lunch, and they just recorded the fight and decided to put it into the film. The other actors on set at the time tried to break them up, but you see how it went for them.
At least no-one stole Theron's lunch afterwards.
This movie could have been called Furiosa , I would have been just fine with it 👍
All Mad Max movies, except the first one, are usually based on Max being in the middle of someone else's struggle. Max wasn't doing anything but trying to get fuel for his Interceptor in Road Warrior, but Humungus' maniacs forced him to just drive that truck through their siege
Thunderdome was like that as well. Max was usually a reluctant hero, he never tried to become one, but he never managed to turn his back to those who're in need.
In this movie, he happens in a chase for Furiosa and the wives. His only option was to expect a warlord's gratitude or help them get to wherever they are going, because he was bereft of a vehicle, or any supplies. The real struggle was the people of the refinery in Road Warrior, Aunty's in Beyond Thunderdome and Furiosa's in Fury Road.
Max is a phantom of the wasteland, he roams it, forever haunted by his family's memory and trauma of losing them. The world was already going crazy and Max went mad with it.
And found to live in the wasteland
Вчера вышел трейлер ориджинала про Фуртосу🤩
What would they call the new movie then
The only good thing about the movie is the imagination being the leader of the cult
A modern action flick with a large cast of female lead roles that somehow doesn't feel slightly woke.
God, this movie rocks.
I saw it when it came out in theaters. It's become one of my all-time favorite action movies; it's just done so well!
@darlingjo7492
Is it the "slightly" or "woke" part that confuses you?
@darlingjo7492
Can mean many things, but when applied to movies, it generally means when certain demographics are empowered for the sake of making them look big and strong and pleasing leftists. Frequently done at the expense of actually good filmmaking.
@darlingjo7492 Captain Marvel in Endgame is a very good example. Her scenes in the movie are basically a montage of her either destroying things, or being flippant to and one-upping the more established and beloved cast. This was likely partly done because her movie was middlingly received at best, but mostly because of her gender, which of course demands that she has to be somehow better than the remaining characters. They even have a written line where the sullen Thor, one of the MCU's absolutely most beloved, professes his admiration of her despite the fact that her contribution at that point amounted to rudeness. Writing an enticing plotline for Captain Marvel is absolutely possible in the horsepowered plotline of a movie like Endgame, but likely would've drained screentime from the more prominent cast members. They also could've reduced her screentime to her contributing through her powers, which honestly likely would've made for a better-received character, but of course wouldn't have fit the agenda.
Contrast this with Furiosa. She's a one-armed woman, and as such gets beaten up and down by her competition for the vast majority of the runtime. Her character is still infinitely better received than Captain Marvel, because making characters shallowly strong and independent is less engaging than them realistically struggling but clawing their way to the top regardless.
@darlingjo7492
I don't think I said "detriment" anywhere. The furthest I went was "bad filmmaking."
That was a good fight. Very believable that a guy is stronger than a woman but also had impairments and took several women to stand up to him but he won eventually being the strongest.
I would like to see her swinging real bow cutters like that :))) with one hand :)).
Pustlar usa ya kaçtılar pust olmayanlar kacmadilar.

so nobody is talking about how 2 men have trouble beating a woman who by the way has only 1 arm ???

@@thegageinator805 No, he's an idiot
Glock nine gauge best gun 😃🤙
2 men vs 6 feminists! I see the power of belief, I see the league of shadows
I like how they didn’t feminize this movie to show women being physically stronger than men
Furiosa is the strongest women there, having the most combat skills/experience than any of them and yet she loses to Max. The other 5 women weren’t able to manhandle Nux. My point is, movies like this should show reality when it comes to Man VS Woman fighting scenes.
Furiosa had the upper hand against Max for a lot of the time. Max’s only advantage was having Nux helping him out.
@@TooCooFoYou he constantly had a group of girls play tug of war with him and was chained to an unconscious person. So it was obvious he had a severe handicap.
@@dannyjack659 not to mention he lost good bit of blood
@@karamanid Yea and he was suffering with emotional trauma which gave her the drop on him when he went for the gun.
No no, you've got a point. Half the time in movies, the guys fight the guys and the girls fight the girls and I can respect a movie that does equal rights equal fights. Like especially here when the size difference is so noticeable. It's not like Nux could have beaten her either, she'd have kicked his ass every time but its not because she's "strong female." just because she's more battle hardened than him.
1:59 "I got it."
If you play this part backwards, you will hear Nux saying the N word.

what he talked about him, link?
@@csch1510 Go search...she is dissatisfied with her career and she wasn't called to new Mad max Prequel they wanted to produce due her behaviour.
@@flisko123 She talked * that hardy was a shit actor at that time and production (which was plain bullshit considering that his movies with less career time than her are better than her movies which are most sexualized in context and with low quality acting from her, just looks and beauty.)
Then that escalated after he replied her with something close to what I said about her career being built on spreading legs and using tight clothes. This lead to both of them arguing hard untill she tells the director that she wouldn't do scenes with him at all. Which led the production to make two records of the same scenes each time. Some scenes were shoot twice due her not being with him on screen at all. By the end of the movie she barely got close to him unless was to beat the shit out of him, which she did too, in some scenes she just fought with real malicious intent and hur him a few times, which led him to give her same treatment, not being in same shots as her.
Also the movie were rewritten several times to become that woke feminist trash in the end.
They were better with Mel gibson again than with her.
