"I am the scales of justice; conductor of the choir of death"..... they throw some pretty powerful lines here
Bullet farmer guy is the Priti Patel to Immortans Bojo.
And Verdi dies irae in the background just to turn a powerful line into a godlike one.
Does anyone know which music is being played at 2:45?

I like how bullet farmer loses both of his eyes and adapts immediately as one should in an apocalyptic world. You can't grieve over trivial things like a few limbs, or your eyes. If you're alive, you keep going...
Why for what reason?
@@jallen1425 i think if u don't...well u kinda die on the same day, and also it's kinda impresive u don't get what the guy was saying...
@@jallen1425 To be witnessed by others of course!
@@jallen1425 Because 'Fuck you'.
I'm not trying to insult you to be clear. That's literally why you keep going.
Worlds gone to shit, nukes have poisoned the earth and evaporated the oceans, whole world went insane fighting over the last remaining stores of clean water & petroleum, society has broken down and there is no hope for a better tomorrow on the horizon as the warlords and marauders of the wasteland don't want things to get better, they just want to remain in power perpetually.
The only certainty is a life of pain, suffering and despair- where either you die forgotten marooned in the middle of a blighted desert awaiting the vultures to pick the flesh from your bones, and some carcinogenic war boy to find your skull in the sand to mount on his front bumper; or you go so far beyond the far horizon of madness that you make it right back to some form of sanity and lucidly sleepwalk through the plains of silence somehow becoming the stuff legends are made from, at the cost of losing everything that mattered to you.
In such a world where everything has gone so perfectly to shit the likes of which cannot be healed in a single lifetime- where death is inevitable, life is taken and spent almost trivially; and all you got to keep you going is spite alone- you keep going, you keep fighting so that when the world asks why you persist.... best words to answer with may as well be 'Fuck You'.

I like how before he makes his speech about justice, he happens to be blinded. Just like Justice is blind because it treats everybody fairly, he is blind in the sense that he doesn't discriminate in his evil
Dang how I missed it this whole time
Yeah what a contradiction the scales of justice is.

In TV Trope language, it’s a triple combination of Sanity Slippage, Villainous Breakdown, and Large Ham (mode). Since gunners like the cantankerous old Bullet Farmer rely on eyesight to aim and shoot to hit the target, him losing his vision made him lose his already unstable mind even more.
this movie just gives all sorts of amazingness
I think you may be really overthinking it.
the scene where the bullet farmer realizes he's blind is weirdly heartbreaking
very true very sad :(
like his eyeballs cut and dissected up to the retina, including the optic nerve, by the sharp glass shards
Anytime a character loses something significant i always feel weird. Like even when buster lost his arm, its hard to comprehend things being different forever
I thought it was funny.
@@deadmeatjb Buster should have known better than to go in the ocean! I felt much more sorry for the guy who lost his arm after he was hit by the car when the Bluth family was rushing to the store for milk because no one had left a note.

I love that when the rig starts to drive off Furiousa and Max look at each other and like a Buster Keaton style comedy, immediately realize that something is wrong and starts running after the rig because it’s established that only those two character can drive the rig, so they know that if the other isn’t driving then something is most definitely wrong.
Not quite, when the war boy and max go to tie the chain on the tree, max tells him to go drive the rig
@@sergeant_chris6209 No, OP is correct. Max and Furiosa didn't know that Nux was on the rig and had switched sides in that moment, hence their surprise that the rig was moving. Max tells Nux to go drive after the fact and after Capable tells them that Nux wants to help.
I watched this movie three times and missed that moment of realization from them. Good eye! Need to rewatched it again i guess
Warboys probably built it ao they know how to drive it lol
That moment between max and furiosia at 00:53 when they see each other outside the rig. "Wait, if you're not driving and I'm not driving...?" Up until then they didn't know Nux was hiding out on board.
0:37 Immortan Joe turns around as if he’s saying to himself “didn’t he say just ONE angry shot?”

@@nismo3871
i freakin knew it...I always thought about how the hell do they make this scene entirely out of blue filter. One of my theory is that they fog the whole set and set up a bunch of blue lights. which is hella hard.
2:37 The chain that ruined Nux's attempt to kill Furiosa and being rewarded by Joe ended up as an important tool to tie the Rig to the tree. Such a small but yet huge detail. I fucking love this movie.
I like how his guns get bigger just about every time it cuts to him. First he's using a pair of revolvers, then Uzis, then MP5s and then finally a pair of AK-74s xD

I love how relaxed the Bullet Farmer’s soldier sounds when he says, “Wouldn’t wanna shoot the wives, sir.” He could be really adrenalized from what’s happening, or really scared that the Bullet Farmer might mess his shot up, but no. He’s just really chill.
Its a really neat detail how his men don’t seem as fanatical as the War Boys.
Since their bullet farm is a business they still have some semblance of their marbles while Immortan Joe ran his society almost like a cult.
He technically works for the Bullet Farmer so has to respect the Farmer as his boss. But he also knows that the Bullet Farmer has to work with others of similar power, so is trying to keep his boss from making a serious mistake. Like a sergeant trying to correct an officer.

Love love love the part where Max gives up the rifle. It's a story without words that needs to be in more action movies. Just that one little gesture alongside the imagery of Furiosa resting the rifle on his shoulder is so powerful. And he doesn't even flinch; he trusts her completely in that moment.
After Max used up the second-to-last bullet, he through his body language and actions were like, “You know what? You’re a better shot with this than me, you take it. You can even use my shoulder as a makeshift bipod.”

Iam more concerned with his hearing than anything else after that shot
@@RomanvonUngernSternbergnrmfvus Yeah movies have a pretty weird relationship with just how LOUD guns really are. I suppose it is kind of sloppy sound design, when an earlier scene plays a ringing sound effect after a gun is fired near their head.

Surprisingly accurate for being ya know, blinded
shoot enough bullets and you bound to hit something
Submachine guns also help.

I love the little detail, when the rig starts moving Furiosa looks to her left and sees max standing there doing the same thing looking at furiosa and they both realize “WHO TF IS DRIVING THE RIG” and start sprinting 😂😂😂 0:51
The BFs reaction to being blind is pretty damn awesome. Pretty much goes through about 9 seconds of grief and then just carries on with his submachine guns
The blue collection of scenes was astonishing seeing for the first time (and still is on the big screen). I applaud the directors, editors, and colorists who worked on this. It is mighty impressive.
And especially in contrast to movies & shows who have their night scenes so dark you can't see much of anything. I like how the Mad Max team treated night as a creative opportunity and didn't obscure the details of the action
Having now seen Furiosa, the moment where she gets the sniper rifle from Max just got me so giddy now knowing how good she was during the abuse at the Bulletfarm.
Love the Bullet Farmer that change his Akimbo in every cut, from long-barrel Smith&Wesson to Reinforced-Stock Uzi then scoped H&K UMP and lastly AK Assault Rifles.

I am the scales of justice; conductor of the choir of death. sing brother heckler, sing brother kock. epic line
I freakin love the sound of the war rig's engines
What I love about this scene is that it shows those fundamental principles of the oldest movie thrillers, and as Miller states the silent films, where you establish a problem, obstacle, environment, and you explore every avenue of how to overcome it, and every action has a consequence, every beat leads into the next, and raises the stakes. And every object plays a role, Checkhov’s Gun as it will, I mean the way that Max as a blood donor,!the blood-IV tube, the chains, boot, ALL play a role. Reminds me of Wages of Fear and how simple yet extremely effective the tension was simply by using those basic tenets of action and tension. It shows Mad Max isn’t merely amazing becuz of big stunts and big flames and big cars, but because it knows the language of visual storytelling perfectly. Same with center framing.
Love Tom's acting when she takes the shot like "OK my ear but whatever"

Max, a man once a police officer, has survived so long in this waste land, suddenly cant hit with a long range rifle?
I guess without keeping your skills sharp you may miss right?
Well its Furiosas rifle, specifically for a long range rifle, youd always want to adjust the sights to your own shooting style. Something as simple as Furiosa adjusting manually for wind, would completly throw off another shooters aim. Secondly he didnt know the ammunition which also plays a role in zeroing your rifle
