Charlize's eyes told so much story, even though she never really talked that much.
Anya Taylor-Joy, come on down. You're Furiosa. :)
I saw yesterday the spin off and i have to say what a story Furiosa has omg
yer kidding; that really WAS Charlize?!?! crazy, crazy.
The score when she gets stabbed is so epic. You feel like all hope is lost and the anger in her eyes tells the story more efficiently than any dialogue ever could.
The shot right after showing all the vehicles driving alongside each other is also so good.
George Miller is a master of visual storytelling. Always has been imo.
Plus her scream is just rage and frustration rather than pain.
@@calowenby1654right but we're talking about the musical score. Anyone know who composed it and the name of this very part?
@@lourdesgyan Junkie XL did the score. It's a fantastic score, especially to drive to.
I love the shot of Max swinging by on the pole with the explosion going off behind him. PERFECTION!
Me too
I know right
Agreed. This movie is the best action film of all time by a mile.
r8.
The face Furiosa gives Immortan (0:21 and 0:25) vs the face she gives Max (2:38). Angry and strength vs pain and worry. SO GOOD. Love this movie
Yeahh
I love it ...
The look she gives Immortan says “I’m gonna get you muthafucka!”
The look she gives Max says “I’m hurt, come help me”
Charlize Theron is a brilliant actor.
I never really connected that the reason Furiosa got stabbed was because of Max, since she was distracted trying to keep him from falling, and even after that, she still didn’t drop him. The way they go from fighting tooth and nail trying to kill each other, to begrudging allies, to sacrificing themselves to save each other’s lives is the reason this movie resonates with me so strongly.
The entire battle sequence at the end is literally just Max, Furiosa and co. protecting each other from Joe's forces. And it's amazing.
)
PM
Thats why she's amazing! Total Badass!!!
5410
And all with so little dialogue nonetheless!
One of the best action movies of all time. Period.
agreed
Nico Candela hell ya your right
Nico Candela Until Logan
Also, one of the very best blockbusters.
No it is the best
That scream, that pissed off stare...chills.
It's such a joy to see George Miller pissing all over the Fast & Furious movies.
😂😂
Totally agree
LOVE UA-cam
Juste wanted to say that your pfp is god tier 👌

To me, the War Rig was just as much a character in this movie as anyone else. It was crippled this whole fight by Max's Interceptor right at the beginning, and was limping along, wounded. Max falls... the Rig is surrounded, the wives are screwed, Max is dead, Furiosa is stabbed, hope is fading into the darkness... And Nux fixes it. Just the ROAR the War Rig gives, like it's a pissed off Dragon that's ready for BLOOD. It reaches down into the dark, grabs that spark of hope, puts it in Furiosa's hand and says "I'm here now. Let's go. I'm ready. _Show me who to kill!!!_ "
Beautifully put friend
Not to mention that The War Rig, The Gigahorse and Razor Cola (the Interceptor) are the only cars in Joe's armada with actual V8s, The War Rig having two of them makes it the most powerful vehicle in the convoy aswell, so as soon as Max gets the People's Eater limousine away from the War Rig, it just launches itself off leaving everyone behind, going after the Gigahorse, who only outruns it because of it's nitros.
I hope the interceptor makes a return in the next movie because it's been in the series since the first film
Charlize is such a badass
This movie was a masterpiece! My only regret is that I didn't watch it in theater when I had a chance.
Here's hoping they'll rerelease it in imax someday
haha I saw it in the theater because I knew. I only see a movie in a theater like once or twice a year
Same
Honestly make it happpne--I saw it twice in theaters. Absolutely a must see on big screen.
1:29 love how Max just pulls the driver out of the truck like it's nothing lol
That moment at like 3:07 where he just casually drifts through the air on the pole as everythings exploding and dying in the background is so unintentionally hilarious to me. I'm sorry, I love this movie but that makes me laugh every time
???
H. James I personally laughed out of joy from the carnage and Max’s perpetual survival through it.
Loviii
wouldnt call it funny, it's just a super epic shot
Charlize Theron is the badass of badasses!! One of the best action movies ever made.
I just love that after Furiosa removes the knife from her side, it then cuts to Max removing the arrow from his own hand. The editing of this movie is fantastic.
The editor is incredible-- she has worked on so many masterpieces. I loved the the director Chose so many women who would not normally be slotted into 'action films' and gave them carte blanche. You get ART.
This movie is honesty more of an adrenalin rush than most things I do in life
Legend has it that to this day, Fast and Furious franchise still not giving up churning out movie after movie, just trying to catch up to this 1 Mad Max.
6 Oscar, well deserved
Did he just kickflipped Tom Hardy onto another car?
Thats so sick.
Charlize is a bloody lioness.
Wtf this movie is too damn good!!!
Honestly.....Because Miller hired so many women (to write, edit, design, etc....) and shot it live real on film. Giving free rein to designers. It's so many fabulous minds coming together to speak to the many of us who waited decades to see more ether one film where the central heroes were mostly women. You're seeing how half of Hollywood has so much to offer, and is only now starting to get recognized!!
I wish I had seen this movie in the theaters
I wasn't a fan of Mad Max until I saw this movie
there was one scene where they were approaching a storm.....no small screen can ever do that justice! I remembering my jaw dropping, incredibly beautiful
i was lucky enough to get this one in the theatre. But ive missed a lot that i could have seen in the theatres, instead i saw them on TV and i felt that these would have been real good in a theatre. the ones that come to mind are - 2012, gravity and dunkirk. Well, cant do anything about it.
@@aly0524d I wish I saw fury road, saving private Ryan, terminator 2, and the dark knight in theatres. Everything else I don’t mind that I waited or I saw it in theatres.
I saw the 3d version on imax theatre. Another xp level
Same, I saw it on IMAX. One of the best xp Ive ever had in a cinema.
This movie is pure action. It is that awesome
Nobody talking about the engine revving up back to life? Up until that point it looked like all hope was slowly being lost
What I love about this move is how it came out of goddamn NOWHERE
2016 leap year
Mel Gibson had the honors with doing blood father the same year!!!Since he missed the role in Mad Max movie history he helped to create...Love how they interpreted it with the bible a bit...
00:22 Absolutely loved the utter fire and that attitude of not giving up even when she was in excruciating pain.
Words cannot describe how much I adore this movie.
“Desert battle scene” is basically the entire movie
I know, right? I was saying I love car chases in films....this film IS a car chase LOL so amazing
2:46 I never noticed the dollar sign on the pedal before!
That's why the art department won the Oscar
This movie is filled with details
Made out of old coins, I think!
C A P I T A L I S M
@@kleerude Namibian coins actually (credits to Cinemawins)
2:04 just look at the cinematography of this stressful scene... how did they able to pull that off without confusing the audience?
Mostly by centering all the action (all the shots, really), keeping it in the middle of the frame so your eyes and brain don't have to work to find out where to look. Compare it to a Transformers movie where every action scene is so busy that it becomes exhausting, because you're always scanning the screen.
@@monsterlair Somebody's been watching Lindsay Ellis. (I saw the same video where she talks about that) :)
@@tormuse2916 You're not wrong, but the first part was something i learned from reading Empire Magazine. ^^
This movie is a masterpiece, once in a lifetime creation
This is the sequence that Chris Stuckmann likes to call the "breaking point moment". Where the heroes are at their lowest point in an action scene, and have to dig their way up to turn the tide. Note the music changes at 0:06 and 0:51.
"it's called the all is lost moment!"
"Tell that to Zod's snapped neck"
@@wmascolin ?????
1:28 Look at how effortlessly Max drags that man out of the vehicle. People dont talk about this enough 😂
1:02 I just noticed the guy yelled "VALHALLA!!!", chills down my spine
The background score is another level thrills gives goosebumps and make the scene so perfect.
Just a little thing: I love that the dying Seedkeeper manages to rally just enough to kill the guy that stabbed Furiosa, and then dies with a smile on her face. She's such a small character but she really made an impact on me. I love that the Dag takes up her role too. Ugh this movie is just so perfect... every little detail.
when we include women of all ages as badass characters, it brings so much more to the screen x
This scene was spectacular and amazing. The destruction, the despair, and the desperation all rolled into one.
2:01 I love that this is really the only scene Immortan Joe and Max have together.
Lmao the poor Maneater being shot
Not a single cellphone in sight. Just people living the moment.
That one dude just shredding on his guitar all the time 🔥🤣
Framed, choreographed and executed to perfection. The best action film made in the last 10 years- maybe up there with the best ever.
Nobody gonna talk about the fact the enemy grunt has one of the most efficient and disturbing headgear possible?
When an action movie tries to be an actual action movie with real sets, practical effects, and physical acting then you got yourself a masterpiece!
Wish I could multi task like Furiosa
OöI'm
0:07 when you step on a lego
Max Rockantansky is Chuck Norris if not Doom Guy level badassery. Amazing movie, one of the best ever made.
"she's hurt, she's hurt real bad". and her eyes, really love it.
That might be the coolest practical explosion ever, because it's not miniature. It's that big.
This movie is a masterpiece
I dunno why this scene gives me chills
Her killing Slit's one of her most epic moments. Plus in every movie, Max or Nux would get a forced encounter and killing of him. In this, it's just any who gets the chance. Furiosa and Slit's one and only direct interaction and it's her killing him, lol.
Dang I don't have words for this movie.
That guitar guy is the best from the whole movie. Doesn't complain, doesn't ask questions. Just doing his job.
I damn near cryed when she got stabbed her screem wit the music hit me hard.
there's twice as much urgency in this chase because our heroes have a paradise to go back to
they just need to survive and I love every second of suspense here
Goosebumps
The guy playing the guitar
Gran película. Súper emocionante.
0:23 that menacing look tho 👀
that gaze from furiosa, you know what reminds me? that fallen angel painting
I wonder how many people still watch this masterpiece
That kick of Nox made Max do a 360 LoL!
Charlize Theron felt like she's cruising through the entire movie until this point, her anger and fury is just oozing through her nostrils when she sees Immortant Joe there
Goddamn, this movie just gets better with age. Some of the best action scenes ever filmed. The use of CGI as only a way to amplify the practical effects was so tasteful, incredible achievement from a cinematography and effects perspective
2:10 I love Max in the fuel truck blocking sight with and allowing the Rig around.
Ultimate Dystopian movie ever !!!
GODDAMN THIS MOVIE WAS SO GOOD
The movie is epic furiousa just went menace mode
SO VIOLENT
the best scene of the movie!!!
I love the fact that every single war boys is a mechanic, adds to their competence of their character.
Great inspiration for our younger generations everyday roadrage lifestyles
Rip grandma
Witness the Interceptor!
Man, Nux really came in clutch.
This is so cool
Great scene when Furiosa is trying to hold on to Max with her prosthetic arm. Though having Max get kicked and somehow fly over and grab onto another car and survive looked just a tad beyond impossible hahaa! :)
-Please define "pure epicness".
-George Miller:
Up there with the best movies of all time. Coming from someone who did not like any of the Mel Gibson Mad Max films.
Finally i found it😭😭😭
That last truck blows up twice. Once when Max leaps off of it and other when he kills the kidnapper
Noooo why did you end there? I want to keep watching! I guess I have to bring out the Blur-Ray....
Fantastic movie. 10 outta 10
Some others in my top ten are
The girl with the dragon tattoo
Gone girl
Did max pull the nail through his entire hand instead of just taking it out? It looked like he pulled it out from the sharp end.
Pull it out the other way and forget about using the hand ever again
Whats the song called when she gets stabbed? Supposedly its Chapter Doof (Extended) but its not in there.
fast and furious:my cool and amazing and racing scenes is not going to be beaten
mad max fury road:hold my war rig
The whole movie Max needs saving.
This isn’t true at all.
This feels structured like a fantasmed DnD battle
Is nice movie❤
0:23 literally painting of lucifer shot
The title of this video could be the name of any scene in the movie.
If their's a hell, the devil might rethink about it after seeing this
Is there an extended edition from the movie? Is see 3 deleted scenes.. 🤔
You should have left that in...
Man this scene is one of the scenes in a movie which makes you jump your emotions
Boy are they making a mess
WHAT A F&CKIN MOVIE
I did watch that movie after i big fan of Tom
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Furiosa é d+.....
Biggest incongruity in this movie is that the people eaters rig explodes 3 or 4 times but idc, it’s still a masterpiece
