      Your dumb, a 2 stroke is meant to be open wide I’m open, a 2 stroke can be revved to the sky all day no problem, only you can’t do with a 2 stroke is to hold it at top speed, that’s how you blow up a bike, he rides How a 2 stroke should be rode 100%

    I cannot believe I just witnessed someone put 2 part epoxy on a cylinder head, drill a hole into a shift shaft, put a bolt in it, and call it a day.. I’m not bashing because I’ve done some pretty sketchy shit.. but never when it comes to a motor.... thicker head gasket and get the head decked so it’s true again problem solved... 2 part epoxy is a piss poor fix to a big problem

      I have to agree, this is one way to completely wreck your engine when the jb weld starts to break off and drop into engine, like you said either decked and thicker or double gasket, or get it welded and decked, jb weld should never be used for this type of work, not as a permanent fix anyway.

      @alanpiper9614 5 років тому +5

      ShroomzGames agree 100%. He's as rough as guts, much better to weld the head and refinish. Epoxy on an engine combustion system, never. I'd never buy a bike from this guy, dodgy bush mechanic at best 😂😂😂

    Well that was real disappointing butcher bush mechanics. Epoxy as a permanent fix on an engine head, really?? As a temporary get out of trouble fix, maybe, but definitely not a permanent fix. Simple guys, if you are going to fix up a bike to sell on, do a proper job. Pull the top end and also check the crankshaft seals as well. Get the head welded and refinished (or replace the head), replace the stuffed shift shaft and shifter. If the crankshaft seals are stuffed split the casing and replace them, if the crankshaft seals are leaking it will affect the running of the engine. Then work on the tuning, carb, ignition. By taking your time and working through it you will learn a lot and will be rewarded by a job done right. Also it isn't expensive to do, a couple of seals - cheap, top end gaskets - cheap, bottom end gaskets - cheap, head re-worked - cheap, shift shaft - cheap. Once all done right and the engine running right, sell it for a profit knowing that you haven't stitched up a poor unsuspecting person is rewarding, try it.
    On another note, thrashing the shit out of those 2 strokes up and down the road for top speed isn't doing those engines any good wot with no increase in speed. The engines need load and not full rpm for extended periods. Look at the race bikes, do you ever see them maxed out rpm and held there, no they are using the gearbox and on the road bikes they have to back off for the corners before they are maxed out for rpm.

    JB weld is a bad idea on this part... The heat is way to extreme as this part expands and contracts. The JB weld won’t expand/ contract with the same consistency as the part.. It is definitely a temporary fix no doubt. AND unfortunately this bike is either not tuned properly or the pilot jet is still dirty or a combination of the two... or maybe a plug issue... bogs with hesitation on the low end.

    When you sand it down do a figure 8 motion like your trying to drawl a 8 with the head... if you just do a side to side motion I creates lines an the figure 8 motion make it ware evenly an dont just use any glass tempered glass is the best because its truly flat

  • @gtisid

    each thing you do you learn a bit more, hopefully you didn’t take too much off the head. field mechanics are what we have all done, every weekend at the track this stuff goes on so can’t see what everyone’s hang ups are. you do what you have to do.
    to buy a new head for a fucked up field bike is insane. fix it flip it move onto next project. if someone wants to do a full season on the thing then yeah the head skim maybe an issue. somehow I think the head is one of many little issues but it runs and will make some kid happy for a summer and nobody got hurt

      that's the slowest big bore i've ever seen lol i thought the whole idea of a "big bore" was to go faster then an 80...he'd be lucky to keep up to a JR 80...if you can't crack the throttle in 1st gear and shoot roost or pull the front tire you got problems...

      @@henryjohnson1567 Hatin?..Far from hatin. Dont we all wanna have fun?.. I was honestly just curious to what made this a big bore?.. Usually when you hear big bore your talking about a CR500 or Maico 700. So this being a 80-100 i wasnt really sure.
