I can get my cranck seals out with the stihl crank seal removal tool for chainsaws. I raced enduro/harescramble with a 2000 kx80 for a few years, have tried everything. The clutch arm you speak of, I've tried to extend, didn't help much, polish the sides of your clutch basket, good aftermarket ssprings and grease your cable and you got a silky smooth clutch, forget the cclutch armitage. As for power valves, they are all maintenance intensive, the early kx80 pv isn't bad, it's pretty small, I ran my bike on the lean side and spooge wasn't an issue, cclean the carbon maybe twwice a year that's it. I've only seen one that ccame apart and that one was abused. Anyway, their better than some but not the best.
You would put a smaller sprocket on the back for more top speed, or a larger sprocket on the front, but remember, 1 tooth change on the front sprocket is like a 3 tooth change on the back. Example: 1 tooth larger on the front is the same as 3 teeth smaller in the back. Hope this helps!
@baconator127 I would, but you have to take the engine out of the frame to clean it, and I have no reason to right now, but whenever it does need cleaning one day, I will make a vid of it!
depends on how you ride..if your just starting or trail riding with some playn on tracks on the side i think it would be a great bike ..6ft 220 and been riding over 20 yrs...i love my kx 100..i have now and have had many bikes including kx 500 and everything in between and road the dogshit outa everything ive had.ltr bikes, rockets, cafe 2stk, choppers, quads, all kinds all powers.get a book and learn it and its a great bike.im not big on big jumpstho, id break out the cr 250 for that...
i got the bike running it was dat power vale it was really dirty and i chekd the plates to the grear box and every thin looks new and gaskets too and my cluch cabel was messd up so i got a new one and i got power now tanx any way broh
other than the pipe and a twisted silencer I dont see anything you have actually done. Did you read about these things you are telling us? The clutch lever, the holes around the stator, the skid plate... Im not saying they wont help, I just dont see anything youve done to that tired KX
the powervalves on these just have too many parts to them..that arent real strong. its actually a slide like a flat carb slid with a whale fin flapper on the the end...its works well in theory and when it works for low and mid range. but yeah they are prone to breaking. definatly keep them clean and inspect them often...i love mine for trail riding an im 220. im amazed it has the low and mid it does..not having a big topend keeps me from getn hurt..lol
Sounds sweet. I'm a mold maker and sneak in heads to the shop sometimes. I like to pull vacuum and pressure on the crankcase to. Remember to check you squish band with some solder wire or plasti-gage. Enjoy the ski, 2 strikers are fun
+luis hurtado It could be many things. Worn out top end. extremely dirty air filter. The power valve not working right. The bike could be running to rich. Spark plug is fouled out (due to bike running rich)
125 or250 I can fit and start my dads 250 it really isint that herdto do but I have a 100 im 5ft 8 and I can hold up a 250 no problem mybrother was 6ft 3 and he looked funky riding on the 100
@@Jamiekx85I had a stomp 125 pit bike for the first year until i grew abit then I got a kx125, then just progressed my way up! Got to the 450s but nothing can beat the 2 strokes! Got a kx250 2 smoker sat in the garage now!
@@switch666. that’s insane great story I have a 97 kx100 have did everything and it just won’t start new top end new crank seals new carb new plughave did everything and won’t start gutted man
Could you please tell me the length and width and height of this.because a am looking at 1998 one and I can't the dimensions for one anywhere.i need to know because I'm wondering if it would fit in the car
+Nick “LancerM4tactical M4” Rice Theres so many things that could be wrong, id check the spark plug, make sure its snugged down right and not loose, make sure your power valve is working right, make sure your filters clean, gas is new, might need a new spark plug, make sure your carb jets are clean. I'd check all those first
+85ccmaster I checked the carb, gas, reeds, but idk how to check the powervalve when I bought it it raddles idk if that helps at all but the raddling stopped

Yo broh u tink u can send me all the up grades form your kx on the carb settings I want to buy a full upgrade for my kx100 ....
Im sorry man but I dont have the carb specs for the bike, I sold the bike long time ago and never wrote them down
do u know any place online wer i can buy a kit to make it a 125??????????
Nope
You can do a kx100 big bore, gives you around 105cc I think. .a good port job with matched pipe and ign timing would be better imo
Kustom-Kraft probably still sells big bore kits already ported and ready to go!
