Love the keyboard content, however if you're going to do that kind of content more frequently then I have 2 words for you; SOUND TEST. You must have keyboard sound tests. That is all.
The biggest issue is the backspace location. Tbh, backspace is used a lot (especially for those who make mistakes... All of us! ;p). It doesn't make sense to move such a common key further from your reach. 65% keyboards are amazing but the masdrop alt/canoe or even tada68 layout with the backspace in its normal placement would be much more optimal (and more comfortable for others to use)
XS doesnt stand for extra small lol. The X represents that it is the newer PCB model and the wireless version of the PCB would have an S. So the wired version of the PCB would be the GK68X and the wireless version is GK68XS. The number just represents the amount of keys the PCB has.
It's kinda crazy that they're asking $190 usd for this.. I just ordered a very similar keyboard (gk64, aluminum case and plate, rgb hot swap, same keycaps) off banggood for $160 canadian ($120usd). I thought the whole point of group buys was to make something cheaper, not more expensive
Looks like a non-standard key layout. buying new keys would be a bitch. The Anne Pro 2 has an excellent arrow key solution that uses the Shift key 2 FN and right control and it works amazingly. It also has bluetooth so you can easily switch between devices. ...and it's only $100 with a lot of great switch options.
@@Zaapiel22 No it's not. You can clearly see the right ctrl and shift buttons are smaller than normal. How would you fit 68 keys on a 61 key sized board and keep all the keys the same size. That's crazy talk. Elsass Lotharingen No. It does not support split spacebar.
Am I the only one who perfers 2.5ghz USB-a dongles for wireless??? Bluetooth always needs to be resync'd when I shut off my PC...sometimes it stays tethered after a reboot but RARELY...All my bluetooth devices are random generations too so not all sync with my PC....dongles are plug and play easy pz! No fuss. Do they make one that is not bluetooth but rather old school USB dongle wireless???
That board has Cherry MX knock offs, the switches aren't hot swappable, there is no wireless, there's no RGB, it has terrible ABS keycaps, there is no software customization, the stabilizers are terrible and not dampened or lubed, the space bar isn't customizable, no USB C, and the case is plastic. Other than that, totally identical.
Zap The switches are swappable, and it is a fantastic keyboard and typing experience. I don’t need the other features but I am sure there are plenty available with that feature set already for those that need it.
Thanks for these awesome vids. I have a doubt: Pledging and buying are same here or they mean something else? Also they said in their site that its not guaranteed that I will get the perk. If I dont, does it mean my money goes into donation? Or will I get full refund? Also the plastic case color is not given so if I choose pink keycaps will it by default ensure white case ? Please help.
A pledge is a commitment to give money only if they reach their goal. You don't specify what you want until the project is completed and they send an email asking what configuration you want of the specific tier that you backed.
The keyboard is 65 dollars to 180 dollars there are different models like the casing, if you want a plastic it’s cheaper but if you want a aluminum one it’s expensive. Check out the website on Kickstarter if you want to know more
q Egger the plastic one is $100 and it’s probably one of the best values you’ll get with mech keyboards. If you buy a $60 keyboard your most likely going to want to try new switches out in the future and customize it. The extra $40 is worth it for for future proofing, when you get tired of it years down the line, you can just put new switches in and it’ll change the whole experience.
Also I know you are somewhat freshly back in the US and I don't know anything about South African employment laws but YOU CAN'T KILL YOUR EMPLOYEES HERE
Uhm, no. You might find the PCB (Electronic board) for 16$. Without an aluminium case. Without the aluminium plate. Without the mechanical switches. Without the keycaps. Things which I assume are included in that 130$ version.

I assume that you can program one of the spacebars to be a backspace. That's what I'd do.

Looks good. Fills the same void as my Ducky One 2 SF.
I need one that exactly what i was looking for !

I have an non-rgb version for 70$. It's crazy the markup they are putting on these keyboards... maybe I should also do a Kickstarter!
I love my GK64 but I sure wish it had the 1.5u right shift. The 1u kills me. I never get used to it.
Are the keycaps standard size? So if I wanted to switch them. Would I need a certain layout? Or would any generic layout work?
sound test?
So no Linux super key?
i just got a motospeed ck61 i love it this keyboard is weird

Does it suppport a split spacebar tho?
It's a standard layout. There are other reviewers who have swapped out the keys.

No sound test!? 😭 looks nice though.
For the features it ha, it's worth the price.
Brett, what do you think of the backspace key placement?
You can buy keyboards identical to it for about $40 on amazon. The MagicForce 68 is fantastic.

The keyboard is 65 dollars to 180 dollars there are different models like the casing, if you want a plastic it’s cheaper but if you want a aluminum one it’s expensive. Check out the website on Kickstarter if you want to know more
There’s also the rk61 it’s like 60$ and it’s wired/wireless as well so I guess you ca. Buy it since it’s pretty cheap for a 60%

No number pad no go, I bought one and it drove me nuts
I meant to say I bought a keyboard without a number pad and it drove me nuts, I don't own one of these apologies for my bad typing
Hey could you do a sound test in these reviews... About the only flaw I see!
This is a keyboard for THANOS!!!
XS is not extra small it means it has bluetooth

How is it?

@@snowsurfer29 Just the best keyboard i ever have in my entire life . This is your final keyboard its just amazing !

Yeah boy!
Next keyboard with onboard touch pad.
Not bad
Do I have eyes, yes. Can they see purple, no. Purple is literally the only color I cannot see due to my colorblindness, the rest are just off.
Nobody going to mention the T-Shirt?!
Press F to C O M M E N T
the T-Shirt!
i hate the backspace placement
Brett says aluminium correctly! 🥳
No
bruh if you will do keyboard content, do research. Thank you. Still love you lol
The position of the backspace is a deal breaker.
ikr
You can change it in the software. JTTR did it.
AYYYYYYY I BOUGHT THIS ON KICKSTARTER =)
Backlighting makes no sense without shine through keys.
First! Love keeb vid 💯
I liek keebs too my gai
130$??? The same thing is 16$ on banggood

Cheapo china made micro keyboard looks way better than that
no volume rocker, no buy
Get a DAC/amp stack instead. You'll be happier with that anyway if you care about audio at all.
