Beautiful specimen, makes my heart pound just hearing it, sure would love a couple of laps on her...thanks for sharing. Great to see they're still out there, something only our generation can truly appreciate.
I remember when those were on the track. That looks like brand new! CZ, maico, Penton, bultaco, montesa etc were dominating in my early race days. That stuff was big bux and way out of our young reach back then.
I have also heard that supposedly when these bikes were imported into usa baking with extra piston rings Conrad and bearings and tools which the dealers obviously kept
I have 73 identical bike bought it from original owner came with steel rear fender and fiberglass front fender that weighed about 6 oz if you leaned on it it would crack first thing they replaced
They will run good if you make the proper modifications first thing is jerk off the jikov carb i had one after that you will need pipe ignition flywheel air box &cleaner & they were heavy -- replace fuel tank rims tires rear shocks fork kit seat kit ..after all the above there great bikes.
I always loved those coffin gas tanks, and that bike could put you in a coffin if you weren’t skilled lol. They sure don’t make them like that anymore. On the other hand, 1973 was not a great year for suspension on an MX bike. Looks like it has something like 3 inches of travel for the rear.😅

Agree! And thanks for the kind words! Mark - Mayer Brothers
Sweet
Very nice, and runs crisp. I have a similar model, and they're great vintage mx racers.
Absolutely!!
Used to ride one in So Cal desert pie plate races. Good memories.

Is that Preston Petty plastic on an old CZ? Thought they came with aluminum fenders back then?
The earlier ones are steel, the 73 definitely came with plastic.
