Tavy 5 - Our first race review.

- It's Saturday morning around 9am and we're reviewing a 5k race BUT, it's not a parkrun.
We are at the Tavy 5k race in Tavistock, Devon. Organised by my running club Tavistock Athletic Club.
This will be our first race review!
The weather started a little overcast but soon cleared to become lovely, warm and sunny.
Starting on the Tavistock athletic track, we ran around the track to then exit the track on to the paved path that wraps around the school and then into the beautiful Meadowlands park.

We loved this 5k race and not just because it's run by my club. It's genuinely a great course and really well marshalled. There's always a really welcoming atmosphere and the running abilities really do range from beginner to very fast.
It also only costs £1 (affiliated) or £2 (unaffiliated).
A massive thank you to Tavistock Athletic Club, all the marshals and volunteers and supporters on the course. Hope you enjoy the video.

Great review and fab video. I agree with James that the Tavy 5 is a great race to get a good time, I frequently do the monthly Tavy 5 and I am usually more than a minute faster than at the Plym Valley or Central Parkrun’s in Plymouth. Always great organization by TAC and very friendly at registration. I love the track start and finish.
