All I can say is thank you, Elvis is the best ever and always will be ♥️
That's the most energetic elvis performance I've ever seen. Absolutely love it. He gave it his all.
Elvis never needed pyrotechnics on stage because Elvis was the pyrotechnics 🧨
This is the real stuff..No lip sync..No autotune..2 Shows a day..Sometime 3 shows a day..
The drummer said He would read Elvis’ physical cues and drum for his movement. He said it was like drumming for a stripper. EPIC performance!
Elvis’ performances will never grow old. His talent was unique never to be repeated
My favorite Entertainer of ALLLLL Times....love you Elvis❤️❤️❤️❤️
He was the full package! He had it all and like you said, the talent. He is sexy and easy on the eyes.... it’s ok if you say so!!
He owned a stage and was so natural all the time.
He was fun to watch, it made you smile.
The interactions with other group members and the
audience was what made him so loved. People looked
at him and knew despite the heights he reached he was
an approachable human being.
I saw Elvis live in 1974 I was all of 17 years old. It took less than one minute for me to figure out why women fainted! I didn't faint, but it was the best concert I have ever been to in my life and I've been to a lot of concerts, nothing compared to seeing Elvis.
Which show were you at? Any more details you can add...the atmosphere, how it changed once he got on stage, etc. Thanks
@@Phoenix7878 The show was at the IU Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana. I guess the best way to describe how things changed when Elvis stepped on stage would be electric, it was like someone flipped a special switch that turned on the entire crowd, it was pretty exciting and crazy!
I'm so jealous wish I could have seen him I was only 10 when he passed away I remember it vividly my mum tòld me when I woke up I didn't go to school that day it was the 1st death that I remember and I cried for days but we've got video and recordings of him and he will never die happy Christmas to you and your family
Becky Kinser-Arthur I was 12. Still love him!
@@beckykinser-arthur3122 I could only imagine. His entire aura just screamed CHARISMA! Wow, truly one of a kind man.
This was his signature song. He'll start doing crazy stuff. When he does the band reacts to whatever Elvis is doing.
You enjoyed that performance almost as much as HE did 🤭
This is an example of Elvis's natural gift . He's just the coolest Human being to EVER walk on a stage 😉
Totally electrifying.... We do not see this in our days!! He Was the Génesis of modern music.. The KING FOREVER
Oh my sweet Jesus...the man was FLY 🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 And GAWGEOUS SMILE and the dimple...😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
This was exactly why he was the King! He was the greatest of all time!
There will never be another like him.
How on earth was he able to do that moves......a rare top workout I must add......oh gosh..tq
He had that charisma even off stage. The Best Singer that God has given us for the 42yrs he was here with us.
Elvis was THE MASTER of the stage. 🧡
I am from the Netherlands and a huge fan of Elvis Presley since I was little.I grew up with his music
It is amazing to me that his music still lives on ..the greatest of all time and founder of the music we know now...Thank you for your comments and for enjoying his music
I enjoy the way Elvis laughs and jokes....I don't think he took himself as seriously as others did :) This song discribes his life...caught in a trap.
I just realized how much work his drummer is doing in this tune.
Yup. Hard-working Ronnie Tutt.
Elvis loved 🎶🎶🎶, it was part of him.He couldn't sing without part of his body moving. He felt it and h is body responded.😊 Its so great having some of the younger generation liking his music as much as some of his older fans.
This would be his chain suit concert in vegas from Elvis that's the way it is
There's no doubt that Elvis loved what he did and had fun while doing it. You can tell he was having a ball on that stage.
What a lot of people don’t realize is Elvis didn’t follow the drummer, Ronnie Tutt followed every move that Elvis made and played the drums based upon those moves.
I enjoy his unscripted moves much more then the choreographed performances of most entertainers. He just seems to move naturally with the beat
Another awesome song by the KING! He doesn't really have a bad one! The KING forever!
The king, always will be
Oh my goodness, I could watch you break down Elvis ALL DAY LONG!! I, like you, have recently discovered just what all the hype about Elvis was all about and have turned into a huge fan. I would love to have gotten to witness that in person! He had unmatched charisma, talent, looks, you name it he had it & on top of that was a wonderful human being! And YOU have a great talent & wonderful charisma yourself in breaking down these performances. I love your humor and the faces you make and am soooo glad I found you! Keep on doing you! (And keep on doing Elvis anytime you want to 😉 lol)
Elvis was the most adorable human ever born
Did anyone catch the "shove it up her nose" vocal? LOL Elvis loved to play with the audience. Playing "psych!" ...LOL
I discovered this cat Elvis late, my early years growing up in 80's were spent mocking Elvis, only knew the fat self parody Vegas Elvis. Saw the movies, didn't mind them. But I was an MJ, Prince, LL Cool J, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Slayer, Doors, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen etc etc etc kinda teenager. Then, one day watched one of my heroes Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) go into a night he met Elvis. How "naturally cool he was, the way he walked, his swagger, his gorgeous looks, just oozed coolness". Sort of took me aback a bit. That got me starting to researching history, Sun Records, Beale Street, all the segregation and Race Hate that was still for all to see. The fusion of it being a Tri-State area, as Memphis was. Gospel, Country, Blues all furtile in the area. And it totally transformed my utterly unremarkable, unlettered and arrogant prior notions. This cat Elvis, overcame plenty, endured plenty and never ever said "woe is me". Never rude to a fan, a journalist. Just a rare, rare person, with a dream and the "Big Dog Gangsta Balls" to go for it. And boy, did he win the Super Jackpot in the lottery of Life/Genetics. The total package.
You said it
Well said...especially the bit where Elvis was never rude, never pulled rank and never complained...just stayed humble....you find yourself defending his name quicker than someone in your own family :)
Wonderful statement. I'm curious to know what todays youth not currently interested in anything Elvis might think of him in 20 years from now.
@drright10 Sorry, the fat era, post 74/75 the parody years.
@drright10 this was the 1st Vegas appearance.
a million singers a million concerts this will be the most electric performance and song of them all
Thank you for your detailed reaction. ...loved it.Elvis and his drummer fed off each other's energy and Elvis was always either having a little fun with "The Sweet Inspirations" or looking over his left shoulder and smiling at them. You will see that in most of his videos.I watched an interview with 2 of the "Sweet Inspirations" They talked of his kindness and generosity towards them. They loved him dearly. ...
Elvis performed the hell out of every song. When he performed he gave his fan everything he had. He left it all on the stage.
Love Elvis, love your reviews of his talent. Thank you for giving him a chance.
Your right Brother, Elvis is a G. He was one of the coolest people around, bought houses and cadillacs for hundreds of people, yes "hundreds" they said he loved to see the faces of people he helped
Elvis OWNED the stage.
Unmatched charisma!!!!! The KING AND GOAT!!! AND speaking of rings... he was on a flight once and a lil boy said, 'one day I'll have a ring like that!' ... Elvis took his off and gave it to him. :) a few weeks later it was found on the kid and the cops didn't believe the story... but they got in contact with Elvis' ppl and sure enough, it had been a gift!!! Whata man!!!
Elvis is my favorite artist of all time thanks for your videos man I sing his music all the time I listen to him almost everyday grew up with his music and hey man I love all your videos
Subscribe to my channel if u can
The King impresses all generations!!👑
NEVER HAS BEEN AND NEVER WILL BE AGAIN ANYONE LIKE THIS CAT!! MAN WHAT A VOICE. DAMN!!
Elvis Presley in his prime.......Wow!!!!!!
I had a terrible youth but I discovered Elvis and he brought fun and happiness into my life..he Sings everything he can uplift my spirit when I am down..he can make me think when he Sings gospel music..Elvis is always there when I Need him. Greetings from Ostend Belgium and thanks for those great reactions.
He owned the stage from his very first public performance, until his last performance when he was already ill.
I seem to recall what was going on with Elvis teasing and saying "boo" to the young girl backup singer - she was young and enamoured with Elvis & also new to the band but she went all school girl soft when Elvis came around, he knew this and was just having fun with her on stage--lol Im sure she never forgot it either. He was very good and kind to those who worked with him, wish I could say the same about colonel Parker his manager - ran Elvis into the ground like a race horse and gambled away tons of his money.
I don't care how many time I watch this, it gets me every time. Thanks man, now I gotta repent again. No wonder girls fainted at his concerts. Most beautiful, talented and sexiest man EVER!!!!!
Yes,yes yes.
THE KING! Not the King Of Pop, The King of Blues, The King of Soul, Country, R&B, he was bigger than a label and being cornered into one single genre, he transcended them all. When you say, "The King" you know exactly who is being referred to. There may be Queens, Princes and even Presidents, but there is only one King! Keep up the good work and keep discovering Elvis. It's something that you will never give up and he will become a part of your life just like he has to all us fans!
My two favorite "performers " were Elvis and Freddie Mercury. Love to watch them do their thing. They always left you with a smile.
You're exactly right. The stage was where he came to life and could be his true self, normal life was not made for him.
Reactors are learning not to take their eyes off Elvis when he's on stage because he's so unpredictable you never know what you'll miss.
When Elvis was asked by a reporter .... How close is Elvis to the Image ........ Elvis said " It's hard to live up to an Image ..... I'll put it that way "
I loved your joke about the cool off period lol I love Elvis' sense of humour too how he would sneak up on the sweet inspirations, Myra so knew he was gonna do something and yet Elvis still managed to shock the heck out of her so funny lol There are so many things I love about Elvis he could do the most amazing things, like if any of his band members were out of tempo only a tiny bit Elvis would pick up on it and let that band member know. The way the music flowed through his body, how he felt every note he heard and sang with all of his heart and soul, how he put everything he had into his performances and how he would conduct the band with his body movements. On a personal level I love how Elvis was so humble he never forgot his roots, he never saw himself as a big star, he never put himself above anyone else like some stars do today. One example.... when the sweet inspirations first started to sing for Elvis they wanted to call him boss and he said to them I'll not your boss, I'm your brother and when he was introduced to people for the first time he never assumed they would know who he was, he would shake their hand and say hi I'm Elvis Presley I think that is so sweet, he was so down to earth.
I love your reactions to Elvis how you dance about and how he makes you smile and sing along with him, he has the same affect on me too :)
He has you drawn in with the rest handsome looks ,THAT body, the moves and the energy And HE CAN SING TOO!!!!. AND FOR EVERYONE WHO LOVES HIM, HE COULD STILL. DO IT IN 1977. I LOVE HIM IN 2021
Love that smile! From what I've read, the band watched him and followed him. This is Vegas and he did 2 - 3 shows a day! Incredible!!! He always gave it his best.
I JUST LOVE THE GORGEOUS MAN WHAT A ENTERTAINER NUMBER ONE
Even a veteran Elvis fan such as myself can learn a thing or two from your observations. Thanks.
ELVIS THE G.O.A.T !! is the best-selling solo artist, with 1 billion sales worldwide (129.5 million in the USA).
Elvis was blessed by God to be the consumate singer, entertainer and showman that ever lived. That's why so many people love him, including me.
This is from the "that's the way it is concert", he was brilliant in this show so full of power and life,he loved being back on stage in front of a live audience. Contrast that with 7 years down the line and Elvis was a shadow of his former self.
Depressed from his divorce, addicted to prescription painkillers and being over worked by a thieving gambling addict manager and surrounded by yes men(Memphis mafia).
That is a PERFORMANCE! PERIOD!
Watching this over and over again and you’re right that hip movement is sinful and he can drum roll pound me any time even in spirit🙏🙏🙏🤣🤣🤣
He could sing anything you gave him. He was a great person. He really loved his fans.
He does a epic show. Then spends hours singing gospel songs with his back up singers and anyone else who wanted to join in ☮️♥️
Elvis was the whole package
I am so glad you got to discover for yourself what an awesome performer Elvis truly was. Now you know why he was loved by so many and honestly was The King. Thank you for checking him out for yourself. God Bless!
I believe that Elvis would've really enjoyed watching you enjoying his performance, had you been in the audience. I love your energy and comments!
Love, love, love watching you jam to this! Elvis is my all time favorite! Glad to see he still lives on through his music and his UNMATCHED performances! Much love to ya! 🕺🏻
Oh! Ever in a bad mood, put in some Elvis gospel, greatest hits, or your personal favorites. You won’t stay in that mood for long! Nothing makes me smile like and Elvis song, because I can incision him performing it and I get to goose bumps, and smile bigger than Dallas! Going back to Graceland in January, I can’t wait!!!!!!
I think Elvis had a crush on that backup singer!
"I'll leave it where I said it, talk among you'selves" 😂😂😂
Awesome reaction! Love it 😂
His drummers knew to watch his butt for what was coming up next.
He was a prankster on stage and off 😂
He was definitely the real deal. His voice was so beautiful, especially when he sang ballads like "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You."
Great reaction, please note he hated to be called King and said only Jesus Christ was King. Also, he did NOT self-proclaim himself King like others tend to do. Imagine if he had a manager who could have grown with him and cared about him a person versus the almighty buck. I f I was his manager everything would have been filmed, would have paid the song writers for great songs, select movies when a good one came around, European tour, major tour after the army, no long-term undervalued contracts, etc. He is beyond great now and that was in spite of the incompetence. Elvis had so many intangibles but the one thing that makes his legacy continue is that raw voice that could sing anything. I can’t think of one male singer who’s vocal ability improved each year. His vocal strength is unbelievable. Keep in mind the man was toured to death the last 3 years of his life.
One of the reasons I was able to escape the cycle of racism in my white southern family was because my granndmama was born just as poor as him in Columbus, MS, not far from Elvis...I dont know what's in the water in northeast Mississippi, but she also stood up for black folks to the rest of my family and had an utmost respect for the community, and she was militant in instilling that respect in her grandchildren.
I have the upmost respect for you after watching your "Elvis Evolution" and your honesty about your previous thoughts on Elvis. Thank you for this. The man is still a gift to humanity, working on racial harmony even now.
He put his heart an soul into every song he ever did
Anybody else would be laughed off the stage. He played the band like a stripper. Only Elvis could pull that off.
The king
All of the Elvis impersonatiers cant and never will Top him ever. There is only one voice of elvis that no one can impersonate just saying TFS
I agree. I can't even bring myself to watch the impersonators. The Elvis voice that I love is gone. When I want to hear Elvis I go back to my cd's, because it's the real thing.😊
It's amazing to know there are still Elvis impersonators all over they world, a lot of them. It's surreal to see these guys all over the Phillipines, for example. The power of Elvis.
He did martial arts to keep in shape and that's why he can move and get low. If you notice he holds his hands like in a martial arts stance. He knew every note and beat of his arrangement of each song. I mean how many singers can you count that worked with an orchestra on every song. YOU CAN'T!
I really enjoy how you notice the little things like he wasn't just dancing he was Conditioning the band with his body.
I love how he interpreted songs. He was genius at it. Way way back when he did the Milton Bearle show he suddenly unknown to his little band totally changed the tempo and slowed it way down. You can actually see them look at each other and follow his lead. Best performance of hound dog ever.
Another song he interpreted well is what now my love. Frank Sinatra intercepted as a peppy song but Elvis sang it with a longing feeling of loss.
Anyway great reaction. I am enjoying getting to know you through your channel.
👍
Yep Joanne! Yep!
When he goes onstage he becomes THE KING! i wish live shows were still raw like this! A shame they aren't and most likely never will be since singers can use tech to make themselves sound like they can sing better than they actually can.
I can never tire of your reactions and beautiful words for this great man and like you will defend and love him for all he is until God calls me home. Love it
Cissy Houston - Whitney Houston Mom do background singing for Elvis for a few yrs late 60's and early 70's
Cissy Houston was with Elvis for only five weeks in the summer of 1969.
Just to add a little info, while the Sweet Inspirations worked with Elvis to the end, Cissy Houston was only with him for about 5 weeks. She wanted to spend more time at home and work on her solo career (she already had a solo contract). I've seen better interviews on youtube, which I can't find right now, but here's a link to one where she pretty much covers the important bases. ua-cam.com/video/2oJOU6qGLtg/v-deo.html
Elvis did two and sometimes three shows a day at this energy level when working Vegas, he gave his audience a hundred ten percent and had a good time doing it.
This is from the concert film Elvis: That’s The Way It Is. It’s on blu-ray. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend you do.
Elvis, the music will live on ❤️
Elvis had a crush on the backup singer that he scared her name is Myrna Smith. He asked her out on a date one time but she told him that she had just started dating Elvis's manager, which he didn't know so he apologized and backed off. Myrna later married Elvis's manager.
He made that back up singer blush. That’s what she was doing. Lol 😂 I love me some Elvis.
Elvis at his prime was incredible-raw passion-energy-just thankful they filmed these shows so we can enjoy them now. never be another like him-he set the bar
My parents were classical music lovers, and unfortunately, I was a teenager in the 80s, so when they said Elvis was low-brow and pop music and country were all lower than classical, I thought 80s music was kinda dumb. But, after growing up, and finding out about blues, classic rock, and Elvis, I realized my parents were way too narrow minded and they didn't enjoy music enough. How could anyone not love Elvis?
The young woman he playfully scared was Sylvia Shemwell, one of the three Sweet Inspirations.
Really? I've never heard of her.
So loved the reaction and seeing Elvis at his prime. Living in Memphis I have to say I have avoided Graceland and other "Elvis-centric" areas. My 20+ years here. Now thinking I am missing out on some great history. Rethinking exploring it more.
You'll learn so much--you'll be so glad
My man Elvis beautiful inside and out
I'm such an Elvis Fan. I have seen this 100 times. And 100 more but you mace me laugh. So I hit the button. You get it! You get him, pretending to be exhausted oh I'm so tired, HELLO GOTCHA! I'll be here two more hours. And back for the evening show.
He was taken advantage of and a contract was signed tying him to the Las Vegas gigs for x amount of years. Check out his personal information and his background and where he came from and the manager called colonel. Elvis was a devout Christian, no alcohol, no recreational drugs. But Elvis was so trusting and colonel had a physician on duty to give Elvis shots because Elvis needed to be on the operating table and nobody would tell him the truth about the source of his pain.. Colonel just wanted to keep him alive so he could make the money. Had his manager really loved him like a son he would not have died like he did. He was curable until too many "shots" made him bloated and struggling to breath. His contract was almost up and he was working on getting is shape to tour. He had just played racket ball with his trainer showered for bed and died on the toilet because the opioid "shots" had cemented his bowels. He was too generous and too trusting. Colonel rode that horse till it died.
Thank you for sharing this magnificent performance! !!!!! I appreciate your attention to the details too.He was having fun and laughing too.His drummer Ronnie Tutt and Elvis fed off each others energy. ..Ronnie said in an interview that "The only thing better than playing drums for him was spending time with him".....nice.
ONE of his best performance, more then 50 years ago! Thank you for sharing! Love it 👏👏 🇳🇱
He always had black singers, Whitney Houstan's mother Sissy was one of them! (the one he shocked)
Elvis was the OG!
The drummer followed him
"Hard workin' Ronnie Tutt."
Ronnie Tutt is the Drummer and in later years he toured with Neil Diamond!
Tim Carr He’d always get the biggest applause during the band introductions.
ELVIS IS THE KING FOREVER! AWESOME voice and his presence on stage was second to none and will always be the KING! PLEASE react to "American Trilogy" from the Aloha from Hawaii concert!
Thank you for your reaction and appreciation of Elvis, he for sure was one of a kind!
