SO happy to be able to share this episode with you guys! Ricky is a huge inspiration of ours, so it's always an honour to sit down personally with him and learn from him! Please drop a like on the episode!
Love the podcasts Jack but could you look into altering the sound as it’s too quiet on some parts? Great to see you with Gervais though you can see that your humour is inspired by him. :)
@@lb7164 the Muslims love the way you think. You were given this amazing civilisation and you're just going to piss it all away because you'd rather remain an edgy teenager.
I think you did this brilliantly Jack, this is the best of the recent Ricky podcasts because he so clearly really likes you and your personalities are very well suited. You managed to get more genuine answers from him because I reckon he sees a bit of himself in you. You appealed to his roots and where he came from which I've always thought is where Ricky's genius comes from. Top job mate.
Jack Evans he’s done this with Ricky many times 😂 I wasn’t making fun of him though because if I was in a room with Ricky I doubt I’d even be able to speak 😂🤧
I vaguely remember him saying he didn't like being judged on what he wore because of a dodgy jumper he got shit for wearing on Jonathan Ross, so he decided to only wear stuff that he can't be judged on. You found a way though somehow... Lol
IAmRedherrings yeah, not judging at all. I would never judge anybody on what they wore, but especially not someone I’ve paid money to see on 4 different occasions...lol
That’s actually a very minor crime tho. Since the people didn’t know the gun had blanks it’s still assault (scaring someone) but that has a max sentence of 6 months. Plus the crime of owning the gun

I love how much of a real conversation this is. He's not just answering questions for the sake of it or just to promote his series. You can really hear the passion for his craft. Great job Jack!
My brother died this year from covid. My dad and I found him. 34 yrs old. Ricky put his heart out there with afterlife. Rickys writing brought tears to my eyes.
Ricky is the most down to earth empathetic, educational and such a diamond of a guy.. he’s a legend but he doesn’t care one bit.. he lives to entertain. Been watching him for a very long time.. but this podcast showed us how human he is..
I'm a huge Ricky Gervais fan and have been for fifteen or so years. Having kept a keen eye on his recent interviews, I realised how much he repeats himself, often telling the same anecdotes across multiple interviews. Having not been a fan of UA-camrs I chose not to watch this when it came out, but watching it now I realise this is a really refreshing and original insight. Go on lad, interview by somebody who's obviously a real fan.
He’s a top guy and one of very few celebrities that are down to earth. I’ve recently watched his Netflix series afterlife and I’m annoyed with myself that I didn’t watch it sooner because it’s brilliant. Ricky must have been a pleasure to talk with and I could only imagine how much fun someone working with him would have. Thanks for the podcast Jack it’s made me love this guy even more to hear about his charity work too
I love it when Ricky is on your podcast. It's no media questions that he's going to get in every interview. Obviously there's some things you have to ask, like what is After Life about but other than that always seems fun.
This was a really enjoyable podcast and you could tell Ricky appreciated the thoughtful questions. Had laughs, serious moments and the bits were you asked for advice on stand up/writing was genuinely wholesome af. Great work 👌
Ricky talking about money and how you should use it smartly is exactly what I think. Enjoy it while you have it. Do what you want with it. As long as you’re doing what you enjoy in life and are getting paid a decent wage, you’re winning. I love Ricky. What a guy 🤍
Never heard RG go into details about the minutiae of his work like he did when you asked him the technical questions. That was really interesting to hear his writing process etc
I love Ricky Gervais as one of my favourite comedians in the same sense you’re one of the best youtubers you’re both logical and intelligent and know that anything can be funny if mentioned in the right way, this would have a lot more views if society actually paid attention to what’s important
