I kept commenting on videos before that, that I couldn't wait for King Arthas and there it is. Not only you announce you're not going to use Possess but you also blitzed it and made it look easy this is incredible Grant good job.
I remember this campaign. It was the coolest in my opinion but the largest spike in difficulty I had ever encountered in my old Blizzard RTS experience. I am in awe at these runs.
Loving the Deathless. This is the most impressive one yet. What weirded me out was that the banshee could not be used. Taking possession does not count as a lose for me. If anything, it is an exchange in technical terms.
While you do make a understanding statement, the description of the ability says other wise. "She then displaces the soul of the enemy, giving you permanent control of it, but destroying the caster's body. " I dont know about you but "Destroying the casters body" does not sound deathless to me lol.
I have been looking forward to this since you posted the first human deathless campaign. That final mission still gives me nightmares just from my casual playthrough as a kid
All this Warcraft nostalgia reminded me of that other RTS I loved to play as a kid. Ever heard of Universe At War? Fun times. I'd honestly love to see you play that one.
This has been one of the most amazing playthroughs on youtube of any game, so many clever tactics and incredible feats to barely scrape by. Thank you so much for making these Grant
Btw, they patched a lot of things about a year ago and increased difficulty on hard (except for the Maiev campaign where they added a ridiculously op unit). Also apparently they kinda sorta fixed the Forgotten One and he now uses Flamestrike, Cripple and Firebolt. The only thing still missing about it is that I recall it used to have charm.
The bit at 19 about how Reforged fixes it, that actually makes it much much easier for a non-deathless run since you can just dab on illidans forces with a well setup Anub+ghoul rush>necro>frost progress.
I've spent hours trying to beat the last mission on hard, both in the original and reforged. It's one thing being stuck as a kid, but another when you have 20 years of experience. And then you see this, where a deathless run is faster than a normal run. Bravo!

I went through hell doing the last mission legit when I was a kid, and here you are, speed running it. lol Another great entry to a fantastic series. Bravo.
Honestly, the fact that you managed to actually do all the campaigns deathless on hard is impressive as hell. You have my respect sir (the gameplay plus the editing must have taken a whole lot of time). I know that you said on Discord that you're not planning to do this challenge on custom campaigns (cus the UA-cam overlords would mess with you), but I'd still love to see you try them on Twitch at least, along with some other possible challenges like only footman/ghoul/grunt/archer or Twitch Trolls on Warcraft 3. Either way, I'll stick around to see the new fun stuff you'll come up with (liked your Starcraft stuff too, even though I don't play that game). Would be nice if you'd make community posts about them, so we'll all get to see ^_^
Does Reforge still have the shade abuse trick? That's where when Illidan is channeling, you can box him in with Shades and tell them to hold ground; they won't move, and Illidan can't force them out of his way. Since the Naga's once weakness is they don't have detection, you can literally hold Illidan in place with about 6-8 Shades, and do what you need to do and not worry about him.
Its been years since I played the campaign of both Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne but this is the first time I saw this Quest involving the Forgotten One
Wow you mad man you actually did it, I swore to myself that it wouldnt be possible but you actually did it. Granted, Reforged threw you a bone and you had to break the game through a glitch basically for the last mission, but still, truly insane.
You know what im reminded of ? That time ive ben playing tug of war maps, and someone made it so , when blademaster used bladestorm, hed gain invurnable. If you used that dagger of escape , youd retain that status, and just kill everything. That is all i have to say. That wasnt ai manipulation, or something you can pull off.
9:44 this reminds me of what happens in dawn of war, the sisters of battle stronghold specifically In the mission, the enemy periodically sends crusades, giant armies, to destroy your base But only your starting base, if you make a new one anywhere else, they‘ll just stand there once they destroy all your buildings, and if you don‘t kill all the units from the crusade a new one will never spawn( i have no idea if the new one would find your new base or not as i just left them to vibe in the corner)
Won't work. Units are dying only when leader dies, those games don't care about separate soldiers. So there would be no way to track who died. Unless you fully abandon using infantry... which might work in case of CnC. For DoW, DoWII campaign might work too. CoH is too infantry focused so it won't work.
New idea: beat games without a mousepad. You can only move your mouse with your fingers or hands. Also thank you so much for playing Warcraft 3, bringing it some life after Blizzard fluffed up. When I was young I would play warcraft 3 a lot and I really liked it, one of the best games I played. So you trying these challenges I never honestly thought of is just so nostalgic and refreshing, it's really cool :D
what about the rpg orc campain it might be a free win but there are some moments where you are supposed to use units and you also have a lot of summons in this
Yeah, I was hoping he'd mention the Rexxar campaign. That last bit where you're assaulting Theramore would be challenging due to the saving allies rule.

The Forgotten One was crap when I played, I don't think it's Reforged's mistake. 2. You could use Sylvanas Charm pretty much at the begining of Dark Lady, so you could charm ogres and bandits after 5 minutes 3. You can destroy entire Blood Efl base in Return to Northrend only using Sapphiron, but it'll take an hour or so. Now that you've finished SC2 and WC3 deathless I'd love to see a video of which maps you thought were the hardest.
He will do a tier list of the deathless runs. I’m sure he’ll mention his favorite missions of each run. Idk if he’ll make it a main video tho
Grant tanking KA, only to get thrown for a quick loop by two random-ass Necromancers got a chuckle from me.
Now I wonder what the bonus campaign would be like deathless? Since you can't use quillboars you will be losing out on a lot of DPS, and managing Misha's HP would also be pretty rough, but then again the bonus campaign was basically WOW in W3 engine so maybe it isn't that far off?
I don't think that it's actually possible - an early mandatory mission requires you to use Goblin Sappers... who are suicide units.
@@willbrolley262 Oh. But other than those?
It would be very easy, actually.
The campaign frankly isn't worth doing.
@@brunocosta4402 The Flight from Theramore and the Naga Attack is pretty difficult to do even on Normal, so it would be worth it to try.
@@brunocosta4402 Yeah, but Founding of Durotar is maxium comfy.
The Furbold rampage was still the best finish ever. Thanks for the videos, i had a lot of fun.
I loved every second of this series with Starcraft and Warcraft ngl
The AI : *"Hey the player doesn't have base. We won!"*
GGG : *"There is another!"*
Amazing how Reforged actually has something fixed for once xD
Illidan : *"You think you can just channel the obelisk in front of me and walk away?"*
Arthas : *_"Yeah"_* **teleports away*
Arthas: yes now later bitch *teleports to home base*
Illidan: I'm putting the word out. Five hundred grand for this clown dead; a million alive, so I can teach him some manners first.
Hell yeah. I was waiting for this.
This was an incredible journey and a ton of fun to watch
He did it, he effing did it! Man, what a ride, kudos for the hard work and dedication, such a pleasure to watch these series of deathless runs!
These were one of my favorite series on youtube, thank you!
I dont know about you but "Destroying the casters body" does not sound deathless to me lol.
@@GamingBlueNOOB Agree to disagree.
@@mrravinraven Yeah, thats the best way to say that tbh.
@@GamingBlueNOOB If you want to go much further, banshees already died once. Thats why they are banshees.
Incredible. I think I've never seen an harder game challenge and you really did it.
I was 100% convinced this would be impossible. Well played, Grant. Well played.
I never thought one could do this. I was certain that the undead campaign was impossible. Massive kudos to you for this!
Been looking forward to this one in particular, especially after catching the last missions strategy live!
All the missions had amazing strategies
The bit at 19 about how Reforged fixes it, that actually makes it much much easier for a non-deathless run since you can just dab on illidans forces with a well setup Anub+ghoul rush>necro>frost progress.
I am sad at the end of this, But thank you for taking us on this journey!
Thanks for uploading grant , this has to be by far one of the hardest deathless Warcraft next to the blood elf campaign/sentinel
The only mandatory deaths in the upcoming bonus campaign would be the 4 sappers.
I've spent hours trying to beat the last mission on hard, both in the original and reforged. It's one thing being stuck as a kid, but another when you have 20 years of experience. And then you see this, where a deathless run is faster than a normal run. Bravo!
WHITE TEXT COMPILATION (because I enjoy watching videos podcast style, which means I miss out on a lot of the funny flavour text):

This series has been an amazing journey. I'm sad to see it end but in awe of your skill.
Wow, I was just thinking about this series last night. And now it's here. What a coincidence.
Omg, i just finished all other videos in series in a random order, thinking that they was done years ago. And BAM! 16 minutes ago we got this gem.
Thank you good sir!
Mass siege engine... The scummyest, yet most funny tactic in WC3 pvps!
Glad you used it in this run xD
Awesome editing and a splendid job explaining! Thank you for taking the time :)
very impressivce stuff. love the creative ways you find to break games in these challenge runs.
Well done! I don’t usually comment on YT but you have done a sensational job! Really enjoyed watching all your war 3 deathless videos and thank you for bringing all my nostalgic memories ❤️
I went through hell doing the last mission legit when I was a kid, and here you are, speed running it. lol
Another great entry to a fantastic series. Bravo.
"But instead I was left disappointed."
Sums up general feeling about Reforged.
Would be nice if you'd make community posts about them, so we'll all get to see ^_^
capping your own framerate is a mildly common speedrunning trick xD, that said, congrats on spotting it! that was clutch :P
Never seen that last mission done so easily, I remember having trouble just trying to keep two altars... with bases and defenses.
Man GiantGrantGames I can't tell you how much I appreciate your WC3 deathless runs! Absolutely phenomenal stuff! I know how difficult it was!
Land mines are simply insane in this game and undervalued by many players
'The Scourge Campaign is without a doubt the hardest Deathless run I have ever done'
palpatine_ironic.png
It took him 15 hours for the Sylvanas missions.
@@Costin_Gaming he meant that he is literally controlling the dead but despite it those were the hardest "deathless" missions
Grant, becoming more and more powerful every challenge.
Symphony of Frost and Flame LOL
I didn't know there was an ASOIAF reference in Warcraft 3.
Its been years since I played the campaign of both Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne but this is the first time I saw this Quest involving the Forgotten One
Your HD image of the sleep spell is the first time I realized that it's a closed eye, always though it was a bell.
Finally. Hope to see more Warcraft content on this channel.
The trick at the end was, to die for? No, but really, that was exceptional, well done!
Wow you mad man you actually did it, I swore to myself that it wouldnt be possible but you actually did it. Granted, Reforged threw you a bone and you had to break the game through a glitch basically for the last mission, but still, truly insane.
Im not a big fan of warcraft 3, but the way you narrate your videos in general, makes them really enjoyable
"That it is in fact possible to beat Warcraft 3, and the Frozen Throne, on Hard, without losing a unit."
Four treants: a
9:44 this reminds me of what happens in dawn of war, the sisters of battle stronghold specifically
In the mission, the enemy periodically sends crusades, giant armies, to destroy your base
But only your starting base, if you make a new one anywhere else, they‘ll just stand there once they destroy all your buildings, and if you don‘t kill all the units from the crusade a new one will never spawn( i have no idea if the new one would find your new base or not as i just left them to vibe in the corner)
Great series of WC3, Grant!
I am glad we made this day!
Thanks for the video!
My jaw DROPPED as you explained the final exploit. Well fucking done my man. Well done.
I don't care much for warcraft but that doesn't stop me from enjoying your channel, videos or challenges
What a perfect timing, just cooked my lunch and then this upload :)
Only in Reforged is it possible, because features made there like stacking items and bring items in the next campaign.
What a great day today. Never thought it was possible but good one for you.
I wonder if you played Relic's RTS like Dawn of War or Company of Heroes? I'd like to see deathless run of it!
Hmm. Dawn of War might actually be a possible one. Sounds like a good idea... Pretty please?!?
the question would be do individual unit menmbers count? or just if the entire unit is destroyed?
but yeah seeing GGG play DoW would be interesting ^^
Dawn of War has very inaccurate and unresponsive controls though. It's a great game, but not really good for micro control.
Won't work. Units are dying only when leader dies, those games don't care about separate soldiers. So there would be no way to track who died. Unless you fully abandon using infantry... which might work in case of CnC. For DoW, DoWII campaign might work too. CoH is too infantry focused so it won't work.
For Dawn of War 2 deathless, would be great
I never knew there was a dmg trigger on the final undead map
Most people probably didn't, since it wasn't working, lol
You can watch Abelhawk's Warcraft 3 Easter Egg videos.
I have noticed it while cheating ahead. And see what it happens.
Well, that was really fast. Faster than I thought.
Me: 2 AM and about to sleep
GGG: I'm about to end this man's sleep schedule.
im the opposite, i find grants voice relaxing and often accidentally fall asleep to his videos haha
what about the rpg orc campain it might be a free win but there are some moments where you are supposed to use units and you also have a lot of summons in this
Yeah, I was hoping he'd mention the Rexxar campaign. That last bit where you're assaulting Theramore would be challenging due to the saving allies rule.
You can farm tome in crazy amount and kill proudmoore in 3 hit
Goblin sappers.
Wait, Anub'arak's Carrion Beetles are summons with no timed duration, but Grant never uses them. I guess they were just too squishy to bother?
When playing I actually never realized that Arthas leveled down and that was one of the reasons that the later levels were so difficult.
Well done, Grant! I only saw some of the VODs like the ones where you used the siege engines to defeat Detheroc.
I would be great to see the VODs of Warcraft 2 and 3 on your second channel one day.
Anyway, keep up the good work!
13:46 "Hell yea. Siege tanks!" - Arthas maybe
OK, that was great! You are geniuos!
I haven't played Reforged, and I haven't played WC3 for years, so maybe I'm wrong about things I'm going to say:
1. The Forgotten One was crap when I played, I don't think it's Reforged's mistake.
2. You could use Sylvanas Charm pretty much at the begining of Dark Lady, so you could charm ogres and bandits after 5 minutes
3. You can destroy entire Blood Efl base in Return to Northrend only using Sapphiron, but it'll take an hour or so.
Also, I want to thank you for hours of fun videos and for teaching us all those crazy strategies!
P.S. If you are ever so bored, you can do deathless in original WC3 =D
Thanks for the video. Happy to hear you didn't have to fight the Naga again.
No way a banshees possess counts as a death! Same soul inhabiting a new body. Well done none the less
