I love my m&p got it like a month ago these are solid rifles meant to last
Indeed they are!
I'm going to pick up mine tomorrow, can't wait!
The sport II was my first AR rifle. I purchased it because it’s similar to the m4 I use in the national guard. Good budget Ar style rifle.
I love the M4. I use it nearly everyday. That’s why I love AR styled rifles. Appreciate you for your time in! This we’ll defend.
@@Zubes240 should I get that M&P sport 2
I highly recommend it! :)
@@Zubes240 I will go get it on Tuesday . Cali rules tho haha
😂 Calis got some serious restrictions but hey, it’s worth it. Have fun! Glad I could help
I bought mine with my stimulus check. Money well spent!
Indubitably!
Good job
Cheap doesn't always mean junk. Had mine for several years now and shot over 3000 rnds through it. Bought mine for $500 new. Today prices are $900 to $1100.
My friend just paid 500 and I got one for 600
@@GriffsFish that's awesome. I know he will love it
@@GriffsFishwhere did you happen to get it from?
My first was a used m@p that I bought at a pawn shop for 600. The rifle came from California, so it had that fun little safety mag release button where you needed a pin to make it eject the mag... I had that California button ripped out and replaced with a normal one
Good video! S&W's are really good for the price point! And I agree with you that every home should have at least 1 of these things handy! There are a ton of stuff out there at various price points that would make the S&W even better. No need to spend a truckload of cash to get decent equipment. Just doing a little research can yield good kit for just a fraction of the more premium stuff.
Love how the smoke came out on of it!
Great video, thanks
Glad you liked it!
you prefer magwell grip? I like c-clamp
Would this be a edc for u guys?
Love mine but you wouldn’t recognize it now…. Happy s&w dropped the giant MP15 logo on the lower….. and of course gun fever took over and I went Magpul crazy. have changed every piece of furniture possible. FDE grip, FDE stock, FDE front grip, FDE foregrip, FDE war hammer charging handle….. still rocking the iron sights…. I’m still doing homework on which optic will suit me best because the great ones are as expensive or MORE expensive than the rifle. Next change will be replacing buffer spring, stock trigger, and stock bolt…..
Hell yeah, dude! Whatever makes the rifle comfortable and better suited to your desires and needs, go for it! Best of luck to you!
This rifle is like a gateway drug. I bought mine a few yrs ago, now I've got a few other AR's. But unfortunately, i lost them all in a boating accident last month.
Fun fact, boating accidents are the number one cause of firearm loss. Sorry, this happened to you.
@@Zubes240 I appreciate your sympathy😉
Is that a plastic front sight on the gas block? If so it will melt with lots of shooting. The mbus pro is all metal, that's what I put on
I was thinking about swapping for that exact reason but ended up swapping the entire gas block and rail. So I am back to the drawing board for iron sights.
@@Zubes240 I use the mbus pro on mine. VISM has an extended mlok handguard that has a cutout for A2 sight that also works for the railed gas block. I love it.
I will keep an eye. Appreciate the recommendation!
Great video!!
1 question: any particular reason you don’t leave the front site up?
It interferes with the red dot
Not sure how, I zero my irons then adjust my dot to sit on top of the fsp like a lollipop. I just keep my rsp lowered that way if/when the dot fails I still have the front site.
Hi. Newbie question here. I see at 2:28 you pointed the camera down the "red dot" scope. Question, I don't understand how red dots work. Does it simply work like an imaginary laser pointer and the bullet will go where you see the red dot touching? Or, do you still have to like the red dot up with the front sight, meaning the red dot works as a replacement rear sight? Yes being serious, I've never experienced this.
I can’t necessarily give you the scientific answer, but the reflex sight (red dot) will replace the iron sight or work side by side (your choice). But the red dot is projected onto a mirror and then into the glass. Allowing a bigger sight picture and more benefits that I can’t name off the top of my head. :) I hope I helped a little bit.
The Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport 2 is a phenomenal rifle, well-built, accurate and dependable, for a lot less money than other rifles performing the same or similarly, but selling at higher prices because of brand name recognition, which gun snobs with money to blow prefer.
My S&W M&P 15 can do everything other AR-15 rifles can do for home defense, personal protection and security; it is highly accurate at 100 meters. Why to pay more? The only thing is, mine came with a 1:9 twist rate, and I prefer 1:8, but, still the rifle performs well and delivers for its intended purposes.
Indeed it is a phenomenal rifle!
@@chrisflynn6036 contrary to popular belief, it won't make a great deal of difference, but the 1:8 twist rate is preferred, not that the 1:9 is "bad," or 1:7 is "best."
I love that rifle
MAGNIFICO VIDEO MUCHAS GRACIAS POR SU EXPOSICION PERO ME GUSTARIA SABER NONDE PUEDO CONSEGUIR LAS MIRAS QUE USTED MUESTRA. SALUDOS.
Nice video. With all the upgrades did you consider the trigger?
Thank you! I am still looking for decent trigger groups. Any suggestions?
i use stock trigger. Nice review.
@briancaine9130 nice!
What is the overall length with the stock collapsed ?
32.75"
Hey Zubes, quick question, you mention the Magpul Bus sights can be bought for $15 but I can’t find them anywhere near that. Where can I buy them for cheap that you know of?
I just did some digging and realized that I made the mistake of not letting you guys know that I purchased mine at a PX for a cheaper price. I found some going for 25$ on brownells however
@@Zubes240 cool, $25 beats everyone else, I’ll get them from Brownell’s.
@@videogazer801 if you have a decent optic, chances are you won't have to deploy your buis. It makes sense to not really spend on something you are not likely to use a lot. Savings can go to buying more kit or even more ammo.
@@michaelarcangel3694 I will go with the Sig Sauer Romeo5
@@videogazer801 cool choice! Happy training!👍🏼
Is that a metal front sight or is it polymer?
If polymer, doe it get really hot, as in can melt if hot enough?
It’s polymer. And it’s never gotten so hot it’ll melt off. And I’ve shot that rifle as fast as I can with 60 rounds and the iron sights never lost zero.
@@Zubes240 damn, you replied back faster than rigor mortis…. Are you doing another video on this rifle later or nah?
I just added a pretty cool thing to it! I plan on doing another video with it! And yeah I try to respond quickly.
I JUST BOUGHT MINE TODAY
Heck yeah!
I just baught this as my first AR. $800 but without any optic or ironsights, Im looking for good budget modifications for this rifle
I don’t know your financial situation but if you can afford a budget optic I’d get one. Don’t buy Amazon optics. Like $30 optics are garbage and lose zero. If you can’t afford a decent name-brand optic I would get a nice set of iron sights. But most of all I would say. Get accessories that make you shoot better and make you comfortable. There are tac lights, fore grips, compensators, muzzle brakes, flash hiders, hybrid muzzle devices, stocks, pistol grips, lighter bolt assemblies, upgraded buffer springs, upgraded trigger control groups, better lowers, better uppers, better rail systems (rails with Picatinny, weaver, dovetail, Mlok, etc.), optics for different ranges and applications, tighter twist rate barrels, two-point slings, one point slings, three-point slings and MANY MANY more. The AR-styled rifle has MANY things you can swap out to improve your shooting, but most importantly training is your best friend. You can have a nice, expensive, and decked-out AR, but if you don’t know how to shoot or reload effectively there’s no point. Shooting is a skill that dwindles without routine training. I hoped this helps. Apologies for the long response. Thanks for watching and commenting! Have a fantastic day!
Prices of all accessories are equal the gun price. I think this gun is as good as $1,500 AR.
I’ve spent quite a bit of time and money on this rifle indeed
I'm not trying to talk shit here, however I noticed you hold the rifle with your hand on the mag well when firing. This technique was popularized by special forces personal in the early 2000's. I've done it myself when I was very new to the AR15 but over time I learned it's not that great of a technique. I know S&W don't put heat shields in the handguards so they can get warm quickly. I realize you're not asking for my advice, but magpul makes a handguard with a heat shield and it's far better than the standard furniture. ✌️
Yeah, normally I use the c-clamp method but the mag well was comfortable at the moment. Thanks for the comment!
@@Zubes240 👍
I learned magwell style in USMC. Things evolve. But if he can aim true like this, bad guy won't care how he's holding it. Shooter's preference.
As long as you are comfortable and confident with how you hold the rifle as you said, the enemy won’t care how I am holding the rifle.
My rifle gets hot really quick after 40 rounds shot it gets super hot if a rapid fire it
My first and only ar so far wish I could buy more hate my state lol
😍😍😍😍😍😊😊😊😊😘love it
Where im at i cant find one lower than $750
Dang bro. You should try Big daddy unlimited. I picked up quite a bit of parts off their website! Happy hunting.
You should add a flashlight on the bottom
That hand movement at 3:50 is very sus....
Indubitably…
I want that rifle
Why buy the M&P and swap out all the parts? Why not just buy a better rifle with the parts you want?
Should move that red dot up to the very front of the upper receiver.
Jealous over here in Massachusetts.
Yeah state laws are kind of stupid nowadays.
Don’t be jealous, if you’re broke, save up slowly and buy one for yourself.
Ok you sold me on the buffer spring. Geez that is annoying.
3:50 ayooo
😉
Could buy a second rifle with the prices you payed for your upgrades.
I could of. But I like working on one and then moving on! Take it easy!
This is pretty much the Honda Civic of AR
Kinda lol
jealous your country allow to own real firearm, my country own airsoft need 7 year jail. lmfao
Dang man that sounds miserable. Airsoft is fun though
What country?!
So you say it's a good rife but you changed just about everything. I dot get it
It is a good rifle. But you can make improvements to any weapon system. If you have the time and resources to improve your weapon system then go for it!
He did it just to customize…. Doesn’t mean factory parts are low-performing.
@@chrisflynn6036 lol.
They are actually more like $750 plus tax now, thanks to inflation.
@@chrisflynn6036 you’ll be one happy kid at Christmas!
@@videogazer801 @Chris Flynn PSA has them for $550 w/magpul handguard right now
Daniel defense is way better😂
Ok…
Maybe....... but 3x the price?
Who taught you to hold a rifle that way kid? Fix your left hand.
The Army did
You know nothing about an AR-15 you have no business owner one
You are just jealous, libtard. 😂
You have no business posting comments if you can’t spell.
Sorry, not listening to a review by a little boy. I have way more experience, so no thanks..just wasting everyone’s time with this video
What? Little boy? Alright then, well you take it easy sir. Apologies that my career isn’t enough to satisfy your experienced knowledge.
How about a little support for young guys supporting the right to bear arms!
@@Zubes240 keep it up man
I appreciate it!
@@Jesusbcappin that’s not what is happening here. We all support that without posting a UA-cam video because we are normal. This guy is an overinflated ego that should stfu and just go to the range and train
Where can we find hand guard replacements for this exact rifle? Good video
Magpul
You can install a low profile gas block and put free float rails on it!
Amazon & E Bay
I got my replacement from palmetto state armory. They are rather inexpensive tbh
Lmao I wouldn’t recommend
check the height of the gas block. it might be shorter than the picatinny rail on the receiver makings ur front buis not the right height
