Is the “Thumb Assist” worth having anymore? No other Riffle, Shotgun or hand gun has a thumb assist. Shove or force Cartridges into the breech just to get stuck from forcing in the cartridge. I don’t know but I don’t think it’s a good practice to force assist any cartridge into a breach… It either works or it doesn’t, I understand how this came about from the Vietnam era M-16 jamming and getting fouled up. Then someone got the bright idea let’s just ram the cartridge into the breach so you can force a shot off just to jam up the gun and a stuck cartridge in the breech. It seems like the guns that don’t have the thumb assists figured it out. the tolerances aren’t too tight and the rounds cycle without issues. It seems like if the gun has a thumb assist then you’re going to have tight tolerances and feeding issues. Any comments on this??

Cool. Pull back on the charging handle then it will come out. The charging handle is the thing behind the sights and above the stock. Looks kind of like a T. Put one finger on each side and pull back.

Hey Micole You can adjust the red dot to sight it in. the knobs on the red dot sight twist off. Then you can adjust up/down left/right to sight it in. Maybe we can do a video on how to sight in your rifle soon.
Any compatible magnifiers for this red dot? I have one and I love it put drop-in rails new pistol grip and an ambidextrous charging handle. Just want a 3x magnifier that is compatible. Thanks.
Eh sorry if you already figured it out but it comes with a Crimson Trace CTS-103. Not much info out there since this is literally the only gun it comes on.
They have to be steel iron sights since its a railed gas block. The polymer Magpul front sight will melt. Otherwise you'll have to replace the gas block which at that point you should just buy the base model Sport II with A2 sight/block
Owner of this firearm here - Since this version doesn't come with iron sights it only comes with the sling attachment on the butt stock of the firearm. Any QD sling attachment will connect on the underside of the barrel where the small bit of rail is
Is the dot blurry out of the box? I held one in store and the red dot optic sight seemed blurry and I thought it was defective so I didn't purchase the gun. The dealer kept saying that they all come like this? Is that true? Have you. Noticed that the red/green dot is not a full 360 circle and is somewhat blurry as if it's out of focus?
@@sprintbulls Next time try looking through your phones camera or so, it will eliminate any blurriness you might see with an astigmatism and give you a better idea of what the red dot looks like. Owning this myself I can say the red dot is just fine but my astigmatism makes it noticeably worse without a fresh pair of corrective lens on.
OR version has no sight, as far as i know the standard version with front sight is clamped on the barrel and part of the gas block so it takes a new barrel if you remove the sight. Not 100% but looked into it a while back and thats what I believed was needed.
I was looking on Amazon and I found a foldable front iron sight that I think will attach to that small rail in front. The gas block sits right there so you want a metal sight, not acrylic or plastic, cause it can get hot and might deform an acrylic sight. It comes with a companion foldable rear sight as well...about $30. Has anyone removed the stock hand guard? I’ve tried couple times and it doesn’t want to come off. I just got the hand guard removal tool but still can’t get it to come off. Any suggestions?
I installed the Magpul carbine m Lok cover. Just pull the ring down. The spring is stuff as hell. Take off one side at a time, install one side at a time

Merksick Any QD sling mount will work. You only need the round piece with the swivel. You plug that into the hole under the gas block.

I put some UTG iron sights on mine. Works great.
The front gas block sight rail is raised higher than the main rail, waiting for my sights to arrive to see how it works. (Optics Ready Version)
