Marlowe? It wasn't exactly a period piece. It was set in the then-present day but James Garner's Philip Marlowe was a man out of his own time.
I think he’s referring to the 2023 movie Marlowe with Liam Neeson as Chandler’s famed detective. That was a period piece adaptation. 🥂
