Man, I have a new found respect for the guy. I never knew that his character was so profound and deep. I thought he was just a generic “me strong, me like bloodshed” daedra, but he’s got heart. He’s the most human of them all. A champion wronged, a warrior who always accepts his failures and tries to do better for his people instilling within them a sense of hope. I might just be inclined to play an orc build later on down the line (a beautiful female one of course).
Sovjetikos Oh that’s an easy fix. :) You won’t get a quest but~ > hit the ~ key on PC >click on Boethia’s statue >disable and hit the enter button Lol bye~
Skyrim has amazing lore, but when it comes to options it lacks a lot of content. Imagine if you play as an orc, and after helping out all strongholds Malacath choses you as his/her champion, gives you a special artifact and sends you along other orcs to fight against Boethia's cultists, and when you win he makes you "King/Queen" of the orcs in skyrim, then some badass stronghold is revealed, like the one in the AdalMaltar mod, and you get that as a player home as well as a place to get some side quests. So much lost potencial.
Malacath is actually my favorite god in Skyrim in general. Mainly bc I love Orcsbut he's story is a shock and how he acts just makes him the bigger man then any other Dreadric prince could ever achieve. His love for his children and the way he tells them to follow through different situations just makes him the father figure.
August Valentine Malacath is the remnant of Trenimac after Boethia ate and crapped him out. Essentially, Trenimac got eaten, then Malacath was made from Boethia’s shit.
That story about the orc murderer was so sad, didnt help that your delivery was on point. Definitely made me respect Malacath even more :), thanks for the video
That's why he's one of my favorite Daedric princes if not my favorite he takes accountability for his actions and what's his his kind to do that and not just that all people he's probably the best of the Daedra
Soundwave Sheogorath would kill his trick and deceive his own followers if it meant they amused him though. I’m sure he cares for them, but he also enjoys fucking with them.
lol azura is evil and her realm of dreams is filled with the souls of mortals who are collected by her followers ! Malacath and Meridia are the only two good Daedric princes !
I never did like the Daedra; however, Malacath became one of the few exceptions once I learned his story. To me, he's still part Aedra. Knowing what happened to his son makes me hate the other unworthy Daedric princes even more. Especially Sheogorath. It was a mistake for the other princes to not have either sealed Sheogorath away or stolen his power when he was still Jyggalag.
I lean towards he wasn’t literally eaten. I think eaten as in “consumed.” I imagine Trinimac was enveloped in Boethia’s power, almost like a Daedric egg of black energy. When the shell fell away a slimy muck covered Malacath was revealed. Mortals would interpret this as being consumed and shat out as a gross turd. That’s just me though.
JustinNathy idk, it could totally be either way. Given the weird fluff that is in Morrowind I wouldn’t be surprised if it was actually literal. Tbh I think it would kind of be neat as most constructed stories try to stir away from perseived obscenities like that, but in irl myth like that in ancient Egypt with set eating seamen covered lettuce, it is not all that uncommon. Of course these could also be metaphysical beings and consumption and excrement are just analogs for the god being absorbed and expelled.
Jackson Almodobar yeah the metaphysical bit is why I lean away from it being literal. But Trin literally being eaten and shat out is just as neat to imagine... and I’d be fine if either were the case 👍🏼 Hell, maybe “eaten” was the only mortal word that could describe the process Malacath endured?
nah, this is totally the type of shit that used to happen in old religions. i think its cool how it is, dont see why everyone wants to try and justify it as something else.

The only decent way for this to be done is when the game is set in both High Rock and Hammerfell, and since Orsinium is actually just northeast of High Rock, you could probably explore as DLC or whatever.
Here’s one I’ve been waiting to hear about for a while now! The Fallen Trinimac, the Corrupt Malacath, the God of the Ostracized and the Spurned. Thank you for your effort and time, guys! As usual, excellent work. Immersive and in-depth. Also, Drew, you should start giving classes about the Daedra or something, you’d have a bunch of core followers right away. Thank you for today’s episode!
I've learned more about how to live a virtuous and noble lifestyle from Elder Scrolls than my parents ever taught me. The closing piece here was simply beautiful.
Perhaps the Daedra themselves have a hand in keeping the Orcs an oppressed and hunted by other people's in Mundus. They fear what a large and fanatical horde of Orcs would do to them.
After this video I kind of respect Malacath. While you could argue that some elements of his code are cruel and vicious, he himself abides by his own code too. He is not asking you to do something he himself wouldn't. I can respect a ruler who is not above his own laws.
Malacath, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good Mer or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. No, all that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Malacath... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to OBLIVION with you!
Sudden great respect for the world building surrounding the religions of Tamriel. I always thought of the Aedra and Daedra as a bit petty and simple, but watching these videos I see there is much more to be gleamed from there. That said, looking at Malakath, arguably the most tribal and (presented as such) simple deities as having so much more depth, it does indeed inspire a great deal of respect for the creative minds at work on him. And much appreciation to you, Drew and the rest of Fudgemuppet for helping me see that! :)

Malacath is the only Prince worthy of worship imo. He is somewhat merciful and definitely benevolent as a parental figure. And on a different note, I think that Trinimac as Malacath co-exist as different aspects of the same god and I think this is apparent because of how malacath behaves and his tenants which show his values which are distinctly aedric. If I recall from ESO, Trinimac’s influence is still tangible and he is still worshipped by all Mer as a minor god(except for most Dark Elves and Orcs).
The_Drop Bear The orcs of Orsinium would seem to disagree. I think Trinimac is less powerful and influential than he was bc he receives less worship than the other Elven and Alessian gods.
Azura: Claims to be the patron goddess of the Dunmer, curses them and dooms Morrowind by siccing Nerevarine on the Tribunal and inadvertently releasing Baar Dau Malakath: Daedric Prince of orcs, asks you to actually help orcs
I always love roleplaying a holy orc build following trinimac. Sort of a 2 handed holy warrior. With a full white topnot and tied beard. Sort of gives the "old warrior" like the "Vivecs Faithful" build on this channel from years ago. It feel cooler than Malacath for me because Trinimac is a sort of almost divine character in relation to how he was following Auriel in ancient lore of elder scrolls. It gives me the roleplaying power to allow my orc to get old without thinking he has to die because he has white or gray in his hair. Wintersun is awsome because it gives you the ability to do this. I love wearing the bonemold armor with the Variations mod retexture where the scarfs and cloth is red instead of white. The whit looks great though as well. Or even the variations dark blueish glass armor looks great and still intimidating.
If you look at Malacath and Trinimac as one entity, transformed, then he's almost a Daedric Prince of Loyalty, with an emphasis on a sort of nationalism or clan-mindedness. Also Justice, through the lens of his brand of nationalism. Trinimac held certain loyalties and preached them. He believed in a kind of justice. Once spurned however, his loyalties and sense of justice changed. Still as strong, but from a new perspective: the Spurned.

Word is the orcs are developing a new combat technique that involves stabbing a sharp object up an enemy's urinary tract. It's called the Malacatheter.
Two of my favorite dadric Prince's are Hircine and Malakath. Mostly because both seem very straight forward and at least try and follow some form of rules.

Such a great daedric prince. I love him When I first saw his shrine on the Skyrim loading screen i figured he was a brute lord of brute people. I eventually found out how wrong I was about both.
For some reason, I'm reminded of the time I cast a spell to take down a deer. It died with a huge ice spike up its rear. There is no pride in a death like that.
dear FudgeMuppet. could you perhaps one day make a video explaining how would the Daggerfall game would be like if it was remade by Bethesda in the Far future?. please!!
I wonder why people talk about Azura being the main example of a "good" Daedric Prince. The entire argument comes with the caveat that she's just unlikely to harm mortals since she's more focused on destroying the undead when Malacath is right there. He was an Aedra before he was warped by Boethiah, after all. He promotes unity within one's clan, brought the Orcs a path when they had none, and believes in enduring and growing from mistakes and failures, taking responsibility for his failures and being saddened by his loss. Behind all of the violence that he and the Orsimer promote is perhaps the most stable civilization and a fatherly god to rule them. After all, you don't see the Orcs causing any civil wars or opening portals to Oblivion, do you?
My two favorite princes are easy Malacath and Hircine, simply because for Immortal godbeings, they know both humanity and humility. They adhere to honor-bound edicts, yet are cruel and brutal. Hircine is a hunter, but not a mindless killing monster. He hunts because it is the way of nature, and he is a hunter who treats life as a prize to win, and victory is Unbreakable. Malacath is probably the most scorned being in the Elder Scrolls universe, going from the proud Knight of Auri-El, who ripped Shor's heart from his godly chest, to an ugly, cursed pig-man of sickly green-black skin, brows topped with impish horns and mouth morphed to bear boarish tusks, and yet he holds true to a knight's Honor, in a sense. He teaches his children to kill, but not without due diligence, and treats his followers as his children, especially orcs. Probably the most engaged Prince with his followers out of the lot.
Did you notice before that model for Malacath statue and model of Mehrun Dagon are almost identical, with Mehrun having extra arms. The head models are very similar. Here's some deadra mystery.
After binge playing orsinium during the last ESO plus free trial it's been driving me crazy trying to figure out how in the freakin hell anyone could convince themselves that trinamac didn't actually become malacath. It made me laugh so hard when you said "mental gymnastics" about that whole situation. Lol thank you such a wonderful video. Especially after that. Cause orsinium really opened my eyes to how tryly awesome malacath and the orcs are. I'm ashamed that I've never really given them more then a passing glance all these years.
Honestly I’d commission an art piece of the imperial sewers, if they painted it right it’d be a captivating piece capturing the horrible filth required by civilized magnificence.

@@Im-Not-a-Dog Scratch that! Cheese for no one! The cheese'd taste like daedra poo! And we can't have that now can we eh?!

I wish there was a mod to have a quest to destroy Boethia's stupid shrine in Skyrim. :]
Sovjetikos Oh that’s an easy fix. :) You won’t get a quest but~

@@AmazOrgadak Lollll, that's a good one! ^^
Well, at least you can break and sacrifice her stupid priest to Molag Bal
Malacath is actually my favorite god in Skyrim in general. Mainly bc I love Orcsbut he's story is a shock and how he acts just makes him the bigger man then any other Dreadric prince could ever achieve. His love for his children and the way he tells them to follow through different situations just makes him the father figure.
Malacath has always been my favorite Daedric Prince, despite the fact that I’m not exactly a big fan of orcs. He’s just so bad ass.
Tw1 Trenimac got eaten, not Malacath. So there’s that...
And the fact that Vvardenfell was practically destroyed by a ball of his shit(Baar Dau).
No he’s not💀
Not a Dog you know trinimac is believed to be malacath, right?
August Valentine Malacath is the remnant of Trenimac after Boethia ate and crapped him out. Essentially, Trenimac got eaten, then Malacath was made from Boethia’s shit.
@Tw1 Trinimac was the most powerful Aedra. And the history of be eaten is just a myth/chimer propaganda. Everybody knows!
My favorite daedric quest in Oblivion was definitely the Malacath quest. Any time I get to take down a slaver is a good time
Cullen Strand after that quest I used the console to erase both of the slavers
I, too, am shamed and corrupted lol FudgeMuppet is the only cure
Anyone else shed a tear right towards the end?
This is why Malacath is one of my most favorite Daedric princes.
And now Malacath is my second-favorite Daedric prince, after Hircine. Hopefully my support doesn’t wind up making Malacath weaker somehow...
Nah would probably make him a stronger defender in a way
That story about the orc murderer was so sad, didnt help that your delivery was on point. Definitely made me respect Malacath even more :), thanks for the video
That's why he's one of my favorite Daedric princes if not my favorite he takes accountability for his actions and what's his his kind to do that and not just that all people he's probably the best of the Daedra
Malacath is the great father and Azura the great mother, the two Gods who truly have compassion and love for mortals
Malacath is only the god of outcasts... who are orcs... Bad for you if you are a dunmer outcast XD
@@sgshaday malacath accepts those who aren't orcs. a dunmer is just as welcome as an orc.

It was a mistake for the other princes to not have either sealed Sheogorath away or stolen his power when he was still Jyggalag.
blksmagma they couldn’t he was op he had to be nerfed
I think Jygg was a pretty chill guy
Bode Wins Games I also think he was but the total control over everything turned me away😂😂

Bode Wins Games not necessarily Molag bals sphere is the act of domination not the state after that ; perfect order
I lean towards he wasn’t literally eaten. I think eaten as in “consumed.”
I imagine Trinimac was enveloped in Boethia’s power, almost like a Daedric egg of black energy.
But Trin literally being eaten and shat out is just as neat to imagine... and I’d be fine if either were the case 👍🏼
Hell, maybe “eaten” was the only mortal word that could describe the process Malacath endured?
nah, this is totally the type of shit that used to happen in old religions. i think its cool how it is, dont see why everyone wants to try and justify it as something else.
@@piperbarlow1672 like I said 3 years ago, I’d be okay with either interpretation. I’m not married to either idea.

Depending on where the next elder scrolls takes place in I would love to see more done with orcs. Like playing as an orc maybe we could become part of an orcish tribe or maybe overthrow an unworthy chief and take his place. Though I would say I’ve got a bias since I love the orcs
It would be nice to have more orc related quests, so we can have a better understanding of them.
The only decent way for this to be done is when the game is set in both High Rock and Hammerfell, and since Orsinium is actually just northeast of High Rock, you could probably explore as DLC or whatever.
One of those dudes you cannot help but feel immensely sorry for, his life a master class in getting screwed.
I have a whole view of and love for Malacath. Always loved the orcs but never looked into who Malacath was. Great vid.
I've learned more about how to live a virtuous and noble lifestyle from Elder Scrolls than my parents ever taught me. The closing piece here was simply beautiful.
I've noticed an oversight of Malacath's Ashpit here, there is supposedly a kind of small oasis within the Ashpit which likely represents Trinimac.
Perhaps the Daedra themselves have a hand in keeping the Orcs an oppressed and hunted by other people's in Mundus.
They fear what a large and fanatical horde of Orcs would do to them.
Malacath's story breaks my heart every time I hear it, man.
After this video I kind of respect Malacath. While you could argue that some elements of his code are cruel and vicious, he himself abides by his own code too. He is not asking you to do something he himself wouldn't. I can respect a ruler who is not above his own laws.
Honestly one of my favorite moments in any Elder Scrolls game was when Malacath asks you to go free some ogres that were taken as slaves...
I haven’t even watched it but I know this is a great vid!!! Daedric fudgmuppet vids ARE THE BEST!!!!!
I always liked the cursed tribe quest, now I know why. Awesome video. Thank you
I can't help but imagine a cruel corrupt dark evil smile on Boethiah's face As she approaches the downed trinimac.... Before defiling him into a daedric being that has no hold over mundus......
Can we talk about how the dragon born is as strong as clavicus vile at half his power? I believe that's insane
clavicus and peryite are the weakest under the princes, but yeah, being as powerful as half a daedric lord is pretty crazy.
@@ichbinjasokreativ2452 You could argue TLD isn't quite that strong and he only survived because Akatosh/Talos/ The divines were protecting him so he can fulfill the prophecy
In my Orc playthrough I've sworn myself to Malacanth 😄
Malacath was awesome in lord of souls too. Really got some more insight into him and the daedra in general reading that book
They don't coexist.
The_Drop Bear The orcs of Orsinium would seem to disagree. I think Trinimac is less powerful and influential than he was bc he receives less worship than the other Elven and Alessian gods.

I changed my mind about Malacath with this video.
Azura: Claims to be the patron goddess of the Dunmer, curses them and dooms Morrowind by siccing Nerevarine on the Tribunal and inadvertently releasing Baar Dau
Malakath: Daedric Prince of orcs, asks you to actually help orcs
I think that was one of the best videos you've ever done. Well written and deeply moving. Keep up the good work.
Damn. I can't help but feel bad for Malacath. Looks like I'm doing another Skyrim daedric quest.
Lol you fellas are miracle workers for an insomniac like me, lemme tell ya.
I always suspected Malacath was "number two" among the Daedric Princes.
Then who is number one?
Nathan H. We are number 1
@@nathanh.9767 probably azura, the only other prince who cares for mortals even more than malacath

I'm really enjoying this series! Malacath might just be my favorite prince!

Such a great daedric prince. I love him
When I first saw his shrine on the Skyrim loading screen i figured he was a brute lord of brute people. I eventually found out how wrong I was about both.
He fought through the belly of the beast when challenged to daedric combat.
For some reason, I'm reminded of the time I cast a spell to take down a deer. It died with a huge ice spike up its rear. There is no pride in a death like that.
Malacath, my third favorite daedric prince. Tied for first is Jyggilag and Sheogorath. Why did this make me cry?
Every night I get a treat before bed, a fudgemuppet video!
I did Molag Bal's quest just to beat down Boethiah's faithful.

Is it weird that I wouldn't mind being in Malacath's ash pit?
Trust me, you would mind.
Well I mean, as a chief there? I dunno, that doesn't sound half bad.
I dont think its litteral shit
Neither would I, seems fun. Like chilling with your dad.
I mean, 1,000 wives could be pretty nice. But also has to potential to be hell though.
Malacath is that one dad who pushes his son to be better than him
I wonder why people talk about Azura being the main example of a "good" Daedric Prince.
And so my binge watching has made it to Malacath, the most honorable and just of the Deadric Lords. Cool, cool.
7:57 Nords mistrust even their own people lol
They might not all get along, but they usually play with an open hand.
I don't liked the orcs before, but after playing eso and learn more and more about them and now they are my favourite race!!

There's something comforting in knowing there is a god who will be with you on your quest of brutally righting a horrible wrong.
I’ve known about the whole “Boethiah vs Trinimac = Malacath” thing for a while but I didnt know about this..
The books do a great job of showing malacaths character as a beautiful maiden in desolate prison of ash with elven dreams in the distance
Did you notice before that model for Malacath statue and model of Mehrun Dagon are almost identical, with Mehrun having extra arms. The head models are very similar.
Here's some deadra mystery.
You go so in depth its winderful
Could it be that the fate of Trinimac, his humiliation, was retribution for what he did to Lorkhan?
Malacath is and always will be my favorite daedric prince, Orcs are also my favorite race as well
As a greenskin enjoyer, Malacath is pretty tough and demands fair, almost beast like tradition from his children. Pretty og
