What is the probability that Madness Ore is molecularly similar to Soul Gem? In the case of a moral dying on Nirn, their souls might still make their way to Etherius, or Sovengaard. But when a moral is killed on an Oblivion plane... What happens? Is it possible that mortals who expire in the realm of Sheogorath are somehow trapped by the Shivering Isles themselves? And if so... Ooooh... This gets good. I just thought of this. If the ISLES trap their souls in Madness Ore in the same way soul gems trap souls normally, it stands to reason that their souls would occupy a bland, colorless pocket realm similar to the Soul Cairn. Freed of the limitations of the physical brain and the frailty of a moral mind, a soul should be then COMPLETELY LOGICAL and devoid of the effects of madness. And, in eventuality, these BLAND, COLORLESS, LOGICAL, ORDERED, souls would overflow from the Madness Ore into the realm (and by extension, the psyche) of Sheogorath! In this way, every once in awhile, Sheogorath is overwhelmed by the sanity of his moral visitors, transforming into Jygillag, destroying his realm, and releasing those captive souls back into Etherius (or wherever they would have normally gone) in order to restore the balance between Order and Madness. Ooooh... That's good. We should look for supporting evidence.

Over the eons they grew from a mixture of unknown materials to the chunky, edgy shape as we see today, just like how crystals in our world was formed. Perhaps their crystalline structures tune well with maddened spirits, and considering the fact that maddened minds are of no shortage in Shivering Isles, they were soaked like sponge in water, thus became the awesome madness ores. With that theory in mind, I've come up with yet another bold hypothesis, this time about Grummites. The author of the lore wonder how these amphibians developed intelligence to such extent that they can mine madness ores. It might just be the other way around! If someone touch a black soul gem, bits of its soul might leak into the gem. Likewise, a madness ore may yet be filled up, and when touched it might suck out the 'maddened part' of a soul, leaving place for the 'rational' potential to grow in it. And that's why the grummites are so attached to madness ore ----- it is the authentic god of wisdom to them. 收起

That is medically accurate. Arteries, unlike veins, connect directly to the heart, and thus, when severed, produce the distinctive ‘spurting’ of blood as the heart beats, rather than the steady ‘flowing’ wounds of severed veins. If you ever see the former, consider it a very bad sign- however, if it subsequently stops, that is a very, *very* bad sign, as it generally indicates that the heartbeat has stopped, which is basically the definition of “dead”. So there’s that... #TheMoreYouKnow Addendum: Though virtually all cases of ‘spurting’ blood indicate a severed artery, the inverse does *not* apply. Depending on the specific wound, a severed artery may or may not produce visible spurts. Further, the presence or lack therefore does not indicate the relative severity of the wound, eg a severed femoral artery, located deep in the upper leg, may not display this characteristic- however, untreated, it will almost certainly prove fatal within 60 seconds, give or take.
