    I HIGHLY recommend, swapping the poly bushing in the tension rods to stock style rubber ones. Poly ones are way too hard on a light vehicle like the 510, and there is a big history of BROKEN tension rods on 510s and 240zs, due to the inabillity of the poly bushings to flex. For your safety and others, swap those out. If you want an upgrade but dont want to stay stock, you can buy T3 adjustable units, or swap to a ball and socket design compression bushing thats available online.
    Please dont use stock tension rods with poly bushings. Everything else is fine, like poly lower control arms or swaybars.

    Love your videos. Love this build. I'd say it gives me motivation to work on my dime, but that's a me thing. I read on ratsun a few years back it's not a good idea to run poly bushings on the tc rods. If I had a link, id send it to you. But look it up.

      Thank you! That’s awesome to hear! I haven’t heard of anything about poly bushings one way or the other on 510s. I’ll do a follow up video once the car is on the road.

      @@BuildSeason if I recall correctly it was making the argument that the bushings are too stiff, and can crack the rods. Either way, good luck. I dig the dime.

    So, you like a 510 with leaf springs? LOL Made-in-Taiwan Bluebird (YL-706) sedans are all equipped this way. But almost all of them are badly rusted by now.

      @BuildSeason  16 днів тому

      Really? That’s interesting! Yeah I like the leaf springs because you can swap in a beefy rear axle and make power without worrying about it.

    The videos keep getting better! The poly bushing will be good a little stiff but good for what you are doing. Can get binding with poly bushing if you go really low. But you got the aluminum spacer up front that helps out with that.
