I've used a bunch of mousepads, but the best mousepad I've used is an Artisan mousepad. It just feels smooth and super precise. The price is worth if you want to find the "best" mousepad, but if you have better things to upgrade than it isn't. For example spending 100$ on a mousepad would not be as worth it than spending 100$ on a better mouse or even a better keyboard to improve overall gameplay.
I have an Artisan Ninja FX. Great mousepad but I wish there was an XXL size so the keyboard can go on it too.
The LGG Pro pads are extremely close in quality while not costing anywhere near $100 including shipping. Artisans aren't really worth it any longer.
@@JCC87 Ninja FX isn't the name of the pad model. You could be using a Hayate Osu, a Hien etc.
@@vaudou_ It's an FX Zero Soft. Which LGG is most similar in speed?
@@JCC87 The Saturn is basically a direct competitor
Yo can you give the final mouse! It’s literally expensive to get in Singapore! If you’re not using your Logitech g pro, I can mod it for you
Mouse pads are very important. The cheapest way to have a good mouse pad is to just determine if your *wooden* desk is smooth enough to use. Otherwise finding the best mouse pad for you whether that be the most control, fast, slow, or most accurate for the sensor is important. There are so many different textures of mouse pads that assuming your first mouse pad is perfect, may not be the best idea. Nice video.
I've been using Artisan mousepads after also just getting into Valorant (my first FPS game), and I have to say, the Zero and Hien have been very nice and durable. I find myself being more consistent on the Zero (soft variant) and managed to grind through to Immortal. Hope you get to try one from Artisan soon!
Other brands have caught up to the Artisan, I've been using Artisans for almost half a decade now and honestly, I really don't know why people would pick up one now when something like the LGG lineup exists. Apart from the Raiden and the Shidenkai, there's really no reason to get Artisans nowadays.
@@UTOOOOOOOY I think the appeal is for someone to test out a product from a company that was ahead of the game back then, and has received much praise because of the quality their craftsmanship. I was quite surprised the first time I received my Hien when compared to my HyperX Fury S. Also, I was not able to get hold of the LGG products 2 years back. Could maybe give one of them a try in the future to compare them to the pads I currently have.
Just got the Raiden xsoft and it is my endgame mousepad
Sad to see you didn't test any UA-camr pads, like Ltt or gamers nexus. Good to see a general side by side comparison of desk pads though.
As for pads personally I'm the outlier and am a hard pad user. Loved SteelSeries whole lineup (I2, SX, S&S, etc) back in the day. I now use a custom SkyPad XL 2.0. With my previous main being a custom C4 Ngen I made backed with a thick plate of stainless steel.
When it comes to hard pads smoother is slower because of the added friction due to the surface area.
The C4 Ngen is unique since it's woven Teflon making it slick but have texture. Back that with a hard piece of metal and you get a very unique experience!
I would recommend trying dpi changes on the slower pads to find an easy micro adjustment speed and a good speed. In a few games you can change how much the cursor moves depending how far you move the mouse. Just play around with some settings and find what works best for you. I have a really cheap mousepad and it still feels like really high quality movement.😊
This. You should get the mousepad that feels most comfortable, and adjust DPI to change speed.
I have 2x artisan pads (hien and zero). I recommend getting the zero xl Xtra soft. After breaking in the pad it feels really fast on the glide (faster than the hien) and very fast stopping speed. You should try one when u can order
Ah the QCK! The old faithful. Affordable and effective.
Hell ya can't go wrong with the OG
I just got an Odin eclipse and Lethal Gaming Gear Jupiter and I love them both. The Odin is a control pad but fast for flicks. The Jupiter is really really slow and I absolutely love it. Instantly improved my aim
Good choice bro! Odin mousepads absolutely SLAP
How are your mousepads doing now Betty? Sometimes they may change their feel and performance over time, especially those with a special coating. And consistency is something to be desired because it messes with your muscle memory. It can take at least a few weeks or even a month to wear in a mat, or even longer with infrequent use.
Want accuracy and speed? Cover the mouse area of your desktop in 3m 1080 m12 (matte black) vinyl, then get glass skates for your mouse. If you rest your wrist on the pad a lot, a Deltahub Carpio (with PTFE tape on the skates, because glass skates aren't available) is a good idea. Ideally, with proper ergonomics, you shouldn't need the carpio but... realistically, everyone needs a wrist rest, and a solid desktop with a 3 mil layer of vinyl will not protect your wrist like a soft pad does.
Don't use glass skates for work, though... You'll be moving documents and folders more often than opening them due to the increased sensitivity.
is there a way i can buy one of your keyboards?
Wait, but you sell mousepads (desk mats) in your merch store.
Hello, one advise from me after I have spent a lot of cash on mousepads and mice (and some keybords, help lol), if you find a mousepad you can always adjust the mouse cpi/dpi and lift-off distance etc and I have found that after I tuned my mouses almost any mouse pad is good, so I have stopped at some xxl glorius mousepad because it looks nice on my desk and I have a great control on it with almost all of my mices like gpx, v2pro, v3 deathadder, roccat kone air, roccat kain and many more. Very great videos and rew. keep it up with the good work. Cheers!
thank you!
Bought a Steelseries QcK nearly 16+ years ago, best mousepad I ever owned. Still using them. I‘ve about 3 of them nowdays, in different sizes for gaming, work. I tried others but for me personally, it‘a still the best and consistent. I tried others, but they didn‘t do it for me, most recently a logitech g240 from a colleague.
I have a Hayate Otsu XL soft and it's an awesome pad but I've recently tried a square xl size mouse pad (50cm x 50cm) and I think it's the perfect size for someone like me who likes to have their pad at the edge of their desk and their entire forearm on it without feeling the need to wear a sleeve when it is not very hot in their room.
I have an aqua control 2 sakura 50 x 50, really great mouse pad but the base is definitely not the best... (it moves and even after a few weeks of use I can't get it to stay completely flat).
My next purchase will be a LGG Saturn PRO XL Square (similar to an Artisan Zero Xsoft, maybe that's the one Pattycakes recommended to you ?) and if it's too slow for me I will buy a Venus PRO XL Square (similar an Hayate Otsu Xsoft).
Thing you gotta watch for when looking at pro players equipment is sponsorships, most of them are sponsored by logitech, whilst they do make great gear it may not always be the best choice for you & your setup
I've currently got a G502X and an X-Raypad Aqua Control +. The AQ+ is pretty reasonably priced, but the big sell for me was a hybrid pad ("fast with control") I could get with my custom artwork. I almost feel like the skates and the mousepad are more important than the mouse in consistent aim.
The wisdom I've always heard is overshooting means your dpi is too high. Something like being able to do at least one full 180 without lifting the mouse (whatever bounds are comfortable for you) is the sweet spot. The thickness/squish of the pad can also change how much "control" you have on a fast pad, it's why I think the Roccat might not have worked for you.
As an ascendant player. I personally use the Zowie GS-R because in my opinion it is the best mousepad for it's price being only 30usd. Artisan mousepads are better but they are kinda rare and really expensive so I think you should try the gsr.
Yo love your content alottt, do you mind making a video of your desk setup / go to setup? Like monitor you use, desk, gaming chair, monitor arm, mouse etc.
welcome to the mousepad rabbit hole. currently i rock a zowie gsr with a g pro superlight with superglide skates, pretty solid setup if you get passed the break in time of the glass mouse skates. currently in ascendant on the way back to immortal and would highly recommend the gsr or gsr se, been a staple control pad for as long as i can remember. good luck on your grind and figuring out what works!
I’d suggest Corepads CTRL for the Superlight, it’s been great
YOU NEED ARTISAN NOW
4:18 no one gonna talk abt this? k
I'm on the steel series qck and I'm loving it
Thanks for the vid! I was having a hard time finding a decent mousepad…a MOUSEPAD of all things. This really helps!
Glad I could help!
Didn't really know there was much of a differemce honestly ... might look into it now
My best results are with picking something that I like and sticking to it.
Tied a lot but back then I ended up choosing the Steelseries Qck mousepads. Been using the line of pads for +- 8 years now and can't comfortably use any other pad because I got so damn used to it. I'd definitely have to readjust myself with a different pad.
I fell down the mousepad rabbit hole this year! I've tried all sorts of different pads. I ended up going with the LGG Venus. I kept my Artisan Zero (soft, wish it was mid) and LGG Saturn on my shelf as backup/change ups. My main game is R6S.
Lethal Gaming Gear sells artisan mousepads and I personally use the Jupiter daily it took some adjusting to but I like it
I personally use a Logitech mousepad, does the job, it’s (kinda) cheap and it lasts a VERY long time! Love the video, thanks for posting!
me too
Gigachads use PS4 as mousepad
as someone apart of the mouse community I would suggest to get used to the gpro super and do learn about mouse feet. I would recommend corepads they the basic standard.
always have used QCKs, they're good, and often can be found discounted.
I trashed one in a few years, bought a new one and just quickly bought a bigger one just for the sake of having more space.
probably not the best one nor the cheapest but i got used to it and had been playing on them for years
try zowie gs-r, i used to change mousepads frequently but this one made me stop buying cause i just felt really consistent with it
I had a similar experience to you when I first started playing valorant regularly. Before that I just used a cheap desk mat I got on amazon, but after valorant I started to look into mice and mouse pad options and soon became relatively obsessed with them lol. After trying many mouse pads (10-15) I finally caved and bought an artisan zero Xsoft and haven't even considered going back to any other mousepad. The glide is perfect for valorant with low initial friction but somehow has really good stopping power and offers an almost aim assist feel because of this. Also I have been using it for over 6 months and it still feels incredible, alot of pads I have used previously would feel great out of the box but would turn into inconsistent mud mats after a month or so(cough cough Logitech and Zowie) but I have noticed no such problem with artisan, I might try something new when my zero finally wears out but for now it is easily the best pad I have ever used and well worth the money.
I will preface by saying I prefer speed. I use a Logitech G Pro X Superlight with glass feet on a SANWA Extended CORDURA mousepad. It has been the biggest game changer for me. I wont be swapping either for a very long time.
Currently using a Razer Acari! I play a lot of arena shooters and need the hard pad for faster flicking and microadjustments
Great vid! Took your advice and ended up going with the LGG Saturn, thanks!
Great to hear!
Should have tried Cooler master MP511 or endgame gear mpc mousepads. Cordura pads are amazing coz they offer insane speed and still manage to provide very good control feel. Takes a few days to get used to and then it's like magic!! Insane aim improvements!!
bruh just use a wooden plank it’s does the same job just make sure you get the smooth plank not the not smooth one
@@6891s 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My favorite right now is my halo halo deskmat. The image of the dessert makes me perform better.
Hi!
i like this switch and click video over most of them. SHE ACTUALLY SPEAKS LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING AND NOT A 5 YEAR OLD
Mouse pads make a big difference when it comes to mouse speed and non slippage when using it. Best in depth view video I have seen for mouse pads. Thanks Betts. BTW, I use the Steal Series 1'x3' RGB mouse pad and I love it. 🤜💥🤛
but a wooden plank does the best job
Despite the mouse pads I do realize that you can change the dpi so maybe the mix of mat n dpi could make it a “better” mouse pad.
2:33 what did you say about my v8 engine, amazing sounds of a v8 and my hobby
Can you make a video of fast rgb mousepads because a lot of light would be = good but can it also be fast?
I recomend to buy from Ultimate Custom Mousepad and get a wallpaper in there it will look really nice, and put an artisan over it
I run a razer strider yeah it's super fast but still has some control compared to hard pads. I also run a low sense in game with 1600dpi. Razer viper V2 pro.
I used to have plastic mousepads and then for a long time I stopped using them as I didn't believe they were necessary until I had tried a cloth pad one day from a classmate who had brought it to school. I could notice that I would have more control with the mouse. Which also happened to be the same mouse that I had: the G502. For just tracking, a mouse pad is not needed, but it definitely makes it more pleasant while giving more control. It also helps protect your mouse feet from dirt and dust.
I went from the Steelseries Qck Mini to the medium-sized Steelseries Qck. It is cheap, it looks good and it does the job. It also feels nice to place my wrist on.
Why is everyone using a G502? Just cuz tge lightning as every kid likes...
@@geomon0815 because the scroll wheel
@@6891s who needs it? If we're honest nobody has a use for this
@@geomon0815 yeah it’s not that useful sure it’s could get like 500 cps but that’s it the rest suck and the g502 is actually quite small so it’s not great for big hand either and there’s plenty of better mice out there that’s the same price or cheaper so i don’t actually recommend to buy the mice that is unless you aready have 500+ bitcoins or you will take advantage of the scroll wheel
Do you play games with a clicky keyboard?!
I use a zowie gsr btw. Wish it was bigger.
would you do a review on the Pulsar superglide glass mousepad?
I recently buy the razer huntsman mini and I want to mod it but I don’t know if every switch is good for my keyboard, thanks
I can really recommend the Walhaut Beluga, an Odin Infinity, a Vancer Ace or a FNATIC DASH XD if you want to step up your game and have a real quality item.
Bad Seed commin' in clutch with the mouse pad recs.
you can try zowie g-sr if you want super slow pad,TenZ use it for a long time
Try artisan mousepads (the brand name is artisan) and they basically got the best ones out there, they have no competition basically
my favorite is the one you got and i dont have 🤣
been using a endgame gear mpc450, but it's way too fast for me😓
but you are right, the more i use it, the more consistent i get. recently, started to carry in LEM lobies with it, but i am pretty sure i can perform better on a saturn or something like a pulsat parabrake v2.
Hi SwitchAndClick! If you overshoot alot with a light mouse, try going for a control pad. I personally use AquaControl+ by X-raypad but I've heard that the AquaControl II is even better. Happy gaming!
I use the one in my closet. (T shirt) in my opinion it’s an endgame because all I do is play Minecraft so I don’t need that much movement but it works. My other mouse pad is a kinetic labs desk mat
Do you still make people keyboards i love those videos
Honestly. I've tried so many pads. Odin Gaming pads are the best. Especially Infinity and their new Andromeda. I just stick with Odin for pads and forget about the rest.
Lethal Gaming Gear Venus XXL by far. BY FAR. Second is Artisan FX Hien Soft XL.
Love the Gigantus I prefer the V1 but the additional sizes of the V2 are nice. A proper thick actually cloth pad is rare nowdays. With everything just using neoprene wetsuit material.
And yes logitech pads are super thin. What you had I probably their thickest. They're better off being a backing material for another hard pad than an actual pad.
I should mention I'm not a desk pad fan. For me it defeats the point of a mouse pad as well as having a nice desktop.
Artisan mousepads are in my wishlist!!! But Im rocking the tiger esports long teng hou yun se!! got to immortal with that mousepad!!
one year ago i searched "rgb mousepad" on amazon and picked the first result. its terrible but i have still not replaced it.
i use the fabric mousepad from glorious and I really love it
My favourite mouse pad that I have currently is the sky pad 2.0 I got it a while ago and I love it as it’s really fast and I don’t like any stoping power on my pad I like how it’s just me controlling it nothing else and I lay high sens so it just feels super good so if you haven’t tried hard pard I recommend giving it a go
LTT Northern Lights for the Win
Got the Razer mousepad myself and I can say it isn't that fast. I get a lot of control with it using Xtrfy M42, Steelseries Rival 3, Logitech G305, Logitech Mx Anywhere 3 and Apple Magic mouse gen 2
I'm using a Razer Viper V2 Pro with an Artisan Hayate Otsu soft. I also have a Zero soft, but it's too slow for me. I may try a Hien at some point. Nothing but good to say about Artisan (except maybe availability).
I just use a desk mat 😅
I main the skypad 3.0 XL paired with my final mouse starlight phantom and pro
honestly for valorant, an artisan is the best choice u cant really go wrong with one they have fast pads and slow and more control focused pads , you can also try a CRAZY fast glass bad from a brand called skypad
Lmao the first kill was "shepegsme"
I really like the zowie gsr-se rouge, slightly slower than the saturn!
I am thinking you should get an LGG Venus. Which is just a little faster than then Saturn. I would get one of their new Pro series pads as they a much improved! If you DM them on Twitter, I promise they will send you some Pro series pads to review if you ask! You might also want to check out the Cerapad KIN which LGG also sells. It is a glass pad with a ceramic coating, and the surface is very controlled! I also would recommend the Padsmith Temple of Dream pad and Dornfinger Rawpad V2 Summer Edition as good Valorant pads. Also the Jupiter pad works really good with glass skates. Maybe get a pair of glass skates for one of your G-Pro's and give the Jupiter pad another go! Lastly, maybe try an Esport Tiger Wuxiang 2 pad...it has a super smooth surface you might enjoy. I have like 70 mouse pads so feel free to hit me up with any mouse questions! I always enjoy your keyboard reviews, and as a mouse reviewer, I'd love to see you get into more mouse related content!
thank you!
@@SwitchandClickOfficial You are most welcome! I built my first custom keyboard after watching your channel so if I can impart any mouse knowledge, I am most happy to do so! If you have an IKEA near you, you can also grab a $10 IKEA mouse pad which is probably the best bang for the buck pad on the market! It easily competes with $30-40 pads! It also makes a good budget mouse pad review, as people are always shocked that IKEA has a good mousepad and that it is only $10! It was actually only $7 when I originally bought the one I review, and it became so popular they raised the price $3! lol
what rank are you
I hv a razer firefly had some trouble adjusting to it but i think its worth it in my opinion
I love the Venus pro from lgg it’s so good
can you try the glorious glass infused mousepad
Ive been waiting so long for a mouse pad review
I personally use a Zowie G-SR I find it a really good control pad, well at least for me.
Setup tour??
wait what keyboard are you using? and ngl you are so cooler now that i know you play val xD
Ive used 3 mouspads, i used a pretty bad dragon mousepad, then i used the razer sphex but that was just not such a high quality mousepad, and now im using the artisan zero l soft, which is super good
where is the razer strider?
I thought you used an ergonomic mouse?
imo i love my razer gigantus v2. Just that the edges are peeling
you should do like different playlists for like keyboards mice and other stuffy stuff
i hadnt even thought about different mouse pads i just brought some cheap things so i didnt scratch my desk haha
for many years i have qck heavy steelseries and now zowie both are greats! for cs go and valorant
whats that crosshair in the clips?
Hey Betty love your content this new approach to you content is something I really enjoy
I'm so glad!
My favourite mouse mat is the Cooler Master MP510. Provides a lot better control than any other of my previous mousemats and it's not too slow as well. I personally like combining it with slightly faster mouse settings and they balance out very well.
A good mouse pad is often overlooked or chosen based on looks and not function so well done digging into the subject. Check Optimum Tech yt channel if you haven't already, he has some great tips on mouse pads and mice especially from a fps gaming point of veiw
I would love to see a Bad Seed collab!
I think your mousepad in your shop is the perfect one and I’m gonna buy it soon
Love this new content!
thank you!
It's about the mouse and pad. You can't just choose a pad without knowing your mouse and style properly.
I own two diff artisan mousepads, zero and hien and I like them both. They have their pros and cons. Personally idk why but I switched back to a Logitech g640. Bought a new one and also went back to my g703 from my Razer deathadder v3 pro and I literally started doing so good in ow2. Went from Diamond 5 to Masters 3 in two days. This is just me I guess since the g640 was my old first main and maybe it’s my best mousepad to perform. Or it’s just me switching to different mouse and mousepad = good first week results? I’m still gonna see how I do this week since it’s gonna be week 2 on that ow2 grind 👌
