Thanks for all your excellent tutorials. I notice that your POIs show up with white text on a dark background. Can you kindly explain how to put a dark background on these labels? Out of the box these labels are illegible. Thanks!
Thanks for the video again! Is there a way to do this just with the coordinates, without opening the game? I mean it is no problem for building the project in the end but if I want to set many POIs I imagine just setting coordinates could be way faster.
yeah, you can just open you scene xml file in your source directory and add the LandmarkLocation tag (this but with the open/close brackets around it but I can't type them into the youtube comment) LandmarkLocation instanceId="{0EC6794F-DEBA-4ED6-A067-5DE95072B5BF}" type="POI" name="Aston Villa Football Club" lat="52.50912500212556" lon="-1.88488055155984" alt="100.97324163746089"
i am surprised you cant save location as an ingame feature, there are so much quality of life features they could have added also how do you have your hud hidden when using external camera? thanks
Yeah. I'm surprised how little people vote for quality of life improvements in the forums. It's like they don't want small improvements. These things can easily be implemented in a 2 - 3 patch time frame. Instead they only vote for massive features that will take months to implement and then complain the devs don't listen. Sure I want the big features too. But small incremental upgrades will also help us a lot.
Without showing how you set up the project for this, this info is incomplete. I was able to do everything you show here, but got lost trying to do the setup of project part. The help docs in the SDK are pretty horrible and don't map to what actually happens in the SDK. Maybe they made updates to it. Would love to see a complete video of how to do this.
Hello, i want to ask question. After adding some of poi, we need to save scenery ? (scenery editor) save xml format and copy the folder to community? already try but the POI isnt showing up
Hi and how do you delete them? It happens that I added them and also increased the height. Then realized they were too many and were not like in the exact point (it was my first try) so I simply went to the name of each one ( where I had them listed them) and delete them but the white lines still show and rise to the sky with no text or landmark icon. How can I get rid of those, please?
I don't have landmark location on my Objects window where it says scenery!!! Between group object and Airport there isn't any to be seen:( Does the game need to be some different version or SDK ??? edit : It was the version of the both SDK and the game. I updated everything then everything was ok ;)
Hi, I don't know how you got to this window. I have activated the dev mode and I do see a new bar at the top of the screen. Devmode, tools, camera etc. How do I get to those options that you are showing so I can start and add my own POIs?

@Flying Theston what sort of file structure must be set up beforehand to accommodate the POI?

I haven't watched the video but I have read most of the title, why can't I add points of interest?
have you purchased the game yet?

It asks me now where it should save the scene file. Where does it have to be saved?
Wonderful stuff!!
Hi. Thank you! Do you have a text version?

Can you show us how to follow a map to make a small or big airport in blender? Or sketchup
How do we change an airport ICAO if it is old/outdated/wrong?

Do you have a discord?
I have the impression, that this tutorial starts in the middle. Do you use google earth or google maps? What has to be done first?
google maps or google earth for what? this video is about adding points of interest to scenery
@@FlyingTheston But where do you get these points of interest? Don´t you need google maps for this?

Oh, I need to download and install the SDK first 😅 Thank you for the tutorial, looks promising and I'll try it out in a bit!
