As someone who has spent years studying, researching and reading about the Titanic, it’s pretty insane how much was happening in the 2 hours and 40 minutes it took to sink. You can make an entire movie just about the things that led up to the iceberg and what was going on in the background and it would be super fascinating. That being said, the fact that a movie has never been made about the Carpathia’s 4-hour journey to get to the titanic is CRIMINAL to say the least, to say it was wild would be an understatement.
Fun Fact during that night RMS Carpathia's engines were put to the ultimate speed test. Because RMS Carpathia's cruising speed was 14 knots but that night the ship reached the top speed of 17.5 to 18 knots. After the rescue of RMS Titanic's passenger's that night Carpathia's engines were slightly damaged. Sadly RMS Carpathia was sunk during WWI when a German U Boat torpedoed it 4 times.
Another movie that should be made would be about the 2006 sinking of the "Queen of the North" ferry which was due to a disputable human error. Also a movie about the 2014 sinking of the MV Sewol in South Korea where 304 passengers, mostly high school students had died. And also a movie about the 1975 sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald where the entire crew were lost. Additionally, a movie about the fiery 1965 sinking of the "SS Yarmouth Castle" where 90 people ultimately died near the Bahamas.
I’m sure you’ve seen the Oceanliner Designs channel’s video on Carpathia… if not, it’s a must watch. That said, a Carpathia film needs to happen, as does an Olympic film. People would flock to see a movie about “what if the Titanic never sank” (which is more or less the story of Olympic), and you could write it sort of like Spielberg’s War Horse, with Olympic herself being the main character who we follow as she changes hands over the years.
There are Videos on UA-cam of The Titanic Originally Survivors Who Was On The Titanic That Day an Night They Said that They Basically Was Sold On The Fact That Titanic Couldn’t Be Sinking Later They Found out That Was A Big Lie
This flick came out back in '97, I was a teenager of 17 at the time (Yes, I know I'm old now.). For the youngsters today, here's a small fun fact, this reel was so loved by the general public that it ran in theaters for roughly 10 months, bascially almost a year.
I was 11 and saw it at least 5 times I can remember. It's wild to think how the majority of my peers did the same - I know it was the appeal of Leo that began most of our journeys to Titanic but it's interesting that millions of kids kept going back for more crying lol I remember every talent show for the next few years having people doing interpretive dance stuff to My Heart Will Go On
This is my favorite movie of all time and even though I have seen it a zillion times since I was 11, your tears made me weep again. Thank you for enjoying it with me.
I also saw it when I was 11 years old. I went to the movie theater 3 times to watch, two of those times my parents let me go alone during matinee showtimes. I have also seen it more times than I can count and have watched numerous people react to it. It never fails to make me cry. Such an epic movie. A total masterpiece. I only place it second to The Princess Bride (which brings me so much joy).
I saw it 3 times also, I was 10. I made my dad take me. He fell asleep all 3 times. I was so obsessed with that movie, when I turned 11 all my birthday presents were something from the movie. @@IndieCindy3

If he hadn’t convinced James Cameron to put Celine Dion’s My Heart Will go On in this film would it have been as great? But other than the theme song he produced a phenomenal soundtrack to this movie.
Imagine the screams the survivors heard. I’m sure that haunted them for the rest of their lives. I remember reading a story from a survivor that not long after titanic sank, he had tickets to go to a baseball game and he had to leave when the fans were screaming because he said it reminded him of the screams of the people that night. Imagine the ptsd everyone had. So heartbreaking. RIP to those that didn’t make it that night.
Third class passengers were never forcibly kept below. They might have gotten lost in the corridors as some of them couldn't understand English, or they were just abandoned by the stewards who were mostly on the boat deck. So yes, they had drastically lower chances to survive but that was by no means a result of malice on the part of the crew or "the rich people"
There's SOOOO much to find out about this movie. The real people that were added to the background, the conversations overheard by survivors that were added to the dialogue, and that's not even counting the historical realism. Honestly, right down to the carpet that was kept in a museum a d reprinted for this movie specifically. It's so fabulous, the absolute craftsmanship, the writing, eeeeverything about it. Even the fictional love story had a purpose to distract the audience from what we all knew what inevitable. SUPERB movie-making. ❤️
Well to be fair, Titanic had tiles ;) the carpet was from the Olympic, but its the sister so thats okay ^^ However, when you look closer at the recreation of the ship, Cameron didnt just recreate stuff, he called the actual companies who made it, furniture, tiles, porcelan, ropes .....if a company still exitsted, he called them. Thats love to detail. Also the "model" of the Titanic was 90% of the original ship. He called Experts like marine artist Ken Marshall to tell him, where he could cut a bit from the lenght without anyone notice.
The movie that placed both Kate Winslet and Leo on the map. I remember watching the previews to this movie before it was released in the Spring or Summer of '97. Right away I knew this was going to be a blockbuster hit and remember telling myself, "these guys are going to sweep the Oscars. Everyone is going to remember that movie years and years from now". Sure enough, with a budget of $200 million and over $2.2 billion grossed at the box office..........
Leo was already on the map. He had done What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Hoop Dreams, The Quick and The Dead, and most notably Romeo and Juliet by this point. Granted, this film turned him into a superstar I'll give you that much. Now this film absolutely put Kate Winslet on the map.
One thing that I noticed that I never noticed before about Titanic was after Jack attempted to get on the door with rose and failed if you look at his face you can see that he's assess the situation and has already accepted his fate. Also what he's telling Rose you're going to get out of here and you're going to go on and have lots of babies are going to die warm in your bed never once you mentioned we
I've been studying Titanic since before she was located in 1985, and I can tell you that although there are assorted little quibbles to be had with this film, on everything that really counts it gets it RIGHT. I was blown away when I saw it in the theater, and I am still. It captures the enormity of what happened and many of the small details, and both the grand and the intimate tragedy. Two things I would point out - when the boiler rooms flooded upon impact, the viewer is given the sense that men had to get through the closing doors or be trapped and die. In reality all the compartments had ladders, so they were able to escape upwards. Also, the 'entrapment' of 3rd class passengers below decks wasn't truly as depicted. Gates were required to remain closed and locked during the voyage per Board of Trade regulations. On the night of the sinking, some did no doubt find their passage blocked but it was because there was no 'plan'. Language barriers also played a roll in keeping some below - if it was hard to get the wealthy to abandon their belongings and get into dinky little boats, image how hard it would be if they couldn't communicate. And we know that stewards made a number of trips below to ferry groups topside. In the end, many did perish but it wasn't as cold blooded as the film might have you think.
Remember Rose's swing of the fire axe that freed Jack? She closed her eyes. You probably can't forget the cut when Rose spits in Cal's eye. Jim Cameron has said that took 27 takes.
The elderly couple on the bed were based on real people, Isidor and Ida Straus. Wendy Rush, the wife of Stockton Rush, who died on the Oceangate submersible that went to see the Titanic wreckage, is a descendant of theirs.
This an amazing masterpiece of film so cool you got to watch it I remember having the two vhs tapes and the first part stopped at when the captain told mr ismay he would get his headlines and then the second tape started at where cal slaps rose in their room it was such a pain back then lol
Titanic is not the kind of film where you completely cry at the final scenes. Titanic is the film that you cry over from the very beginning, when you watch it a second, third, and other times, because you return to the ship with Rose. To Jack.
You are such a personality! So funny I love all your face expressions haha and you really feel it without overdo it. I was crying with you at the ending even though I've seen it many times. But you crying and still your face expressions and sad voice at the end made me laugh and cry at the same time! How the hell do you do that hahah. Thank you these 2 videos
At the end of this reaction I completely broke down when she said "he exists now only in my memory" and the passing of my Oma hit so hard I lost myself for a good hour. Somehow this movie always pulls out the emotions in anyone especially the end.
I’ve seen this movie dozens of times, and your reaction made me cry. What a tragedy, it’s hard to grasp the scope of it. It was “titanic” in every way. 😢
The water in the ocean was around 28 degrees F. It would kill you in minutes, if you survived the jump. Staying on the ship as long as possible was your absolutely best chance at survival. Also, morbid fact: The life vests were so buoyant that numerous passengers who DID jump had their necks broken from the counteracting force when hitting the water.
Also the third class passengers were NOT STUCK GATED IN THEIR AREA OF THE SHIP!!! Especially when it was sinking. This is one of many lies in this movie.
Oh my goodness. This movie came out when I was 11 and i probably saw it at least 5x in theatres and then a bajillion more since then. Watching your reaction was beautiful. I'm so glad the movie is still touching people in such a profound way. Any time I hear the notes of My Heart Will Go On I get choked up.
Movie suggestion ... Ever hear of SOMEWHERE IN TIME...? It's an excellent movie where a piece of jewelry connects an old woman to the past... 1912 to be exact. You may wonder where people get their "inspiration" for a movie like TITANIC. Well, SOMEWHERE IN TIME has one of the most beautiful love stories .... take all the elements from that movie and put them on Titanic, you have an instant hit. SOMEWHERE IN TIME also is an obvious inspiration for GROUNDHOG DAY. If you react to the movie SOMEWHERE IN TIME, you won't regret it, and you will spot all the connections to TITANIC & GROUNDHOG DAY.
Thankfully during the actual sinking the third class were Not locked below. They had every chance to get to the lifeboats; however most third class couldn’t speak English. So unfortunately many never made it to the boat deck.
Your videos are really good. Just really thoughtful comments, delivered in a great range of voices. Detail about "Titanic": the loving Irish mother, telling a story to distract her children from their impending deaths, is played by the same actress who just a few years ago had played the macho space marine Vasquez in "Aliens." How was Jenette Goldstein not put in ALL THE MOVIES?
The crew members didn’t wanna cause any panic among the passengers regardless of the severity of the situation which yes there still would’ve been panic but…..up until the water started rushing the ship as it was really tilting there wasn’t much panic.
they actually didn’t have a safety drill with the lifeboats in the beginning of the trip, so the sailors were ill prepared and panicking. it’s not that they didn’t care, they were just unfamiliar with how to get the lifeboats down and seat everyone possible. also the amount of lifeboats the titanic had was just them following the regulations of the time. luckily safety regulations are much better now for cruise ships, and there is a lifeboat for every passenger. people did jump off the side of the boat but because the water is so freezing cold, and there is a suction force from the ship, a lot of people that did that froze to death in a few minutes or got sucked underneath the ship as it was sinking edit: also the locked gate thing was more of a shorthand lazy way for the movie to show the class divide between the rich and the poor. even though there was no big locked gate, the ship itself was very confusing and big to navigate. the third class passengers were the last to be informed of the sinking, a lot of them didn’t speak english, and they were not well-informed/helped in getting out of the ship to the lifeboats. lower class people were left to fend for themselves but i understand that it would take more screen time to portray all of that nuance
I don’t really comment on channels, but I felt to say this I love your reactions I love your personality I love your artwork But most of all, I love the Bible verses you post each video. God bless sister
I was holding off a little througout the movie even though I maybe got emotional once or twice but when Jack passed, I almost wanted to stop watching, James cameron really knows how to get people in his movies, absolutely one of the best movies I have ever seen (Thank you to the cast and director). ❤
The HMS Terror and Erubus . The Hindenburg. The Titanic. Advancements in technology that explore new frontiers should offer a warning to those in the future. Space travel will be next.
The two old people in the bed when room filling with water is based off real people that gave up their seats to a poor couple, they are also the great grandpants of Stockton Rushs that died last year in the oceangate disaster wife, and the man was one of the founders of the store Macy's
If you want to see an actual dive to the Titanic, check out Ghosts of the Abyss. James Cameron, the director of Titanic, and Bill Paxton, who played Brock Lovett go down and see her. This was around 2001 but it came out in 2003. Good documentary.
Actually, the third class passengers weren't locked below deck the way the movie depicts. The reason those gates were locked in the first place is due to the extreme fear of transmissible diseases, and, sadly, the third class passengers WERE the ones more likely to carry parasites and illnesses than the first class. It was to avoid ships having to be docked with all passengers aboard and not allowed to leave for weeks at a time to prevent pandemics. When the Titanic hit the iceberg, it took the crew about forty minutes to figure out just how bad the situation was, and those gates were immediately unlocked when they realized the ship was sinking. And the reason why there were only enough lifeboats for about half the ships capacity was because the lifeboats were never designed for long-term survival on the ocean. They were supposed to ferry passengers back and forth to rescuing ships.
Great reaction as always. What I'd like to know is how long after the movie did the tears continue, and how long did the existential feeling of mortality and life linger with you afterwards knowing that tragedies like this happens, but it takes a movie for us to recognize deeply what those people involved went through.
Loved your reaction! ❤ Aside from his action flicks (Terminator, Aliens, True Lies, Avatar), James Cameron wrote a great love story for this epic film. 🎥
first off I want to say you are so pretty! Second if I would suggest one movie for you to watch it would be Big Fish! It's by Tim Burton. It is my favorite film by him! Not a lot of people react to it but it's one of the greats in my opinion. ♥️♥️
THIS IS SOO AWESOME I WATCHED THIS MOVIE 🎥 YESTERDAY MY BEAUTIFUL BLESS WOMAN OF THE WORD ❤️❤️ 😁 THIS IS A ROMANTIC CLASSIC BOO 🎥🍿 I THINK ABOUT US WEN I WATCH TBIS MOVIE 🎥 LOL 😉♥️😆
I've always thought that one important takeaway is not to trust your faith completely in technology. All these people trusting a ship built by men that will sail across the ocean. People today still trust technology way too much.
No black people were harmed in the making of this movie.....because there aren't any.................... EDIT: actually there was just one black passenger. Joseph Philippe Lemercier Laroche
the hubris that enabled this still exists unfortunately we saw it in 2023 with the titan sub. and i would not be surprised if the passenger class thing comes back with the whole maga movement and racism in play
I hate to spoil the ending but... the Titanic sinks..... I know I know! What A plot twist! And ironically the Iceberg was not the villain in this movie.
Am I the only one who thinks it's EXTREMELY messed up that they took a real life disaster... a real life tragedy, and turned it into a romantic movie about a completely fictional couple, who literally just met? Imagine what it would be like, if in a couple decades someone took what happened in 2001, and they turned that into a romantic movie about a fictional couple.
The lover story is there for the audience to empathize and connect to characters, its the basis of all movies and in reality, many people existed on the ship that were like Rose and Jack
Would have been a pretty boring movie in that case let's be honest. The love story is what turned this thing into a massive hit. Also, they did the same thing with Pearl Harbor.

This is my favorite movie and I love seeing people watch it for the first time. But your facial expressions are such an added bonus 😂
Thanks for watching!
Thankfully during the actual sinking the third class were Not locked below.
They had every chance to get to the lifeboats; however most third class couldn’t speak English. So unfortunately many never made it to the boat deck.
Perhaps the best feel-good ending in a movie ever...
This is my all-favorite movie. Love to see others appreciate it ❤
And you're a man, supposedly.
I had never watched this movie before, it was nice to see it with you. Your reaction was real and authenic.
Sad thing is the water was so cold those people had no chance swamping the boats.
I totally loved your reaction!! Thank You So Much!!
Amazing movie, great you finally get to watch!
they actually didn’t have a safety drill with the lifeboats in the beginning of the trip, so the sailors were ill prepared and panicking. it’s not that they didn’t care, they were just unfamiliar with how to get the lifeboats down and seat everyone possible. also the amount of lifeboats the titanic had was just them following the regulations of the time. luckily safety regulations are much better now for cruise ships, and there is a lifeboat for every passenger. people did jump off the side of the boat but because the water is so freezing cold, and there is a suction force from the ship, a lot of people that did that froze to death in a few minutes or got sucked underneath the ship as it was sinking
edit: also the locked gate thing was more of a shorthand lazy way for the movie to show the class divide between the rich and the poor. even though there was no big locked gate, the ship itself was very confusing and big to navigate. the third class passengers were the last to be informed of the sinking, a lot of them didn’t speak english, and they were not well-informed/helped in getting out of the ship to the lifeboats. lower class people were left to fend for themselves but i understand that it would take more screen time to portray all of that nuance
The band really did that. They continued to play.
First class passengers had the highest survival rate at 62%, followed by second class at 41%, and third class at 25%
I don’t really comment on channels, but I felt to say this
I love your reactions
I love your personality
I love your artwork
But most of all, I love the Bible verses you post each video. God bless sister
Simple the best movie of all!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Great reaction. Some reactors just talk over all the best parts.
Yup, to prevent themselves from crying, it's so obvious.
The captain is the same actor who played King Theoden in "Lord of the Rings"
🛡️🗡️
Oh wow! I didn’t even recognize him
Yeah, unfortunately he passed away in May. ☹
@@joplin8433
Aw, man. I didn't hear about that. Rest in peace, Theoden King. 👑
It's such a powerful movie
Great reaction as always. What I'd like to know is how long after the movie did the tears continue, and how long did the existential feeling of mortality and life linger with you afterwards knowing that tragedies like this happens, but it takes a movie for us to recognize deeply what those people involved went through.
I would say a couple hours after the film. I still felt the emotional impact of it.
Thank you for this reaction.
Awesome reaction. Love your channel.
Thank you so much!!
2:13 that's what she said
Loved your reaction! ❤ Aside from his action flicks (Terminator, Aliens, True Lies, Avatar), James Cameron wrote a great love story for this epic film. 🎥
Thank you for watching!
I love titanic
" Move over women. There's enough room for the both of us on that raft !!!! "
Survival of the fittest!
If you think Cal is bad here. Go see what he does to Nicole Kidman in Dead Calm.
first off I want to say you are so pretty! Second if I would suggest one movie for you to watch it would be Big Fish! It's by Tim Burton. It is my favorite film by him! Not a lot of people react to it but it's one of the greats in my opinion. ♥️♥️
great reaction. you look so pretty here!
First of all, you are gorgeous. Second, like your reaction

Thank you so much! I am from Florida 🌴
Best movie ever ❤ melhor filme
how did she add herself in the corner of the video like that?
and why were parts blurred?
I use a green screen. And I have to blur out certain parts of the film to avoid a copyright claim
You "got" it. You're one of the very few who did.
Got what?
@@bramijdema759 You don't get it.
Classes were FORBIDEN TO MIX AMONG THEMSELVES 1 CLASS| 2 Class and 3 CLASS ROSE WAS FROM 1 CLASS NOW JACK HE WAS A 3 CLASS
Great reaction video. You should consider watching The Final Destination movies!!!!
I've always thought that one important takeaway is not to trust your faith completely in technology.
All these people trusting a ship built by men that will sail across the ocean.
People today still trust technology way too much.
Check out the Slavoj Zizek analysis of the movie.
you look like Rae Sremmurd
Lovely reaction
♥
Best awesome funny coolest most beautiful and lovely REACTION every time 😇🥰😇😇🫠💯💕
No black people were harmed in the making of this movie.....because there aren't any....................
EDIT: actually there was just one black passenger. Joseph Philippe Lemercier Laroche
the hubris that enabled this still exists unfortunately we saw it in 2023 with the titan sub. and i would not be surprised if the passenger class thing comes back with the whole maga movement and racism in play
Can you please please react to the movie Law Abiding Citizen? 🥺🥺🙏🏻🙏🏻
TT brothers
I like your reaction but you need to do more commentary throughout the movie you know like do a little more talking just saying
This movie is so sad.
@10:25 You would die in the water
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😢☑️
I hate to spoil the ending but... the Titanic sinks..... I know I know! What A plot twist! And ironically the Iceberg was not the villain in this movie.
I can't watch this horror movie again.
Rose is one of my favorite movie villains.
You mean Cal?
You're so beautiful
Thank you!
Am I the only one who thinks it's EXTREMELY messed up that they took a real life disaster... a real life tragedy, and turned it into a romantic movie about a completely fictional couple, who literally just met? Imagine what it would be like, if in a couple decades someone took what happened in 2001, and they turned that into a romantic movie about a fictional couple.
there is a movie called Remember me xd...
