I’ve used your information twice and it worked both times on my 2022 Honda CR-V. Thank you so much!! The fact that you discovered this by accident is incredible. I’ve tried to share this with the dealership when they couldn’t fix the problem but they were dismissive of it. Like the saying goes “the proof is in the pudding“.
My 2023 CRV did the same thing and nothing I did would correct it. I followed your instructions and sure enough, the Idle Stop works again. I don't really use it, but I was worried that the battery or charging system were defective. Thanks for posting this video.
2021 Honda CRV LX Standard Key What I did today and the AIS started work again. In the parking lot, I opened the door and got in the vehicle and closed the door. Staying in the driver's seat(Don't Start the Engine), I buckled the seat belt. Pulled the hood latch release. Started the engine. Got the hood open message in the drivers information centre. Keep the engine running, and the Car must be in Parking Mode; unbuckle the seat belt, open the driver's door(Don't close the Door), Go to the Hood, and Close it. Got back in the vehicle, started it as per normal and drove away, and the AIS operated on this drive when conditions were met.
Thanks for this tip. I am going to try this and see if it works. I only have a little over 2,000 miles on my car and it’s already stopped working…wondering if this is common on the latest Acura’s/Honda’s? 🤔 ***Update*** I did try this on my Acura and it worked. Thanks so much for sharing this tip/finding. It’s very simple and helpful 😊.
Went and got my recall for the battery fuse now the car alarm goes off all the time when I’m away from the car and turns on and drains a battery overnight emissions codes pop up while driving usually in Econ mode and the only way to solve it is to keep the lights on then unplug the battery while the engine is off it resets the codes and it will drive perfect after that very frustrating usually if I want the motor to turn off I just turn off the AC or the heater and vice versa to keep the engine running when I first turn the engine on just turn the heat on to high and it idles automaticallymine is a hybrid touring 2021
This idle sleep is not enabled if you don't push too hard on the brake pedal when you stop. You can still control the vehicle from moving but just not too much pressure on the brake pedal and it won't go to sleep. For instance, if you know the stop will only be momentary, apply brake pressure just enough to stop vehicle but not hard enough to activate the idle sleep. Yes, it takes couple practices, but great to have options.
@@mrscorpio007ify I don't like the car turning off at stops because the turbo is still hot. The oil will cook in the lines. It's best to let ur car idle for 20 secs before turning it off to cool the turbo
@Kona the Rottweiler good to know. But hopefully Honda knows about this and there's something in the cars already to remedy these situations. Like some people worry about the starter and batteries. I'm pretty sure these parts are built to take these types of functions. 😉
I don't want my Honda to turn off.... it puts stress on the starter and uses more gas to start the engine every time than to leave it idle. These are just a scam to exaggerate epa claims
You do have control when you want the idle. If you apply only about 90% pressure on the brake at your stop, the idle will not go to sleep, only if you press down on the brake at full pressure. If I know it won't take long, I use this technique a lot and works great

No
How do you get idle stop to be permanently off though?
Thank you. This reset worked on my 2022 Honda CR-V. Saved me a trip to the dealer.
I hope that is works for me. Then I can cancel the appointment that I made for tomorrow.

I didn’t believe it would work but it does now. Great job thanks
Brooooo thank you so much!!!! FYI this fixes the engine idle start/stop feature from being disabled.
Wow
It worked on my Honda 2020 CR-V touring. Thanks
Thanks it worked for my 2019 honda pilot..🎉
Worked perfectly for 2021 Pilot

FAAAAAAAAKKKKKKK THIS IS GENIUS YOU JUST SAVED ME ~150$
Thank you. This was very helpful!
Thanks, this also worked on my 2020 Honda Crv.
what was message display when not working. is it not available?
Always turn off auto idle. This is the reason for many issues down the road if you hold on to the car long term.
Have a 2020 CRV Hybrid. The engine shuts off the moment the gas pedal is released. I don't have an idle stop button.
Shoot it worked for me ty
Would this work on Honda civic 1.dD 2018 model?

Why would you ever want it? This is destroying your battery
Shorten your starter life.which is more expensive repair than save litle bit gas
@@cebrailtuncer1699 really so it’s better to have it if then
This feature is so annoying
1.5 engine how much gas you can save.think starter how much replace. it is like thousand dollar
@Cebrail Tuncer the starter is probably under warranty the gas is not.
Just buy a Tesla, my guy
who in there right mind want
s an idle stop its so hard on turbo's and engines .
Everyone is trying to disable this feature!

Not everyone. The ones trying to save gas are trying to fix it.

Hello David do you know how to install app in Honda CR-V 2021?
You are lucky it doesn't work!
