Hello! Recently found your channel. I bought a house last year that has a dedicated central vac outlet in the 5 car garage (along with hot/cold water, radiant heat, floor drains and 20 ft ceilings). The guy who built it really knew what he was doing. I have lots of room to trick it out so your videos will be very helpful. Thanks!
I love your detailing product reviews and tips but what i love most is that your hilarious! I laugh everytime you laugh when you say something that's funny!
I am in the business and that's a clean set up. Spray painting the pipe to match the walls is a nice touch. They have retractable hose systems widely available now that eliminate the need for a spool set up but what you have is pretty sweet.
Thanks. This is the best vacuum I could find. Suction is absolutely insane. Looks cool too. At least I think so. Hahaha. Doesn’t require filter bags either which is rare and for me was a must have.
Great video! Amazing install! I wasn't aware of this brand. I have a crappy Bissel wallmount garage vac, and it just gets worse and worse as time goes on. This video absolutely convinced me that the Nadair is the way to go. The hose reel setup is brilliant. Love the passion you have for the fine work you've done!
Hi there! Hey I have a mobile grooming trailer that came with the Bissell garage pro wall mounted vac with the build of my trailer. Hated that thing. I took it off the wall and now I have a DeWalt quiet stealth sonic vacuum but it sits on the floor of my trailer so it's not the best idea. Just thought I replied to you here because I had that Bissell and I agree it is crappy. Did you get this vacuum? The nadair? I'm looking to get a wall mounted vacuum that works properly. This vacuum looks awesome.
Welp, I wish I had seen this vid, and your channel 2 weeks ago when my Craftsman wall mounted vac took a dump. Im looking for a high performance vacuum for my shop/garage. But with the huge amounts of "dirt", saw dust, and other swarf, Im pretty sure I will need some type of cyclone separator, to bypass most of it before it hits the vacuum. Great video
Great vacuum set up! We have a Beam central vacuum system installed when we built our house throughout the whole house and garage. It too has 700 aiwatts and the suction extremely powerful.🌪👍
I would definitely like to see a complete video of each. item that you have in the set up and where to find them (everything from the vac, to the reel, to the brace holding the vac, etc. ) and the overall price to have a vacuum system like yours done in my shop.
Inspired by your video, I replicated the exact same setup: NadAir vacuum, Cox Reel hose, 50 feet hose. One thing that I noticed is that when the vacuum turned on, it makes a whining or hissing noise. Trying to figure out, where the bottleneck could be. In your setting, it seems to run within noise range advertised by NadAir. In my case, it is loud - at about 118 DB when completely setup and 80 DB when the unit is on its own.
Sometimes air moving through the corrugated vacuum hose with that amount of force makes a noise. When it’s unreeled about 1/3 of the way or more it is very quiet. Is this what you are experiencing?
@@HawaiiDetailing That solved the problem! Thanks for the feedback. It was driving me crazy. I tried everything from different piping, to jump hoses, to pressure relief valve with no success. I really wanted this vacuum setup to work before jumping ships and going for Obsessed Garage version. NadAir is a keeper!
I love to look of this vac. Not sure how it compairs with the one Matt is selling now with obsessed garage as a kit with cox hose reel. I like that you don’t have to use bags in this one
I have not tried his model yet. I would like to bring one in at some point and see what it can do. I really like the one I have. It’s powerful and I have happy every time I use it.

Great setup. Does the low voltage switch need to also be connected to a 120v power source or is it just the low voltage line and the switch completes the circuit?

Suction is very powerful to the point where it picks up car carpet a little too much but cant complain with too much suction power! The biggest issue I have which I dont think Nadair 700 would solve is being able to suction larger items (e.g. fallen leaves). I find even with the 1.5" diameter Coxreel hose it still gets stuck. Nevertheless great for garage cleaning and cars. Thanks for the video
I wonder how this compares to like a dedicated dust collector in a wood shop? I'm going to be grabbing a clear view cyclone for my woodshop and I wonder if I can also use that for the car
Looks amazing! Such a clean setup. Question: because this is a low voltage system designed primarily for home install, does it have a regulate switch on the side that can just be toggled on and off? My use wld be as a garage vac and I’m looking for a relatively easy setup.
for the sake of the life of the machine i highly recommend using the bag, it's not as expensive as you think and in central vacuums they can last quite a long time. the bag acts as a membrane that protects your air and your machine from damage and as it fills it compacts the dirt and when you dispose of it all that is outside and you don't run the risk of breathing in those particles you just vacuumed up as you would by dumping a bin. I have worked on thousands of machines as a vacuum technician and i hate bagless machines for these reasons
I’ve narrowed it down to a Nadair or the Prolux garage vac that also sucks wet. Lady from Prolux said 1140 air watts of suction. About the same price. Do you still love yours?
I still like it a lot and use it all the time. It’s front and center on my wall. I suggest for you to get what makes sense to you though buddy. I want you to feel good about your purchase based on your personal research so you get a model that meets all of your needs and arrives with all the specs and features that you are expecting. My review on this machine was as thorough as I could be but I have no idea what the other vacuum manufacturers claim or what kind of results they produce in comparison. Sorry that all I got and I hope that helps. Thanks for watching the channel.
Did you buy the Vac only? I'm thinking about this vacuum for my mobile grooming trailer. Mainly I would be vacuuming hair but I also use garbages for clumps of hair.
@@HawaiiDetailing Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my message! I'll need to get some kind of hose as I would not need a reel... Right now I have a quiet DeWalt stealth Sonic and I appreciate the quietness but it sits on my floor. And I have plenty of room on the wall for a wall mount vacuum. Thanks again!!
Very nice indeed! Well done. I'm thinking the Ridgid vac is now for wet applications if needed? Will there be "ports" for vacuum hose connections strategically located throughout the dwelling? Can't wait to see it. Will the increased distance hurt performance and lower the efficiency? I can see why you love vacuuming, it's rather therapeutic. Thanks for the video and review/info. 👍🏻✌🏻
I will keep the ridged for the wet messes. I plan to install it throughout the whole house. It should perform great because it’s made to handle a 10k sq ft. House. The suction is insane on this machine.
Nice set up! I hope to get my house sold, and buy a bigger place to build a nice shop or two! Then I can get my video better and more consistent. I have my dust collector on the wall but never got it fully set up.
You still liking this vac? I'm thinking about putting it in my van. It has soft start which will be good for running on a generator, especially when running a air compressor at the same time. I was looking at this one and the Vacmain UV150CKP which has the same specs at this but its $30 cheaper and comes with a 50' hose (which makes it substantially cheaper). But the Nadair has soft start and it will look soooooo awesome in my van hahaha.
Great video, inspiring… Beats my vintage 6hp craftsman that I swear makes 110db. It’s like a jet engine is running while I’m working. Pair that with an air compressor running while using a tornador velocity vac and you better have ear pro on.
do you loose any CFM or suction by going 50ft on a 1.5 inch hose instead of a 2inch?. Even my 6 HP Ridgid shop had a performance loss when using the smaller hose compared to the 2inch. I will say that 2inch hose is pretty heavy.
That is awesome looking! I wonder how it compares suction-wise to the VacuMaid GV50PRO.... Sense you can use it without a bag, does that mean you can suck up water with it?
Not sure the suction comparison but no water with this one. The bag situation with the vacumaid was a deal breaker for me. I would hate to have to change bags as they would fill up fast and you would have to also be conscious of what you are vacuuming into the machine.
would you do a review or talk about quality of - OVO Compact and Powerful Central Vacuum System, 550AW? What you may or may not like about That vacuum? Thanks. looks like the ovo is bagged only?
You did mention OVO 18 l compact central vac as A vacuum option in your description bar. Have you never used one? I figure you may know about it since you listed it as a less costly option. I'm checking UA-cam for a video review of that specific OVO vacuum however I have not come across one yet. And probably Not worth saving a little bit of money with the OVO but rather spend about double and get the setup you have!@@HawaiiDetailing
Awesome setup! When you finish the house install how will you use the on/off switch? Currently the on/off switch controls one hose. When you install the rest of the house, the system needs to be ON all of the time, so when you plug a hose into the inlet (various rooms) it turns on automatically. Other issue is when using other inlet ports, the system needs to be fully closed for full suction....so the hose connection in the garage must be closed otherwise you will get low suction throughout the house. I've been trying to figure this out for my setup unsuccessfully and hope you have an answer. Love all your videos! Thank you
Hey Paul. I have good solutions to all of this for sure. I am working on that project real soon and it will be part 2 of this video. it will cover everything you need to make this happen at you house. Stay tuned and that’s for watching.
Seems like you could install a smart switch in place of the standard light switch to power from a smartphone. You can also look into remote controlled blast gates for woodworking dust collection systems.
Excellent review! just one thing, can you add the link where you got the vacuum hose attachment, i like it and everything i had found so far looks like a toy attachment, the one you have looks like it can take the abuse. Thank you!
Thanks. I don’t have a link. I have had that thing forever and never replaced it. I plan to go down the attachment rabbit hole soon and find some good ones.
So I broke down and got my vacuum unit. But however I am having a very difficult time in trying to find the fittings to pipe it to the reel. Seems like none of my hardware stores have anything I need. Could you please if you're able to, itemized the fittings you used. Exactly what style of piping it is, and where you purchased it from. I don't need the Run pipe dimension, just the fittings to and from the inlet and exhaust and on the reel. TIA! (I tried to email you from your website but would not work for some reason)
Is there an attachment you recommend that will allow me to reach to tough areas between the left side of the drivers seat and the door? There is a small patch of carpet that my current vacuum attachment is just to thick to go into the area because of the seat frame. There are other areas in my car too that I really could use a smaller attachment for my vacuum. Thanks
Looks great, I’ve been looking to upgrade my vacuum for awhile now, still running the Rigid. Been eyeing the Vacumaid Garage Pro. Your vacuum seems to have a high pitched squeal when it’s running, does that get annoying or is it only noticeable in the video?
The small sound you are talking about is actually coming from the hose on the Cocreel. The air ripping through it makes a slight high pitch sound but it is not loud or a problem. The mic I use is very sensitive and made it seem worse then it is I guess. The vacuum itself is extremely quiet. The hose that comes with the machine is silent without that sound but I really like my Coxreel for the garage and it’s so minor I don’t mind. Hope that helps.
Love the setup. I purchased the same unit and reel. Having an issue finding piping parts in my area. I originally purchased the 90 degree elbow in your link that has the threaded end for hose which fits nice to the reel. The issue is the outlet of the vacuum is 2". The plan was to find a 2" outlet piece that would have a threaded end for the 1.5" hose. Not having much luck. I may have to hard pipe like you did. Where did you purchase the piping from and did you have to paint your piping or did it come grey? Thanks for your help
Update....issue resolved. Found an adapter piece at Home Depot that I modified and used as a bushing on the vacuum inlet. Bought 2 swivel threaded elbows that you had in your description and used a piece of the flexible 1 1/2" hose.
@@mnjshuve please tell me what part you bought at Home Depot! I’m in my garage researching like a mad man trying to find a way to fit 2” vac to 1.5” reel
I used a normal 110 wall switch. There are some creative solutions like a remote based on off wireless etc. That way you can turn it on and off without being in the van. Thanks for watching
@@HawaiiDetailing oh good, I didnt realize just a 110v switch would work. You know, I bought remote outlets and was planning on hooking this vac into one of them but thinking about how this normally would have constant power then cut on/off via the low volt makes me wonder if it might be bad for it to turn on/off through the main power connecting and disconnecting. Do you happen to know if the low volt is left in the on position then cutting the main power on/off, does it still soft start?

I want you to feel good about your purchase based on your personal research so you get a model that meets all of your needs and arrives with all the specs and features that you are expecting. My review on this machine was as thorough as I could be but I have no idea what the other vacuum manufacturers claim or what kind of results they produce in comparison. Sorry that all I got and I hope that helps. Thanks for watching the channel.
That is an awesome looking setup! 👏
Thanks. I like it a lot.
Did you buy the Vac only? I'm thinking about this vacuum for my mobile grooming trailer. Mainly I would be vacuuming hair but I also use garbages for clumps of hair.
Vac only is a great option for sure. That’s what I did.
Love your channel, thank you for sharing.
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it
I so want one. Is it all that? Was there any others that u were also considering? That thing is sharp!!!!!!!!!
Great video. I had not heard of that brand before.
I like it. Great machine and no bag. Just dump it out.
Nice set up! I hope to get my house sold, and buy a bigger place to build a nice shop or two! Then I can get my video better and more consistent. I have my dust collector on the wall but never got it fully set up.
Thanks. I appreciate it
You still liking this vac? I'm thinking about putting it in my van. It has soft start which will be good for running on a generator, especially when running a air compressor at the same time. I was looking at this one and the Vacmain UV150CKP which has the same specs at this but its $30 cheaper and comes with a 50' hose (which makes it substantially cheaper). But the Nadair has soft start and it will look soooooo awesome in my van hahaha.
This vacuum is really nice. Best vacuum I have ever had. Thanks for watching
Great video, inspiring… Beats my vintage 6hp craftsman that I swear makes 110db. It’s like a jet engine is running while I’m working. Pair that with an air compressor running while using a tornador velocity vac and you better have ear pro on.
Hahahaha. I know what you mean man.
do you loose any CFM or suction by going 50ft on a 1.5 inch hose instead of a 2inch?. Even my 6 HP Ridgid shop had a performance loss when using the smaller hose compared to the 2inch. I will say that 2inch hose is pretty heavy.
Love the video so much information. Do you think it is powerful enough to use two hoses at once while detailing?
It’s pretty strong. Not sure about 2 hoses at the same time. If any vac can it’s this one. Thanks for watching
Great set up! Have you ever looked at pneumatic vacuums? They are crazy powerful and use no electricity or moving parts.
No I have not. Will look into it. Thanks
What adapter did you use for the hose?
Did all of the rigid hose nozzles fit the cox reel hose?
I dont have one but can look into it. Thanks
You did mention OVO 18 l compact central vac as A vacuum option in your description bar. Have you never used one? I figure you may know about it since you listed it as a less costly option. I'm checking UA-cam for a video review of that specific OVO vacuum however I have not come across one yet. And probably Not worth saving a little bit of money with the OVO but rather spend about double and get the setup you have!@@HawaiiDetailing
lmao i love how he cracks up at himself great stuff man
Thanks for watching
My vacuum is the one down at the car wash. 😑 That's my next upgrade along with a tornader air blower tool.
Looks great how are you liking the vacuum till this day any issues u ran into?
Works awesome. I like it a lot. Easy to empty, powerful and quiet.
Looks awesome.
Thanks a lot
Thanks for sharing, love it, but you didn’t talk about cost 💲 of this vacuum?!!
I don’t know the current cost. I put a link in the description if you want to check it out. Thanks for watching
u can change that adapter with bissell so u do deep clean so eazy :D
As always, good vid bro.
Thanks a lot.
@@HawaiiDetailing Can't wait! Thank you!
Seems like you could install a smart switch in place of the standard light switch to power from a smartphone. You can also look into remote controlled blast gates for woodworking dust collection systems.
Can you show how you did the wiring please? I have the same setup and I’m trying to use my cox reel but it only works with the Nadair hose.
@@HawaiiDetailing waiting for part 2 :)
@@HawaiiDetailing Thank you sir
So I broke down and got my vacuum unit. But however I am having a very difficult time in trying to find the fittings to pipe it to the reel. Seems like none of my hardware stores have anything I need. Could you please if you're able to, itemized the fittings you used. Exactly what style of piping it is, and where you purchased it from. I don't need the Run pipe dimension, just the fittings to and from the inlet and exhaust and on the reel. TIA!
(I tried to email you from your website but would not work for some reason)
Heat up the correct PVC fitting with a torch. Slide it over the reel fitting. It will cool and harden a perfect fit.
Awesome brother will try it!!
It’s a good one especially if you want a piped in solution for you whole garage or house. Thanks for watching
Nice setup!
Thanks
Working on this setup now. I got the reel on eBay for cheap, but came with a different hose. Any idea what the hose is that Cox uses? Thanks!
Sorry. I have the one that came with it. Thanks for watching
I have the Bissell garage pro. Where do I connect the low voltage wires on my unit?
I don’t have that unit. I have mine on a switch like in the video. Sorry.
Thanks
I have been looking for a good one. When I find it I will mention it in a video. Thanks
What kind of switch are you using for your low voltage on/off?
Standard 110 switch
Where to get that hose reel? What size vacuum hose? I think it’s awesome.
I have links to everything in the description. Thanks. There are 2 types 35’ and 50’. I have a 35. Either way is nice.
Love the set up but $700 for a hose and reel is too much for me, do you have any cheaper alternatives
I will look into some. Thanks for watching
@@HawaiiDetailing thank you!!!!
Were can I buy that grey vacuum hose in this video? Thanks
It comes on the reel.
What size pvc did you use? Seems like 1 1/2, but I wasn’t sure
Sorry man I mis read your comment. Its all 2"pipe
Thanks for sharing your update. I was looking into how to help you resolve it. Thanks for watching. Enjoy that beast of a vacuum.
@@mnjshuve please tell me what part you bought at Home Depot! I’m in my garage researching like a mad man trying to find a way to fit 2” vac to 1.5” reel
Hey man, I'm fixing to pull the trigger on this vac and run it in my van. What kind of switch did you use for the low voltage wires?
@@stephenwhite5444 Did you find a solution for a remote low voltage switch?
Does this thing suck better than a string shop vac? If so I’m sold!!!!
It has a lot of suction for sure. Way more than a shop vac.
