I actually like the stiff safety because it's difficult to put it on safe but pretty easy to take it off safe. I bought the M&P .22 mag about a year and a half ago and the BG 2.0 this last week and the safety is pretty much the same way on both. Something else I found strange, like you every video I've seen on the BG shows it shooting left and low so I figured I would need to adjust the sights😅 out of the box. Turns out my particular gun has the rear sight to the right and the front to the left so I'm going to shoot it before doing any adjustments
🤣🤣🤣 So you're gonna be shooting to the right!!! I ended up having to use a 2 lb ballpeen and a steel punch! It wasn't working with my brass punch! We'll find out if it's right in the next one. How do you like the 22mag?
@mikeyachk Lol! Well the sites are only a tiny bit offset so I'm thinking they'll either be right on or only need a slight adjustment. The M&P .22 mag is ridiculously fun! Probably my favorite range gun of all time, it's stupid loud and the capacity is over the top! Nothing not to like about that! 😁. Can't wait for your next episode 😉
I'm not sure if I got the sights in picture in the last video but it's such a small adjustment to one side or the other that most folks wouldn't notice. Pair that with the short sight radius and... well you saw lol. I just looked and it looks like I couldn't get the rear sight perfectly centered so I matched the front to the rear.
I have a Bodyguard 2.0. Like yours. I bought it to replace my Ruger LCP Max, which I hated. The bodyguard 2.0 is a big improvement over my other gun. However, it has had some problems. It shoots to the left like yours does . I have not had time to try to adjust it. The biggest problem was that it had problems feeding blunt tipped bullets such as Underwood Extreme Defenders and some hollow points. I found the problem was there was a tiny ridge at the top of the lower feed ramp and the bullets would catch on it. I ground off the ridge and polished both ramps. I no longer have feeding problems. Could that gun be using a controlled feed system and that is why you can only feed it from the magazine?
So now it's a sample size of 2! Thanks for pointing out that blunt nose issue! I'll be doing the same with mine. I haven't really taken any time to look at the feed system yet but that's a very strong possibility. I kinda think it might just be the springs are overkill but I could also be very wrong. Just tried to flex the extractor... could only move it about .5 mm. I'll give an update on it on the next video.
Hey brother Mike. I am new to your channel Sir. And so far I am enjoying the videos. Keep them coming buddy. I do own the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 .380 acp & I love it. Now to me mine feels like it shoots to the left, but again it might be just me. I only own it now for less than 3 weeks. Great video and review Sir. I did have some malfunctions using some Fiocchi Defense Dynamic 90 Grain JHP, but I did use some more different ammunitions and they worked just fine. You got yourself a new supporter here brother Mike. I would appreciate support as well buddy. Thanks again!
Welcome to the show! Yeah, mine is hopefully going where I want now. My guess is that it's not just you pulling to the left. Pretty much everyone I've talked to and seen on UA-cam has the left biased issue. However, one of your fellow viewers has a right biased sight picture lol. It's like s&w heard about the issue and overcompensated the same amount.
@@mikeyachk Is crazyyy LOL. But overall I love my Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0. I mean I am not getting rid of it at all. That thing is here to stay. Keep those great videos coming & I will keep on supporting Sir!
I once had a Smith & Wesson M&P shield Plus. It had the same safety as the Bodyguard 2.0. It was very hard to manipulate just like the one on the Bodyguard 2.0. I sold the M&P Shield Plus and bought a Hellcat instead. If you know how to loosen the safety on the Bodyguard 2.0, could you tell me how to do it?

My bersa 380 I had to adjust my rear sight lucky for a screw adjustment
That sounds much easier. I'm not a fan of using hammers on my tools.

Just got off the phone with S&W. It indeed is direct feed from the mag. Said it can run into issues, as you saw, with seating completely.

I found that mine wasn't completely seated and was able to press on it a little to get it correct.
