For once they dont instantly take out the " poking screwdriver" to hunt for rust holes in a 90s BMW. Many E36 are rotten away, many E39 are only still good because people look after them more...

Another very cool e39-touring tastefully good on European roads along with the Canadian - Speed-Academy project the best possible transformations for such cars !
It's like the car guy version of those shopping and unpacking channels. Extremely satisfying to watch and you end up 10 videos in when you had only planned to watch one and then you wonder where your day went.
The most important thing is that it keeps us e39 owners inspired to overcome challenges of bringing our bimmers back to life and keeping them in good condition. Because their numbers are going down every year, and sometimes I drive for weeks before I see another e39, and even then most of them are saloons as opposed to my touring.
Project Rottweiler finishing strong. Thanks for always giving us your best, Sreten. You never fail to satisfy that restoration itch. Project Rottweil looks amazing after all that tender, loving care; great job! I hope your nuptials are going well and that you’re having a great time. Take care of yourself, and we’ll see you on the next one, my friend.
The only problem I have with Sreten's videos is that every other restoration channel is nearly unwatchable for me now because they never have the same level of attention to detail
Honestly mate, I’ve been watching UA-cam for over 8 years, I watch so many different genres, but this channel is the best & my favourite, I’ve followed you since 2018 and watched every single video without fail all the way till the end. I look forward to every one, thank you for creating amazing content for us all, enjoy your holidays! 😊
and of course that does not include the man hours in the bill! It's like when you watch some of the beautiful restorations on Car SOS, then imagine what the actual cost would be to a regualar joe, I often imagine it must be in the high 5 figures...
Its not that you are amazing when it comes to working on your cars but you are also amazing when it comes to editing, I don't think that there is any other youtuber that can make me enjoy watching a video for over an hour and then ask myself "its already over??" awesome work Sreten!
Sreten, I think your channel motto should read - " I have a very specific set of skills - I'll hunt down certain BMW's, Find them and restore them". Again you have hit this one out of the park and into the new car Showroom. !! Fantastic- Love watching you do these restorations.
The attention to detail is just something else. It really looks like a new car. From an era when BMWs were indeed superior. What a lovely thing. Amazing job.
Absolutely worth it, they don't make cars like this anymore. In 10-20 years it still be on the road and you will be happy as the first owner when it came from factory. Timeless cars!
Sreten we really are spoiled to be able to share the satisfaction of finishing your projects, without having to put in any of the long hours you put in to doing them. You're work is unmatched, please keep doing what you're doing. Big congratulations on your wedding too, all the best.
What a finish that is. This car looks almost brand new ! I mean you should bring it back to the dealership. Saler would say : “No way this is the same car.” I’m enjoying every project but this one might be the one I’m the most hyped. You came from so far and just look at the result ! Sreten, you can be proud of yourself because I guess we all are. You definitely are the BMW magician !
Very nice to see someone go from a novice at paint correction to working for and achieving professional results, arguably better than people I have seen who have been doing it for years. You have great technique, but more importantly you possess the patience that deters many people from properly correcting paint. Props to not only the folks who taught you, but you as a person. Great work.
This series inspired me to get a e39, in fact my first BMW. Don’t have the Sreten’s knowledge and skill but you are definitely inspiring a lot of us into rebuilding how we can these cars and showing us how to properly do it . Thank you
I have to say, i am not a TV guy, but since i started following your videos on youtube, i have been since constantly waiting in anticipation for each and every episode! what you do is simply artistic, professional, skillful and majestic. It just really describes my approach to my stuff and of course including my cars. super amazing how the E39 came out, i think it deserves way more than the cost you endured as it is simply a piece of art that is absolutely restored to perfection. Wishing you all the best wishes and congratulations, hope your wedding is epic Sreten!
Not surprising, but as a car designer, and a kid who's formative car years were in the 90's/2000's, the E39 holds a special place in my heart. Thanks for doing such a great job transforming another one from rough to clean. Great work!
i would love to see the reaction of the people of the used car dealership this e39 was bought from sitting at the back of the lot waiting for someone to buy it or for the day it was going to go rest in pieces at a scrapyard, totally unreal transformation and restoration
U probably heard this many times, but the amount of work you put in these cars is insane. I hope you are able to get enough rest in the day as this is much work. Wish you all the best man and keep up the amazing work!
17 min into video, and it literally pains me when I think how much work this is. I call myself BMW enthusiast, but Sreten is simply on another level. And that level is light years far from mine, lol. The dedication he has is mind bogling.
It looks like it drove off the showroom floor, or actually even better!! What a labor of love!! This is more like a collectible than a daily driver. Congratulations on an amazing result!
It seems the title of the episodes could draw in viewers as well. Most people love a rejuvenated car from a wreck. I agree, sreten deserves more viewers for the quality of content. Cheers
Seeing the before and after at the end I couldn't help but smile, easily one of my favorite videos. Owning an E39 myself and trying to build it up over the last couple of years, this is the most relatable content for me so far.
You say that it’s too nice to drive. I’ve never understood this sentiment. We make cars beautiful so that they can be enjoyed and driven. Cars are meant to be on the road, and unfortunately are at risk from this in so many ways. But it’s the gathering of pictures, places visited, moments with loved ones on wonderful trips, from long vacations, to a midnight coffee or burger & fries run (you can make it vegan if you wish), that build beautiful memories with that car… that loves to be driven. Yeah, I’m anthropomorphizing a machine, but all the little things cars ‘tell you’ along the way are fun to think that the car reminds you to fix or maintain something it needs, along with its hope to discover new places. GO DRIVE!!
I have not gone through the sea of comments but it would be funny if you took the car back to the dealer who sold you the car and show me what a beauty it has become. Beautiful and unbelievable work as always! From a “just gonna fix some stuff so I can use it for daily driving” to “it to nice to take it out and get it dirty!”
The joy of a new video🎉 I'm taking care of my neighbor's dog and they have an F30 in their garage, so as the mad BMW fan I am I crawl under and clean the under body, I can't help myself, it's so fun cleaning and checking out all the cool under body components!
Sreten, a bit of advice on the Rupes. The rubber ring between the machine has the tendency to let the machine stall very fast. You can remove it and take a bit of dust or horizontally cut it in half so it won't rub on the disc below it.
Been watching this entire series, the first one of yours I've caught in full. I have a 540iT '00 with a 6 speed swap and a 525iT '01 with a factory five speed that I'm turning into a 530i. Got a lot of inspiration from it. P.S. Sell stickers, I'd put some on my wagons :)
This looks sooo good! Excelent work! Easily the best E39 driving around in every aspect! If that was 17K euro I can't imagine what the ALPINA number will be...!
You’re an absolute legend, wish I’d known about you when I was getting rid of my e39 touring, I’ve still got the headlights in my shed! Never would have thought the unwanted dealership car could have turned into such a beauty. Congrats on completing all the hard work necessary to save it!
Absolutely spectacular Sreten, this one is very special. So much hard work but clearly rewarding both for your satisfaction and our viewing. Well done Sir.
I had two of these a 525d in the same colour as yours & a fantastic 530d. I’ve regretted selling both of them. The 530d was brilliant, powerful but economical. Great project & loved watching you bring an E39 back to life.
Just watched this right through again Sreten; such a superb project and it really makes me miss my previous Japanese import E39 530i Sport touring I had here in the UK... They're such a well put together, all round car and on fresh suspension and decent tyres, they handle/drive superbly... It's one of the few cars I regret selling!
Absolutely fantastic, it's great to see someone take so much pride in their work. That's the great thing about this channel, everything is done so well. It's definitely one of the best automotive channels on UA-cam. No doubt about it.
Baffling, just baffling. I one day dream about being able to do anything close that you do, currently I own a 2003 530i sedan, and I'm slowly working on it trying to do preventative maintenance, only thing is money. But even though I still try to make the most out of it and try my best. I absolutely LOVE watching all of your videos, as they push me to not be afraid of simple maintenance and teaches me about my car that i previously knew absolutely nothing about. I hope to see a lot more videos from you in the future. Keep doing what you do
You are a beast sir Streten, BMW should make you chief engineering for all the BMW plants. And last not least, a big statue in München for you. And i don't understand why you still don't have at least million subscribers, you're very underrated and much much more subs.
I had my E39 headlights refurbished /also upgraded to facelift ones as my car is July 00, so just before facelift - now I no longer wonder why they didn't feel right from the start after I installed them.. Further more - the right one stopped moving up and down, stays down all the time, perhaps the motor went off. The left one - that one is funny, goes up when car starts and then goes down, or stays up - has his own way of working. Very funny to drive with rain at night and both headlights to "fall" and give light output of about 3 meters in front of the car. Well done on that part and on the entire car of course, turned out amazing!
Impresive, I just watched the whole Rottweil series and you made me dream about restoring a BMW. You deserve making a living by doing this and enjoying such amazing vehicules.
I picked up a bunch of PDR tools in an attempt to learn a new skill. Started working on my truck bed for practice. I consider myself pretty handy but that is a skill/art that is way more difficult than I ever imagined. Under $1000, this dude got one hell of a deal.
Theres nothing like an e39, love what you do Streten, I have owned an e39 (1999) for years and absolutely loved it until some drunk driver in a van smashed into and drove off, the car was written off and I’m missing it so much, just firing up the 6 cylinders and hearing that unmistakable sound is heaven, i must get another, this final episode was remarkable, what a car , Thank you 👏👏
What a project, what an efforts and work! You can easily conquer the whole of the world if you want with this patience but you choose to repair my favorite BMW. What a man...
To cut BMWs hard paint on a DA get yourself a Rupes Coarse Wool Polishing pad (the one with short fibers). It cuts really well. I've managed to get my X5 concrete-like pait corrected in two passes tops 👌 Also, look into getting a lake country pad washer, after two solid cutting passes your pads are already getting full of material that you're taking off. You are probably blowing it out with the compressor off-camera, but the pad washer is just a game changer. Great work overall 👏
I have been following you from Spain for a long time, you are a professional and you do fabulous things. Congratulations genius, if one day I visit Germany again I will visit you
Thanks for taking the time to show us this paint correction stuff! I think doing this on your own and with limited time forces you to make the same executive decisions we might make, like going with a rotary polisher instead of DA while monitoring temps.
I'm refurbishing my E87 headlights now and as these are sealed with permaseal too I'm glad you went before me and shared the procedure. I guess that manufacturers really want to make sure you can't repair these parts.

All I can say is: S P E T T A C O L O ! 🇮🇹
What an amazing transformation! Sreten, you're a wizard 🪄
No doubt about it.
as someone whos worked as a car painter i am very impressed! I definitivly need to learn PDR for my own cars
Great work as always man
Baffling, just baffling. Keep doing what you do
A beer well deserved Sreten! The E39 came out amazing! I especially love when you do headlight retrofits, it's probably my favourite mod to do!
Glad Im not the only one who spent arround 20 k Eu on regular E39 :)
Alright, sleep time postponed!
This is how insane amounts of effort, patience and love for a car looks.
You are a beast sir Streten, BMW should make you chief engineering for all the BMW plants.
And last not least, a big statue in München for you.
And i don't understand why you still don't have at least million subscribers, you're very underrated and much much more subs.
It seems that you are developing a car-detailing addiction and I can totally understand - very satisfying!
Who ever buys this car must be very lucky….The amount of work you put in Streten….simply the best work…
I had my E39 headlights refurbished /also upgraded to facelift ones as my car is July 00, so just before facelift - now I no longer wonder why they didn't feel right from the start after I installed them..
Using the rotary really made the paint look like you added another layer of lacquer on it, that is true show room condition🙌
Impresive, I just watched the whole Rottweil series and you made me dream about restoring a BMW. You deserve making a living by doing this and enjoying such amazing vehicules.
the guy doing the dents is a master of his craft
I picked up a bunch of PDR tools in an attempt to learn a new skill. Started working on my truck bed for practice. I consider myself pretty handy but that is a skill/art that is way more difficult than I ever imagined. Under $1000, this dude got one hell of a deal.
Haha I did the same, "how hard can it be?". Turns out, very hard...
I've managed to get my X5 concrete-like pait corrected in two passes tops 👌
Also, look into getting a lake country pad washer, after two solid cutting passes your pads are already getting full of material that you're taking off. You are probably blowing it out with the compressor off-camera, but the pad washer is just a game changer. Great work overall 👏
Useful tips 👍
I have been following you from Spain for a long time, you are a professional and you do fabulous things. Congratulations genius, if one day I visit Germany again I will visit you
Thanks for taking the time to show us this paint correction stuff! I think doing this on your own and with limited time forces you to make the same executive decisions we might make, like going with a rotary polisher instead of DA while monitoring temps.
I'm refurbishing my E87 headlights now and as these are sealed with permaseal too I'm glad you went before me and shared the procedure. I guess that manufacturers really want to make sure you can't repair these parts.
I wouldn't be surprised if BMW themselves made contact to thank you for looking after their brand so well!
