- Unboxing the Google Nest Hub Max, including setup and a full tour/review of the best features. We explore the new wide-angle camera, sound quality, Google Assistant features and every inch of this 10-inch smart home display.
The Nest Hub Max is a bigger and much better version of the original home hub, now with a webcam for Duo chats which also doubles as a security camera. Two far-field mics offer responsive voice control, else you can use that enlarged 10-inch 720p HD touchscreen to play video and more. You can also use this Google smart display to stream your photo slideshow, play music from the likes of Spotify and UA-cam Music, and loads more besides.
After unboxing the device, we show you how easy setup is via the iOS or Android app (Google Home). We then show off the design and take a closer look at the audio quality and that wide-angle camera. With face recognition, Nest security features and gesture control, this is a great addition which adds a lot of great features - and you can shut it off if you're concerned about privacy.

I've had the 7-in version since it came out and I have no complaints. The audio is better than expected and the screen is great for what Google provides. However watching video on it (though it could be better) is perfectly fine. Thank you for this review!

How would you compare the speaker quality of this in comparison to a standard Google Home?
The Nest Hub (non-Max) has audio quality comparable to a Google Home Mini. Would you say this is as good as a regular Google Home? Better or worse?
The sound is way better on the max. It has a subwoofer in it

Nice! Have u reviewed Lenovo Smart Tab M10 or P10? If not would be interesting to see your honest review of those? Tablet that double as smart display! Would also be interested to know if it can work as a photo frame to display photo from Google Photos App?
The sound & screen quality on this vid doesn't actually do the max hub a lot of justice, but it is exactly as good the guy says it is.

Some useful basic info. I did find it a little hard to keep up with the talking speed lol.... but living down under an English accent made it harder . Maybe a tiny tad slower i would have picked up a bit more.... would like to hear re smart features and devices that can be used with it?

You can do group calls on it.it has that feature also it's in the settings.just swipe from the right

It seems like it's basically the Lenovo Smart Display with the ability to recognize your face.

Hi, good video. I've set mine up and as I've said before it really feels that this is an unfinished product. The lack of abity to tweak a search manually by text in UA-cam is so painful as the results are so inconsistent. The lack of Netflix blows. Other than that it's OK. The duo calling is pretty good. Gestures are basic but good. Sound is good. In hindsight a docked tab with Bluetooth speaker is better but doesn't look as good. To use the phone to get better results and cast is a sticking plaster of a fix and highlights the poor performance of this device

Hi.my mum is disabled and she can only use voice. I’m struggling to find a solution to contact her in the care home. When you video called yourself you tapped the screen to accept. Could the max plus answer the call with voice ?
I would also want her to hay google call Donna? Am I asking to much.
Also if I set it up on my phone and leave the device with her, will it work on WiFi without my phone being present?

In the kitchen, I love having a smart display now - playing music/videos, setting timers, chatting with the folks while cooking etc. Definitely not for everyone though
Fair enough. I take my iPad -kitchen garden bed or while taking a crap lol... Pretty much same thing. Tablet for bigger screen & smartphone if you don't care bout screen size. As I said might be old as I don't really see the real benefit of this sorta device.guess it's for making every corner of ur house -smart. Cheers for answer. Great vid as always!

In my opinion, the most important thing that should be on these screens is monitoring home cameras, and for some reason this function is not there.
I wish we could web browse on it by typing on screen
