- A learner driver on a mock test did good drive but failed for silly mistakes. This learner his driving test coming up and decided to do a mock test. It was a good drive but failed for 3 serious faults and some minor faults. One serious fault was for approaching a roundabout and failed for avoiding undue hesitation, meaning there was no vehicle coming from the right and free to go but still stopped. Second serious fault was for not checking right blind spot when moving over to the right to stop on the right. And the third serious fault was for getting 4 minor faults for not checking rear view mirror before braking which turned into a serious fault. If you keep getting minor faults too many times on the same subject, it will count as a serious fault as it shows you have a problem on the subject.

Undue hesitation at a round about? Is it wrong to stop and watch before moving?
The purpose of roundabouts is to look early and see if it’s safe, and if safe then you shouldn’t stop. If safe and you stop anyway then the purpose of roundabouts are not followed. The rule is not followed.
If safe and you stop anyway then what is the point of roundabouts. They could of put traffic lights there or stop sign. Roundabouts means give way on your right, and if safe and there’s no one or a safe gap on your right then don’t stop. That’s the RULE of roundabouts.

this should only be a minor, not serious.. but It really depends on the examiner.
Thanks for your video. Why does the driver keep using the hand brake whenever he stopped?
I think he was applying the 4 seconds rule(anywhere you will wait for 4secs and more, apply hand brake).

What do you mean , when you say he got minor mistake because of not normal driving position?

He probably was driving in the middle of the road
Minor means not serious fault(can't get a fail fr that). Normal driving position is left side. Even if you overtake, always find your way back to the left side of the road.
What was wrong with his driving position? After traffic light. Was he going towards the curb? Also..Thanks for the quality content brother!

When reversing two car length sir do we do it on one roll or we first reverse one car stop check all round and reverse 2nd car? Thanks

Its quite long hesitation stop thats why is considered a serious. The marking sheet for serious mistakes is very tricky and quite unfair. 😳
