My Honda Big Red 250 was long over due for a clutch replacement but when I opened up the clutch cover I found much more!

Did the bike sit with no oil for along time ?
I’ve seen bigred sot for 20 years in a field and never seen clutch’s do that

I would say at some point it was sunk, and they left milky oil in it for too long

I seen a couple 250s engines like yours sitting outside for 10-20 years and never seen rust on clutch plates.. i’m wondering what caused that
