Haha didn't realise they had such a tiny motor. Have resisted getting my kids one just yet but I got loads of old motors kicking around from my RC days which I could harness!
Sorry for the likely silly question, but does this damage the leds and speakers? just got one for my son, and am thinking about upping to a 12v already.
this wont work for me though... have motor... yes... may take more voltage... yes.... but all the LED lights and speakers and other electronics including the remote control receiver... all those a balanced for 6volts.... 12 volts will kill them all
Also what is the battery non-splill because it's for kids and the fuse so it won't damage the whole thing in case the project backfires? Idk I dont think this is how you do this conversion.
This happened to me thought it would be a good idea to use an 18v battery on a 6v motor. The motor lasted about 5 minutes then started smoking and ceased to exist after that
Hi there, I have a Mercedes GL450 electric car for my son but it doesn't seem to have a receiver for a parental control. He's too young to drive it himself so I need the control for it but I'm not sure how to connect the receiver to the battery or if that's even possible??
Going to try upgrading my nephew’s 6v bumper car to a 12v. Now that he’s bigger. Hoping it works just as great thank you for the video!

What result would you get using an old style 6v car battery? (80ah)
advice on upgrade 3-FM-4 (6V4AH/20HR)? it takes two of them, will one "bigger" battery do the trick?

2 hours run time is tremendous. My 6 volt dies after 15-20 minutes.
Where did you get the battery from and does it charge just like the original one
Do you have to do any conversion before you set the 12v battery ?
You did this upgrade without an added fuse? Catch on fire yet?
Sooo did I miss the part where you have to change the gearbox from 6v to 12v because wouldn't a 12v battery burnout the 6v gearbox??
Fact bro

Do you think you can do this for a 12v to 24v?? Or would you need to upgrade the motor?
Can you use the charger as normal and plug it straight Into the mains the same as before ?
before reading comments imma say it will add more power need a different gear or motor if u want quickness
Is the charger same ?
What was the brand of that battery
Won’t that burn the motor out? 😱

The battery is a 6V. The wider thinner type...
Chiptuning :D
Where did you get the battery from?
anywhere, Walmart has them where I live
Did you use the same motor?
Yep was a 6v one and still going strong
@@Cjrelectricaldon’t know if you will see this.. but how long did it last and was there any issues?
@@vFLAWLEZZ no issues ever kids grew to big for it.
Motor won't last long burn it out
Did it blow lights up or radio by putting 12v through it
Nope still working to this day
@@Cjrelectrical and all you did was change battery bay and fit 12v battery in no changing wiring etc
@@KEITH070880 Don't try an 18v...yeah. Just don't lol.
Will it burn motor out
No been going strong for months now
you will burn the motor
