Can I use a Bluetooth phone connection for my music NO RADIO.... and also can I use two 4 channel amps to this DSP... I HAVE FOUR 6.5 ON A 4-CHANNEL AMP ALREADY.. AND I WOULD LIKE TO ADD A SECOND 4 CHANNEL AMP FOR MY HORNS AND TWEETERS... SO CAN I RUN BOTH AMPS ON THIS DSP?
You still need a head unit. This only has 4 output so you could do it but you would need to use rca splitters then you would lose your individial control over each channel. It would be better to get the stetsom stx2848 DSP amzn.to/3rQIH8i Or the expert Px8.2 connect amzn.to/3LjYFQ8 They are 8 channel to give you full control over 2 4ch amps.
@@HiFiVector ok thanks but no matter if I go with the other two you said I will still need a head unit correct no matter what....I cannot just use Bluetooth to play my music
@@medina8050 correct because the DSP still needs an input signal thru its input RCA's. You may be able to find a bluetooth receiver with rca output maybe? Not sure how well it would work though. Like this? amzn.to/3EPsVzV
Hey man if I have a universal bass knob do I run the rca output of the dsp to the input of the universal bass knob and the output of the bass knob to the amp input.
So is the individual channel level control where you would adjust your line output rca voltage to an amp from? And if so does the master volume control all channels as a whole from zero to whatever the max voltage you’ve for each channel or does it override the individual channel settings?
How to install? I don't understand how to splice into stock speaker wires (stock head unit) to tap into this DSP but then reconnect the DSP outs to the stock speaker wire.
You can use wire taps if you don’t want to cut any wires. You just squeeze bthem with pliers over the factory wires and the new wire so it joins them without having to cut. Here is a link. amzn.to/3I5zOkb. Or this type : amzn.to/3vhkZUg
It depends on what you are doing with it but yes. It has so many features to "fine tune" your sound. It is not a digital bass enhancer like some of the other ones out there that try and add bass to music artificially. But with the extensive EQ on these as well as the insane crossover section you can really tweak the crossover type, roll off and EQ settings to dial everything in. It gives you a LOT of control especially if you want to increase or decrease specific frequencies. I will never go without one again. For approx $120 its so work it in my opinion.
I bought this hoping it would be great but I believe somethings wrong with mine and sadly its out of warranty. Used it a couple of times and it was neat then suddenly every time it powers on now I have to reset it and go through the steps of reconnecting my phone.... and now (reason im watching this video trying to figure it out) after resetting it, has no audio at all.
@@HiFiVector I am wondering if I should get the Bluetooth one or not.. I am playing my music through Bluetooth via head unit so how would that work? Can I tune it when the music isn’t playing ??
If you need to use one single RCA output for a dual input amplifier yes you can use a splitter but you will just lose your stereo separation from left right
I purchased one of these for my Harley but I have no clue how to wire this up, Best I can tell it goes in between amp and head unit but don’t know how to hook up the output since there isn’t but one output?
It has the standard L & R RCA inputs. Then it has 4 outputs. you configure those outputs in the app. So you can have them setup as you like either MONO, or stereo. You just assign whether the output is mono, left or right output.
@@HiFiVector I’ve hooked up several stereo systems but first time using a dsp and I’m by no means professional at this, one thing I noticed is there’s no lights at all on my dsp when I hook it up to my system is this normal, my system works when I don’t have the dsp hooked up but as soon as I hook it in I have nothing?
When you have the power connected to this particular DSP the only light you will see is the Bluetooth flashing light which is blue. So basically after you get it connected and you have the app downloaded you should be able to connect it to Bluetooth via the app and then go from there.
@@HiFiVector maybe that’s why I can’t get mine to work because I have no flashing blue light on mine at all , I even connected it to my ground and hot side of the battery and still not flashing, wonder if I got a bad unit?
This would be very cool if you had a head unit that you can download apps and use this directly from the head unit...
Just found this thing.. I'm so glad you reviewed it.. be just rite for my set up
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching.

Wow. I have the larger stetsom dsp and I like it but it's just a pain in the ass to adjust different parameters. I might just give this one a shot

Yes that’s correct

The main rca in overrides all the individual channel outs. So set the main rca input first then adjust individual channel as needed.

You have to use this with an amplifier because the outputs are RCA’s.
So my question is. Why the hell didn't it do a 5 or 6ch? That way u could use as a fade along with sub out? Then this would probably be a complete dsp
Can you hear the difference with a DSP and without one?

Absolutely!! I ran just 2 6.5s 2 super tweeters & a single 10 & it’s definitely cleaned up the sound as well as give the speakers individual clarity
@@dutchiethaboss did you use a Y connector for a+b output?

Sorry to hear, could be something with phone bluetooth compatibility or maybe the DSP is just bad. Try and contact Stetsom for troubleshooting.

Try 0000 or 1234
Thanks for the video. I bought this for my subwoofer, and that will be my only output. Do I just put 1 of my amp rcas into output 1?
If your amp has 2 inputs you can configure out 1 and 2 to go to your amp.
Hi. Did you use a rca splitter for the A+B output per channel? Thanks
If you need to use one single RCA output for a dual input amplifier yes you can use a splitter but you will just lose your stereo separation from left right
Does it introduce any static or hiss to the lines..?
No none
wish there was a video on this DSP , thanks for showing but still doesnt make any sense.
Your phone or tablet
Watch his other videos on the expert , this will work the same but this one is 100% on

No they are not
