Hello I have 3way speaker component speakers on all 4 doors with their own crossover, how would I go about setting the frequency for them if I use the dsp? Would the dsp be fighting with those other filters?
Hey this is a great video but I have a question, how would I bypass the crossover settings on my amplifiers if the signal is being tuned before it reaches the crossovers on the amp, wouldn’t the crossover settings on the amp affect the already tuned signal ?
Yes, that is why you leave an amp on full range mode (if it has a switch). If it has knobs, the HPF should be all the way down to 10hz and the LPF should go all the way up, 20000+ Hz.
So I guess a 4 way crossover doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg after all. ... I wonder what could I possibly build with a 4 way crossover however... Specially one capable of up to 48dB/oct filtering ... 18PT-8, L18RNX/P, RS52AN-8 and 27TBFC/G?

You can eq at this point. Then a preamp/eq (but flat youll use dsp eq) Only use the preamp for the main volume and sub level. Thats what i think i would go. Im open to suggestions
You can have subwoofer input. You just won't have stereo sound. (Inputs A and B can be routed independently) But, it's easy to add a bassknob from the rca coming out of the dsp going into the amp. Plenty for sale out there.

You would need enough amps or channels from multi channel amps to separately power each component. You will not be using 4 outputs from your radio, only 1.
So can i use this as a cross over? It comes with 1 input which comes from the radio right? Then i can run 6 outputs (left and right , 3 channels) to my amps that control my bass, mids, tweeters and still control the frequency for each channel?

If you don't want to have stereo sound you can certainly do that and use the routing feature to separate the two signals. However I usually recommend an RCA bass knob in-between the DSP output and amplifier input.
I have an upgraded stereo system on my Harley, would this DSP serve well? I just don’t know where i would mount it and have access to it for changes. Thanks for the video.
Hey man I really appreciate your effort on doing this video, just want to ask one question about how many band can you change on parametric EQ per channel thanks

The head unit has 4 regular speaker outs and a sub out which I have connected to an amp.. but so far I've only connected 4 of my factory speaker up for mids send highs.
Hey tim, i have a question. Correct me if im wrong. Should i leave my amps on full/ hpf all the way down & lpf all the way up ? & let the dsp do all the work ?
I just purchased a dsp 2.4. I’ve been getting that extra noise from the speakers and the hum do you have any idea what this could be. I brought a ground noise filter but it didn’t work
If its a low hiss, that is white noise and you will get that. You can combat by lowering the MASTER GAIN in side the DSP or using less gain on the amps but you wont get rid of it 100%. If its a hum noise or engine noise there is interference somewhere else in the system.

You think this prv dsp would be good choice to add to my sytem? I also don't have a after Market radio I have a line out converter
The DSP is great for any system, big or small. You can use the line out converter with the DSP also! It is great to add to a factory radio and aftermarket amplifier(s).
You only use the input for the signal coming from the radio. You only need 1 rca set coming from the radio, forget the rest. The 8 outputs go to the amps.

Is it me does the face look soooo much like the Stetsom STX, both brands built by same company or these companies using same casing from 1manufacturer?
Don't really understand the question. There is more to tuning your system than just what PRV provides. PRV provides a recommended high pass filter. This is only a recommendation and not the final answer. The low pass filter is up to you. Everything else is up to you.
How do u set low pass and high pass on a midbass speaker with the dsp and a equalizer do u set the eq to the middle or all the way down when tuning trying to set ive set mines sounds good at first but then after a few songs I can tell I have to constantly adjust it what's the best way to tune the dsp for mids I use preset on the driver
Hi good evening, hey I have a quick question, I just yesterday had a dsp installed in my truck the sound is totally amazing but is there anyway to stop the speaker noise I’ll hate to have it taken out but the noise is crazy
You can have left and right using A and B individually. A+B is mono. If you want to "fade" you just need to lower the output gain on the side you want to hear less.
@@12voltfever so if I choose A to OUT1 and connect that red/white out to a 2 channel amp, I should be able to still use balance on the head unit? I feel like each OUT1 - 4 has a red/white out but not really a left/right channel?
Does this bandpass? Do they make a 6 in 8 out? Am I not understanding how this works? I have a 4 channel and a sub amp. 6 rca total. I'd like to control each speaker.
Can you help me please , those remote out secuencer what exactly is it for. And how many volts do I need to run this processor thanks bro. I subscribed already.
A and B are not the crossovers. Those are the inputs. This video applies 100% to the 2.4x. On the 2.4, one hotkey button programs 2 outputs instead of just one.
Yes ... More like from the sequencer to the remote on the amp. It will turn on the amp. Watch that part of the video a few times I explain/show very clearly how it works 😎
How does it sound? I have a $300 audio control dsp that sounds horrible. I have hissing and pink noise in my tweeters. And sometimes one side is louder than the other. I want to replace it soon.
How comes they only have a single rca in or out per channel. A/B 1-8 single. Will this require Rca splitters then due to most Front/Rear/Sub outputs are 2 rca channels. Does this mean Channel 1/2 would be considered 1 output to the amplifier due to this?
For the input you are only going to use one pair of RCA. Full range LEFT and RIGHT. For the output, if you really need 2 RCA for your amplifier (a 2 or 4 channel, for example) then you program 2 outputs exactly the same and use the 2 outputs for that amp/channel.
Not sure but UA-cam didn't seem to care. You can use whatever music you want in your videos you just can't monetize on those videos that contain music with copyrights.
So heres a better question about running both 4ch & mono off of this. Since im running passive crossover front an back. Couldnt i just use Ch A for my 4ch. Set the same crossover for all ch on the 4ch. Then Ch B can run my mono amp with its own crossover?
No because then you would be missing L or R signal. That's not how it works. You also don't run passive crossovers AND active. You're just complicating things at that point. You don't need passive crossovers with a DSP.
You simply use the individual outputs and tune them for whatever amp/channel. If you're needing L and R then you specify A or B on just those outputs you need to split the signal. On the mono you would use A+B.
@@12voltfever im not running passive and active. Just passive front door an back dash. So that why i was wondering. So wouldnt a y split for ch A an B for each amp work? I have the Soundqubed S4 100. All i need is 2 inputs to run all 4 ch. Part of my thinking as well.

The DSP needs a full range signal at the input.
Awesome 👍. How many sets of RCA cables do I need for this DSP?
depends on what you are connecting to it
@@12voltfever like 8 speakers and 2 subwoofers
@secularape I have 5 amplifiers in total. 2 monoblocks and 3 four channel.
Are you able to fade left and right on the 2.4x? The options seem to show A, B, A + B to OUT1. A + B is supposed to be a MONO signal correct?
You can have left and right using A and B individually. A+B is mono. If you want to "fade" you just need to lower the output gain on the side you want to hear less.
@@12voltfever so if I choose A to OUT1 and connect that red/white out to a 2 channel amp, I should be able to still use balance on the head unit? I feel like each OUT1 - 4 has a red/white out but not really a left/right channel?
Where does the remote wires from the dsp run to? Do they go to the remote to the corresponding amp?
Yes, from the sequencer 1,2 and 3 to your amps remote input.
Os possible use the preamp eq with out problem, and do not use dsp eq?
That's what most people do. I don't use the graphic EQ inside the DSP
What is the actual maximum input voltage that should be coming in from the headunit please?
There is no specified maximum input voltage ⚡
@@12voltfever how do I fix my 2.4 dsp my input 4 won’t let me change from 24 hertz
@@MALIBUCISTOMS315 you have the Hpf and lpf backwards , double check.
Does this bandpass? Do they make a 6 in 8 out? Am I not understanding how this works? I have a 4 channel and a sub amp. 6 rca total. I'd like to control each speaker.
You only need 1 pair of RCA on the input. Each individual output is bandpass for each type of speaker you are connecting to that amplifer.
What you think about the expert electronics PX8.2?
Awesome review!!!
Do you think this is better than the Taramp?
Nobody really uses the Taramps because it is not better than most others. So in my opinion, yes.
Are Taramps, Stetsom, and PRV made in the Same factory ?
They are not. The Stetsom and PRV yes, but Taramps no. The Taramps is inferior.
Thanks bro.
Hope you enjoyed it
Can you help me please , those remote out secuencer what exactly is it for.
And how many volts do I need to run this processor thanks bro.
I subscribed already.
@@dago1983able did you watch the video? I explain the sequencer in detail right at the beginning of the video.
@@dago1983able it's a 12v product.
Can you set A and B with the 2.4x?? For example I have 4 6.5s and 2 8s. I want to crossover the 8s a little Lower
A and B are not the crossovers. Those are the inputs. This video applies 100% to the 2.4x. On the 2.4, one hotkey button programs 2 outputs instead of just one.
@@12voltfever ok so If I put 2 speakers and 2 tweeters on one output I won’t be able to cross them over differently on the 2.4? I’ll need the 2.8?
Bro in the sequencer.... the remote wire from the amplifier goes into it?
Yes ... More like from the sequencer to the remote on the amp. It will turn on the amp. Watch that part of the video a few times I explain/show very clearly how it works 😎
So will this work good on a harley davidson with 8 speaker???
Yes this will
How does it sound? I have a $300 audio control dsp that sounds horrible. I have hissing and pink noise in my tweeters. And sometimes one side is louder than the other. I want to replace it soon.
White noise usually comes from the amplifiers. This will not cure that.
Any experience with the Dayton DSP-408? IS this one of the better options for a DSP under $250?
For the price of this DSP you really cant beat it. It is so much more simple than those other overly complicated DSP also.
Need help tunning this 2.4
Bro ,why my processor doesn't turn on ,I see the input select on on red light but the DSP screen not on what's happening can you help me thanks.
Might be a problem with it contact PRV for support.
@@12voltfever thanks a lot.
If you have a left in out 1 and a right in out 2 going to a monoblock amp for a subwoofer would you set lpf in out 1 and hpf in out 2?
You need to set both outputs exactly the same
Does it compensate for bass roll off?
Not sure exactly what you mean. The unit has high pass and low pass filters. You decide where the bass rolls of, or doesn't
@@12voltfever my factory radio (21 accord}) reduces bass as the volume goes up. Some dsp units compensates for that.
Dose it give the vibe sound or echo sound
It does not give any sound effects.
Uuhm does the toco song not have copyright?
Not sure but UA-cam didn't seem to care. You can use whatever music you want in your videos you just can't monetize on those videos that contain music with copyrights.
However I am glad to know you watched the video that far to see that. 😎
So heres a better question about running both 4ch & mono off of this. Since im running passive crossover front an back. Couldnt i just use Ch A for my 4ch. Set the same crossover for all ch on the 4ch. Then Ch B can run my mono amp with its own crossover?
So since i got a like. Is that like saying yes?? Lol
Maybe ill just put this on my mono for now an buy another one for my 4ch is what it sounds like your saying lol
Any good setting on mids(mr) for the dsp
