Honeywell T6 - Lockout - Pin Recovery
1. Take Thermostat off
2. Look on back of thermostat for a 4 digit number
3. Add 1234 to 4 digit number
4. Enter Code - Навчання та стиль
If you have a 2022 thermostat, add 1235. The +1234 doesn't appear to work on the 2022 batches. Date Code + 1235. Good luck.

Nothing is working for me. And the number on the inside is 8 numbers long???
Oh my goodness! I have been locked out of my thermostat for over a month! I have been using my phone app to control the temperature setting. I called Honeywell only to be told I would need to call a different number for a subsidiary...been calling that number over and over and each time the recording says the wait time is over an hour!
I finally had that 'aha' moment that says....just You-Tube it!

Thank you so much for this video! Called the AC company and they told me to shut down the power for ten minutes and turn back on. Nothing....they wanted to send a tech but instead I googled this and it saved me a small fortune from them coming. I live in Florida and cannot be without AC. Thanks again!!!!

HERO! I could not believe it when it worked for me! I was delighted! I can hardly wait to pull this out. It might take years before someone I know mentions a thermostat lock out, but I can wait! 🙂 I will eventually let them know the truth...YOU are the hero!

Brilliant! I just bought an open box/returned Honeywell T5 Smart Thermostat and it came locked. This trick shown here helped me unlock it and kept me from having to return it!

Is there a way to reset the pin? We are installing 100+ for a new apartment complex and each building has a mix of pins (3170, 3168, 3162, etc.). We'd ideally like to have every thermostat with the same PIN.
TBH - Probably not a good idea to put pins on the thermostats. That is going to cause a lot of headaches for residents. Yes, you would need to factory reset thermostat to add a new pin.

Wouldn't take a genius at honeywell to confirm the PIN before locking, or asking for confirmation that it will lock and that there is a PIN. I moved to a place and testing out the options locked some of it. Luckily there was a clever person who still figured a relatively easy reset method so thanks for that, but just a question before locking would have been nice. Mine didn't show the PIN as in this video, selecting lock then partial immediately locked me out.

This process is for WIFi thermostats. I intentionally requested that I would not have a wifi one. The process for the non-wifi is keeping it on the wall and the code is 1234 and then select. This is unlocked the non-wifi version. Thanks for your video!
