@@mria621 I didn’t see any geodes in the banks. Yeah I know there’s good agates in this creek but you probably have to go a ways away from this access point. A side by side or good 4 wheel drive would give you a better chance at getting further in to find them. It was definitely still a fun day.

If not I would love to meet y'all and show you some awesome geods and coral, plus some tree roots that can be found in that creek along with fossil shells. @@JnVrockhounding Jeff, I’m not giving them up without a fight! I keep my gifted rocks separate from bought rocks. Each of y’all gets a designated shelf. Once I can afford a second bookshelf, I will set up a much better display area in my office.
@@OperocksLiz definitely a gorgeous spot. This creek is a couple hours from us but our home county is gorgeous too with so many waterfalls and gorgeous scenic spots. Thanks Liz.
@@OperocksLiz oh there’s a train you can ride down to an old shut down coal mine that they turn down into an exhibit too. They do seasonal themes like polar express during the winter. Plus look on fb for Cumberland falls and yahoo falls and princess falls, just to name a couple of our spots. McCreary tourism on fb too.

There is this old saying and it is 'beginners luck' and Vicky has that I love all the rocks and fossils found on that hunt It is not always about what was found but being out in nature doing something you love I enjoyed the rock hunt
