So to thank you all, I built a display to showcase all these treasures and take some time to show a ton of these amazing gifts! I cannot thank you all enough for your generosity and support! Bro you have so many amazing treasures from around the world... all of it is super cool. That was a good idea to build a display shelf for it all.
The first stone is Serpentine mixed with agate veins from Vermont, 2nd stone is Vermont serpentine, the material I called Petrified Wood i found out is actually called Barite Pseudomorph Crystal (has a cool orange glow under black light), that one that you mention that you think it’s a fossil is a Geotized Brachiopod from Kentucky (the line on the top is a line I drew on there to cut it open so the detailed face of the brachiopod is preserved safely.) If you cut it open you got to send some pics or a video, I’m curious what all is inside.

My 10 yr old nephew just came over and is now watching agate dad...and luvin it! He's a mini mudlark and has a very good eye!

11:13 looks like fluorite
I agree
Fluorite is pretty soft. Best way to identify is a hardness test. One of your agates will scratch it if it's fluorite. Purple and green are common fluorite colors.
@@RockhoundingLife It's the cleavage, and colour scheme (natural green quartz is extremely rare, while I agree, green and purple fluorite is common) on that particular piece that make me think it's fluorite. But you're definitely correct, a hardness test will tell for sure too.
@@thirstfast1025 I personally don't rely on cleavage as much as hardness and color to identify a rock unless the crystals are large and definitive. There's no better initial indicator for mineral ID than hardness IMO.

Very amazing gifts...and awesome display.
You should get some acrylic risers from Amazon so the stuff in the back can be seen! You can either get stair-step kind, or just U-shaped, depending on the width of the board. The only downside is the dust. Your shelves look fantastic and I loved seeing all your pieces!

Man what I like about this is it’s like a shelf to display the goodness of people and also something to look at and remember who you’ve had an impact with. I really like this man.

Very cool stuff! But if I could make one recommendation... install a 3/4 inch strip of wood under the front and back edge of each shelf, to help support the weight of your rocks and to reduce sagging of the shelves over time. ;)

Wow that’s an amazing display of rocks from all those great rock calendars that you’re subscribe to. I yeah those shelves look like there might be room for some lights to put some little LED strips on the bottom of the shelves make them look cool. Yeah I’d like to see more of the flat lapidary machine making cool stuff. So far I’m into making cabs and tumbling rocks. Thanks for the great video.

Amazing earth finds. Awesome people who share with you so me fabulous pieces. I'm new to the UA-cam world of rockhounding. I'm learning about all the places I want my feet to explore and gather some of the wonders of the earth. I have a nice collection from local Idaho areas but I would love to have from all over. I have my bucket list building. Expense wise is all I'm waiting for to get it started on expanding my collection and discovering. Thank you everyone for sharing and the education behind all these pieces as well. And the creative ways to show off our earth's wonders.
I am also planning on sending you some petrified sharks teeth from Florida. I think I will wrap them in wire first so you can hang them on the shelf so you can see them.

Nice shelf beautiful treasures and interesting info. What a great backdrop for your vids indoors! Another below thinks you should go up to the amethyst mines! Thunder Bay area is so pretty too. When the weather gets nice it would be a fun drive and not so far for you. It's my birthstone and the purple color is heavenly.

I would love to see you go to Thunder bay and go hunting amethyst. There are lots of mines up there where you can pay to dig and it is a real blast. And you aren't all that far away! Plus everyone who loves Superior should see the sleeping giant and learn the folklore of the big lake. Going on that trip with my parents was probably the best vacation I remember when I was a kid.

That gray and white fossil is cladopora. It looks really good slabbed.

Love the kindness you have for everyone who shared there finds with you my man it looks great and I know everyone appreciates it and the white on the little agates I sent is common opal from what iv been told.

Great idea for a display. We have things displayed literally all over the house lol. As for the small stuff we also use jars but they are old antique cork bottles and glass vases. Really love how you built the display.

I watch all of the ones you've told us about, I think gravel bar hopper finds some of the most beautiful agates I've ever seen

Convoy C8 is the best one I have found also Unique Fire 1408 is the one Don used for awhile. C8 on ebay or from Eric Rintamaki also sells . He is the guy that started it all and also has a youtube site. Make sure they have filtered lens, not clear. Like the show keep it UP

just a heads up if someone hasn't already. put a divider 2x4 in the middle of each shelf to help hold up the shelves. eventually the weight will bow the middle. been there, done that. otherwise looks good man!
or 2x6 or 2x8. whatever you used to build

It's all so awesome and I'm sometimes so jealous of all the lovely rock and crystals that you guys get to find in your country. I live on a small island in the Caribbean and don't think that I would be able to find any of that stuff here, not to mention that if I was to go around walking up and down gravel roads and digging around, people would probably think Im insane🤣, especially if up come up empty handed. But I have found fossilized coral, every now and then, so I should still be thankful.
