Only one more of the main Assassin disicplines to go - also I thought I should bother to say that when I said about Necrons using Pariah - I meant that in the historical potential context - and within the idea that the Pariah Nexus is using the Imperial concept of 'pariah' being anti psyker, even if its not actually using physical null invidividuals. If you enjoyed please Hit the like. More new stuff coming soon guys APPRECIATE YOU ALL
Thank you for all of the effort and polish you put into your content. I am always so happy to see new videos from your channel. At next April first he need to narrate CBT
"They are a terrifying threat to us, therefore the stupid mon-keigh should exterminate them!"
Whilst ignoring that pariahs are like the perfect counter to chaos which constantly threatens all of existence. As usual, Eldar arrogance knows no bounds
Have you given any thought to what something like a null may do to the warp? What it may be doing to the reality around it or the people? We don't get happy endings in warhammer. Thats always been obvious. So i ask this: if a null were to damage the void of the warp to destabilization, as is most likely the case seeing the boiling of psykers near them, where do you think the gods will go? I can tell you the answer wont be "away" so the only other answer so far is "our own reality." So are the eldar ignorant or are they right in seeing a threat that some in the very inquisition would turn against humanity to put themselves up as over ruling gods? Selfserving? Or a deeply disturbing look at what a null psyker can actually do to our very reality around us? I dont know. I hate eldar. I do but when someone like them admits to feeling fear for a lowly mon-keigh i have to wonder if we may be missing the entire point theyre trying to make
@@sinwithagrin4243 Those were lots of questions.
I disagree with the picture you paint about pariahs completely destabilising the warp. They probably do something like that in a very small area around them. You seem to be suggesting they could potentially make the warp not exist or atleast no longer be able to house the chaos gods or something. No, nothing can evict the chaos gods from the warp and probably nothing is strong enough to kill them, let alone permanently. I dont mean to offend when i say i find your theory ridiculous which makes answering the next question kind of moot, but i will anyway: real space is anathema to creatures of the warp. If im not mistaken the lore actually states that the greater the demon, the harder to manifest it in reality yet even the lowliest forms require complex rituals and tons of sacrificing. They still cant stay here long without even more rituals or the warp spilling into reality to sustain them. I think it is generally agreed that nothing can make the chaos gods actually manifest because it takes too much by astronomical margins.
Regarding the eldar opinion on pariahs, i think it is disgust mostly. They probably abhor them from the core of their being. And yes, i also think it is fear. But not fear of them destroying the galaxy/the warp/something, rather fear of being in their vicinity. They probably think a death by animus speculum is something straight from their worst nightmares
@@sinwithagrin4243 Considering enough blanks turned off the flashlight a literal god has to main because everyone else dies if they use it, i would call a huge win to make the inmaterium so f up chaos god have to take physical form because if they are in our reality and cant go back to the warp they can be killed if big e can be killed in human form so they can.

Why do people always says pariahs are unfeeling psychopaths? There is nothing in canon to support it and it wouldn't make sense anyways.

@@Monstrous_Delta If I had to make a guess, the sisters of silence may not be affecting it because they are containing something almost at the level of what the emperor is holding at bay on the golden throne. The reason it doesn’t affect the astronomicon is simply because there is a limit to nulls and whatever it is, is soaking up all their “null energy.”

The picture of Malcador at 8:59, how the hell have I never noticed that the arms of the throne have two skulls, both with numerals on the forehead. II and XI, the numbers of the two lost legions, possibly the Primarch's skulls? That's such a neat detail.
The skulls look too small to be primarch skulls. But good eye, hadn't noticed it either!
@@paulkouk6629 Yeah it's most likely symbolic considering that Malcador is the one who performed the damnatio memorium on both legions.

Humans enslaving Eldar women. Heretical but not impossible.
@@johnrockwell5834 Rwoboat want it's eldar GF.
Love how the eldar believe human nulls are disgusting, considering these nulls could, potentially, result in the destruction of the chaos gods
Because its basically a necron biotech psychic jammer. Its the equivalent of a living psychic nuke and it also cause problems in most regular humans too plus pisses off all the powerful sorcerers and sanctioned psykers of every race because it literally eats them like Slaanesh.
I love how 21st century humans think nukes are off limits considering these nukes could, potentially, be used to win wars instantly.
@@TheGallantDrake not a good comparison. blanks aren’t common or usually powerful enough to straight up kill or maim the eldar so their utility far surpasses their danger. A nuke may end all wars yes but that’s bc you can’t fight a war if there’s no one left.
It’s actually more accurate to compare psykers to nukes given that 90% of the problems in 40k are a direct result of people using psychic powers

honestly it's actually kind of sad to think of some kid orphaned by there parents trying to survive in a hive city all alone while being hated by everyone.
Imagine having a migraine for years after child birth and you realize it actually is your kid's fault. Then you kick them to the curb. It's brutal lol
Sure is a good thing the Imperium has somewhere for those kids to go, huh?
The Emperor Protects.
Just like Naruto 😅😃
Honestly given how they are portrayed in any the novels I have read, it's a miracle they survive at all. 40k is not a nice place and a person that causes every one to hate them at a look... wouldn't live long. And that is the low end of the Null spectrum, the stronger their power the more people hate them. You can only assume it grows as they age, other wise every null would likely die at childbirth as the mother smothered her own baby.
A weird thing about Pariahs is that the distasteful feeling is distance related, not interaction related. It's easy to have someone walk into a room and shift the mood when people see them. Imagine a centrally located elevator in a 100 storey skyscraper, and a pariah rides it up from the basement to the top floor at dusk, then back down to the basement at midnight.
People living there would experience general distress at those times every night, and they wouldn't have a real reason for it. Over time, dusk and midnight would become "cursed" times in the building, sparking legends, blame, and attempts at curing the "Doomrise." That seems like an interesting setting for a short story.
It’s called, “clinical depression.”
@Thraxraganharapollyus having a proximity related unsettling effect on people who don't even have to be in your line of sight?
Whenever people debate about who could kill Lucius they never bring up a cullexus. They would erase his soul and not have to worry about being taken over cause the warp doesn’t affect them.
In my opinion, Lucius should be lured and then trapped in a pocket dimension of Trazyn, win win for both humanity and Trazyn, and slaanesh will be pissed
By this point Lucius is more Warp then man💀
@@AbhisarRawat Lucius has been killed by a Necron and the Necron ended up in his armor. Being inorganic or incapable of feeling don’t seem to be a problem.
I remember theres a story where Sharrowkyn killed him and didnt end up falling victim to the Lucius effect because Sharrowkyn was just so much better a swordsman he felt nothing beating Lucius but boredom.
You have to feel pride or satisfaction for Lucius's curse to work, Sharrowkyn just felt mild annoyance he was slowed down for the minute it took him to kill the traitor.
Lucius was later resurrected by Slaanesh anyway, but thats at least one occasion where someone killed Lucius without falling victim to the curse.

You know Cawl could not resist experimenting with a Pariah Primaris Marine Chapter at some point.
he did manage to give his one prototype marine high level psycher powers, I can't imagine it'd be that hard for him, especially with his study of necron tech, to go the other way...maybe make a bunch of null primaris to stick in the lamenters
You mean make his own sisters of silence same way he attempted to make a custodian.
Unfortunately, geneseeds are psychic in nature so space marine pariahs without breaking the lore are impossible
@@user-unos111 I realize that the primarchs were grown with the warp involved but I always took it as the gene seed used for the marines wasn’t, it was a stabilizer for the extra organs and the overall process. Who knows though either 2 or 11 could have been a pariah which is why they were erased.
Gotta love how the warning lights started to flicker maniacally the moment Aladrios looked at the Culexus temple wrong and he starts pondering like it's such a big deal and not simply because, as an Aeldar, attacking A PLANET OF PARIAHS was not a bad idea
I thought about it differently. Maybe by destroying the temple it would lead to a reality where humanity would eventually destroy the Eldar. Maybe the nulls are holding humanity down, or maybe as Luetin alluded to at the end, the culexus may cause the ultimate destruction of the Imperium. By sparing the culexis, humanity would not be able to come for the Eldar.
@@mr.stealyomemes1393 Have thought about it before as being the Culexus is actually gonna be a key force for holding back Chaos and the vision was the result Aladrios picking off the Culexus and removing the wrench from the cogs of Chaos. Chaos goes rampant and catches up with Alaitoc and other craftworlds and thus, causing it's demise.
ThyddyBeer that’s a cool theory too. Who knows!?
@@mr.stealyomemes1393 It would be a cool, underhanded joke about Eldar pride and arrogance if it were the case
@@thydzz2180 Yeah, the underlying premise of the Path of the Eldar books is that, by trying to avoid bad futures, farseers can actually make their futures worse. They can even turn mere unlikely nightmares of possibility into devastating self-fulfilling prophecies. `
I honestly feel that the blanks the eldar feer so rightly are also the biggest deterrent for daemons and thier ilk.
As heretical as it sounds, if the Eldar and Imperium, maybe Tau(assuming they aren't totally brainwashed) as well allied up, they could do some serious damage. But that's some dreaming
@@TeddyOG The eldar, human, and T'au fit each other's weak points well.
Humanities' zeal. However, we are short-sighted and sort of barbaric.
Aeldari's wisdom and psychic prowess. However, they are few in numbers and repopulate slowly.
T'au technology. However, they are still small like the eldar, lack certain aspects of tech like warp drives, and probably need something like an older sibling species to keep them from being taken advantage of. Remember the drukhari!
To start with humanity: Humans are easy to work up into a fervor, pointed in a direction, and be told to attack. A human driven by passion (and sometimes fear), can pull off many amazing feats on the battlefield. Combine this with the fact that we breed like rabbits~... There isn't a shortage of human labor and arms. However, we are incredibly short-sighted and our technology tends to evolve rather slowly (or retract in 40k times). Humans benefit greatly by getting better awareness, psykers, and politicians from the eldari, and they get much better tech from the T'au.
The eldar make up for the short-sightedness of humanity through their use of wisdom and foresight. They can predict problems well ahead of when they happen, and can simply point at it saying "Oh look, an ork war boss!" Combine this with the fact that their psykers can train our psykers to simply, hopefully not explode. We will have better psykers. They may make better politicians as well, as they are very monk-esque and practice restraint, so they will be harder to corrupt via chaos or money. Eldar benefits greatly from human and T'au 'meatshields.' As insulting as this sounds, humanity is better off being called a meatshield, and at least being aware of the oncoming threat. Imagine knowing what your enemy is going to do, and you have a massive regiment of billion of guardsmen.
The T'au can build better weapons by this point compared to the Imperium, but with many exceptions at some points too. T'au basic infantry weapons and armor is what I am looking at, as it offers great range, firepower, accuracy, and protection compared to the standard Imperial guard equipment. I prefer the looks of Imperial guard kits. T'au benefits by spreading their greater good, focusing more on the improvement of their technology, humanities protection, and lots of 'cultural exchange' with the other two factions. ;D
These three factions teaming up seriously would allow them to beat every other faction if those ones teamed up. It is basically, "quantity has a quality all on its own," but now turns that quality quantity just has quality.
Tl:Dr this new faction has everything.
@@septicsauce322 and tau weapon absolutely useless against tyranids
Eldar are right to be cautious, they can literally eat the light of the astronomican, and feeding anti psychic pulse weapons when most societies in 40k rely on psychic prayer/worship as an actual logistic and resource is like relying on doomsday weapons to prevent doomsdays. More to the point, the imperium like all its supporters dont really think too much about how hard it is to actually read a blank's mind so having a mistreated outcast have so much power to disrupt that is very dangerous. Its like a living psychic EMP generator. The fundamentals of the mutant's very nature amidst psychically dependent societies like the Golden Throne and Orks make it disruptive to everyone else and if the faction goes rogue or accrues enough power and influence in secret it would be a huge problem for every psychic species created by the old ones, not just eldar and some humans. Its also not totally sure if they aren't genetically programmed necron sleeper agents
@@murder1625 No weapon is useless against Tyranids, save those they have adapted to resist. The Tau have fought and repelled Tyranid incursions before. The only reason they lost a world to the Tyranids was the scale of their warfare, not their technology; the Tau simply do not heavy grinding attrition, and the Tyranids simply cannot be halted by anything less, no matter the potency of the guns arrayed against them.

I'm pretty sure a blank can kill an eldar just by standing near them. The eldar are psychic beings after all, so I wouldn't be surprised if an organ or two required psychic powers to function. Imagine if your kidneys just stopped on you.
If I may have a nerd moment. The Sisters of Silence's null field probably doesn't have the same effect as the Pariahs did on Terra because Luna is 281,000 miles away from Terra. That's greater than the diameter of every planetary body in our solar system COMBINED. Even by 40K standards the idea of a null field having that great of a range is pretty ridiculous. Nevertheless, that hasn't stopped the Highlords from finding any excuse to rid Holy Terra's moon of "abominations" and have even covertly funded assassination attempts on the Order's Luna facility.

A mechanicus wrote this
@@reginaldsafety6090 as someone who plays Xbox this shouldn't be an issue, there are only so many ways to rid your body of salt
I’ve always kind of viewed pariahs as a natural evolutionary response to psykers, it makes sense to me that as more and more psykers show up in the galaxy, that there would be something to counteract that, and kind of balance things out, a predator that evolves to hunt a very specific prey so to speak
There was something similar in the Sword of Truth series. D'Hara is a land ruled by Wizard-Kings of the Rahl line. An ancient Rahl cast a powerful spell that would always ensure that there was a child with the Gift (of magic) to inherit the throne. The cost of this spell is that some of the other children would essentially become black holes of magic, a lot like the blanks/nulls of Warhammer 40k, though only those that use magic can sense that there's something off about them (specifically that they can't see the spark of magic in them that resides in all living things). Rahls tend to have a lot of bastards. If there was more than one bastard Rahl with the Gift, the more powerful one would inherit (being the target of that ancient spell), but the point is that these blanks were not concentrated within the People's Palace.
Because they would _always_ pass down this trait to their offspring, this had the potential for pretty catastrophic effects in the long term. And did I mention that that magic spark is what connected humans to the afterlife in the first place? At first, when the Rahl line was less... cruel, they were banished to an area around which there was a magic barrier made of the underworld (basically Hell). It became its own small nation (that was completely isolated from everywhere else). Those that came later would simply hunt down any blanks and kill them. The seventh book in the series majorly shifted things by having the POV characters not be any of the established characters, but rather a couple of these blanks. One of which's mother went into hiding after the previous Rahl had raped her and left her pregnant, not wanting her and her daughter to be hunted down.
Spoiler for how the main character resolves the issue in book 11:
Worse than this was that, after the events of the fifth book, an ancient curse meant to cleanse the world of magic was released and was slowly wiping out all magic. The main character ends up using an ancient, magical artifact that the previous Rahl had attempted to use in the first book that effectively made him all-powerful for a very short period, with the ability to reshape the world as he saw fit. He used it to banish the blanks, the curse wiping out magic, and what essentially amounted to a communist empire that sought to rid the world of magic (it was actually his wife that accidentally unleashed the curse, not them) into a new world (canonically, Earth). He didn't want to banish the curse and the blanks to the new world with the communist empire, but it was the only way to preserve magic in his own world. This was a particular bit of irony, since he was born in Westland, a nation that had been cut off from all the other nations with a barrier of the underworld in order to be free of magic after a particularly devastating war involving magic had concluded not long before he was born.
I'd like to see a situation where Tseench (or similar) invades the imperium, and all hope seems lost, where the Highlords of Terra finally are truly terrified of the daemons, and then the culaxis arrive as a last-ditch effort to shred the powerful deamons apart.
Anyways,
Thanks again, Luetin! I love your work.
I think Luetin is Malcador reincarnated. Love your content!
Such a beautiful nightmarish creature.
Love these guys.
my favorite assassins! i've been waiting for this the episode so much! I wish you could do more on them, ahhh so cool, great job!
Ah, yes! This will be what I sleep to today. Thanks LT, I was spoilt for choice!
My nightly ritual too!
This is the video I’ve been waiting for. The writing makes Culexus Assassins seem incredibly powerful, which they are.
Great entertainment. The level of quality in this man's work is unrivaled.
40k never sounded better.
I was just about to go to sleep, and behold nightmare fuel!
Luetin, love the videos, binged them all in just the last few weeks, been getting sucked into lore. Been wondering if you are considering doing a video specifically on the Koronus Expanse?
Funny enough another though to the Eldar's sight of his craftworld dying if he destroyed the Null Temple is perhaps it would unleash the pariahs on the universe? Think about all the time and effort that goes into collecting the Pariahs across the galaxy. And like many Imperial systems how many die in the process?
Remove that and suddenly you'd have dozens if not hundreds of Pariahs on every world. Possibly they might band together or some other group gains access to them. The Eldars vision of death might very well be the "infestation" being released on the world without humanity culling the heard.
Can I say without a doubt you have literally peaked my interest, rekindled my flame for Warhammer 40k, and purely just helped bring my childhood back……Brother I appreciate your videos and I will forever be a fan! Many blessings too you and keep up the great work man! ✊🏾💯
19:10 So the Emperor's bathwater is being yeeted at you?
More like moonshine made from the emperors bathwater then mixed into goo
I assumed they were throwing the Emperor's pee bottles at them.
Can you do Psykers or perpetuals next?
I wanted to learn how to paint miniatures for a board game and followed the UA-cam rabbit hole here. Couldn't be happier. Love the lore for this game.
Just finished one of the Horus Heresy audio books called Nemesis and this video really does the 40k universe justice by bringing it to life. Good job 👍
Oh new assassin lore!
...oh, new destruction of everything lore.
Every Single time when u upload a New part....its always a masterpiece to the core.....Respekt for your work....i cant imagine, how much work,Research, effort and time is in every New Video youre uploading....you are the Master in all the Internet, about 40k.....my first go to....my first choice....the true lore Master of Warhammer 40k.....just in your Videos, i can feel the Grimm dark, the Atmosphere and so on
I was just about to search your channel about Culexus assassins and this popped up. Praise the emperor!
Amazing work and narration as usual. You've never dropped the ball with these videos man, love every single one of them.
Ok, so what if we put a blank once every square kilometre. Bam, no more warp
The galaxy is 100000 light years wide
That's literally impossible
@@neon-lake ok but what if we get a lot of them right?
@@GoodVibes-nn6gb u could increase the population of the human race a hundred times and put them in a straight line 1km apart and u wouldn't even reach the half way point. Most blanks have the range of less than 10 meters
@@neon-lake ok so then we just need like, a lot more
Pre-liking because you've finally learned how to keep these shorter than a feature-length film...
Not even sh*tposting I'm proud of you brother, you do good work and it's not to say I couldn't listen to an hour-plus but not in a sitting...
Some of the longer videos are the best ones though! His 3 part series on the Emperor, 2 part series' for Grey Knights and Inquisition!
I found out about Warhammer this past year, and you have just kept increasing my interest about the lore and the universe so much! Thanks for making such good videos!
Excellent.. Driving around on a Sunday afternoon, this is a perfect companion.
Its pretty cool how G Dub imagined gingers would fare in the 40k universe
Being one of them I'd say it's self fulifiling prophecy ;)
A grenade that is basically a golden shower? LMAO.
"It wouldn't seem so funny when one is thrown at you"
Nope, still funny!
thats too mild, the true grimdark is to assume its a cum jar
@@aguspuig6615 was looking for a comment like this
Now I know why jarate works the way it does in TF 2. The sniper is of course a null, it makes so much sense.
Awesome video. You're able to take a subject I would consider boring and make it interesting and immersive. Thank you for your hard work.
Fantastic,I was blown away with this!
Luetin you are my favourite 40k lore channel, awesome stuff buddy
Can you make a playlist of all your long lore videos. I need a sleep playlist
You can make your own you know. I'm the order you want too.
he has one
Imagine a filthy alien that has been trying to erradicate humanity, warning humanity about the danger of the use of the most effective weapon against them. Nice try, pointy ears...
Eradicate humanity? I haven't seen that
@@thomastakesatollforthedark2231
Biel’tan wants to genocide humanity because they are absolutely eldar supremacist
As for others craft worlds, they have no love for mankind tho usually no interest in destroying the specie
Your lore videos are always impressive but I especially enjoy your videos on the assassin temples, thanks for your hard work
I love this channel. Excellent narration, excellent music, all around my number one stop for warhammer 40k content.
I do find it amusing that a rating of "Psi" makes you almost as un-psychic as anyone can get.
Legit question- do ALL(or most) blanks get sorted into the sisters of silence or become culexus assassins?
(One time I misremembered the sisters of silence and the kensei were one- that if the emperor tried to have kids with normal humans he could only have blank daughters who in time could only have blank daughters in time. So it wouldn't be a order of sisterhood but a sisterhood based on similar heritage. Using sign language only to keep secrets)
Most blanks actually die early on their lives because everyone feels so disgusting about them
I've been waiting for this one, thanks LT. Another I think would be really interesting to cover would be videos on each of the gods of chaos, but like I said thank you very much for this video.
Culexus Assassins were always my favorite of the bunch but ohhh boy this video made them even more cool.
Great content, good job
When is the next “worst defeats of the imperium” video coming out, if there is one? :D
So today I found out that I'm a null, makes sense
Kindred soulless.
*... Crawling in my skin... *
always happy to learn more about imperial assassins.
i think it would be a good idea to make videos about the 18(20) original legions. since there is a lot to cover, and i think it would be very entertaining to watch in your specific format.
Very nice to have another long video to listen to and focus on while i do the things i normally put off
About the origins of a Pariah as you talked, you mentioned how Erda thinks that the perpetuals are the next step in human evolution which would make sense because of the whole humanity turning into a full psychic race kind of like the Old Ones, I guess would be the best comparison. My thought on the Pariahs is the same, but what if the mutation, I say mutation cause in my opinion it would make sense that it is a gene mutation cause how else would pariahs be constantly popping up everywhere in the galaxy without it clearly being a recessive trait that is passed down from a generation to a generation? I also say it's gene based cause it would kind of clash with the psykers too cause isn't it implied they have a specific gene for it?
Anyway my point here is that, what if it has come up as a natural answer to daemons and other warp entities? Like think about it, the whole point with the nulls/blanks is that they disrupt and interfere with psychic phenomena of all kinds even daemons of chaos. My thinking in this is that the person/people who were born with the first version of the gene were born on a planet or planets where the population is in a constant fear of warpstorms and other psychic phenomena like psykers who can accidentaly cause a daemon invasion of a planet, so basically meaning the people who had the most "warp negative" souls from each generation were to survive cause they'd be more likely to survive because they wouldn't get killed by daemons or other warp entities, and over time that gene has passed down from generation to generation and the most "warp negative" survive from those generations and eventually after a long time you get the modern 40k versions like omega minus level nulls.
Just my 2 cents on the subject. Also keep up the good work, love these lore videos they are super good!
That makes sense so in a future they could eventually be everywhere
i dont see how eldar can possibly fear a culexus more than slaanesh
i would rather be completely erased from existence than be tortured by a chaos god for all eternity
well in theory the Eldar being tortured by Slaanesh might be freed if the Eldar Death God could be born.
Relaxing on a late Sunday afternoon, and a Luetin09 vid comes up... Life is good.
Thank you Luetin!
You're the best 40K lore channel out there!
