I never thought the Spirit of Eternity to be crazy. It was disgusted and hurt and betrayed, but not mad. Everything it said was rational. Insulting, but rational, and absolutely true.
it reacted how a modern human would to whatever the hell 40k humanity is, remember, the imperium is an abomination and a perversion of natural humanity, the real humans were destroyed by the emperor during the unification and the crusade
I agree with the insanity comment. I dont see how an AI can become insane. If equipped with feelings etc pissed off is a very good possibility. Lonely also but as it dosent really register the passage of time so it would just hibernate. That disgusted feeling would explain the destruction of imperium ships on its way out of the galaxy. To be insane would mean there is no point or goal to its actions. And escaping to safety from a race that wants to destroy you is the definition of sanity and preservation of itself....I also find it confusing for an AI to be corrupted by chaos. The definition of the warp implies it requires a soul to corrupt a subject. Other wise we would be over run by ants corrupted by chaos. This is backed up by the Eldar losing their souls to slanesh. If I am wrong please educate me.
I have to agree! Not nearly as badass as Sovereign from Mass Effect which is probably my favourtie conversation with an AI in all of fiction but that was meant to be basically a cosmic horror... I like that this AI isn't evil but is 100% correct to hate humans in this era
You know that ship had access to all of humanity's knowledge up to and including the full human genome. I'd like to think it went off to a distant galaxy far far away and reseeded humanity in the hopes of recreating the people it knew. That or it had been corrupted and was rambling nonsense and was just going rogue.
STC's are fascinating to me because of how crucial they must be in a world where humanity occupies multiple planets, they solve problems we rarely talk about in sci-fi!
Yeah. This is something we can totally take away from 40K and work on outside. A real project to further humanity. That's why I like these STC videos. It's not something limited to the fictional world of Warhammer 40k. It's actually an excellent idea.
As far as I can recall from the original lore, the STCs were just a DIY kit for start-up colonies to assemble miscellaneous technologies from whatever resources were locally available. Everything on the STCs qualified as 'low-tech' solutions by the standards of mankind during that period -- basically flat-pack garbage.
We modern humans can barely keep to any sort of universal standard when it comes to technology. USB-C cables might look identical but there are a bunch of different video, data and power ratings.

I like the irony of the Imperium not being able to find an intact STC because they wouldn't be able to recognize one, and they'd probably destroy it anyway due to their hatred of AI
Imagine if the "holy grail" had been found, but then destroyed because it was labeled as "whichcraft", "heresy" or "tool of the devil" or something like that.
Always love when Luetin talks about the DAoT. It's like watching the past glory of Mankind and how may never be achieved again. Like a yearning for a past that will never return
I think that AI had gone "rampant." Or whatever cause the AI wars during the Golden Age. It spent who knows how long trapped in a space hulk either watching its "masters" die or totally alone.
One thing I love about the STC lore is how it takes an absolutely ridiculously over-the-top universe and gives it a feeling of depth and gravitas. Even in a galaxy where planets explode and unreality literally creates madness, the inclusion of the STCs reminds you that there's also so much history and backstory and effort to flesh out a game that can boil down to 'my green bois shoot your bug boys harder than last round because they think they can" on the tabletop.
Warhammer was something I always felt was a boat I missed and was way too late to start... Luetin changed my mind and damn near made me feel obligated to join the ranks as a collector/player.
Leutin should be a games workshop recruiter, I've got a few people into warhammer at work through his videos. They literally laughed in my face when I told them and took the piss out of me. Now we break from work for over a hour at a time to discuss Leutin videos or whichever book we've been reading 😅
As said already, Never too late to get into the Grim Dark …. I’ve been playing and into the lore since 2nd edition, and the lore has changed many times .
Loving the short form game of boarding actions at the moment, can get a full game done in about 2 hrs (playing slow) and at 500 points you can have a few small cheap armies to play with instead one or 2 massive ones.
I just love the short phase in the beginning of the video, where its just music and concept art and one can really let the warhammer atmosphere settle in. Definitely one of my fav yters in terms of video design!
Very few things in this life are better than seeing that Luetin just randomly dropped a video. It's hard to describe the feeling. May the Ominssiah bless you, Loremaster!
Dear Luetin. I wanted to say that I really love the music you underline your videos with. Its always fitting the tone of the current scene and, in some sort of way, helps me to immerse myself deeper into the lore. A lot of UA-camrs doing longer videos really don't get this right. Keep up the good work!
STC's are such an interesting bit of lore. I love the trope of a once common item becoming increasingly rare and valuable as time goes on. STC's embody that perfectly
I always thought the reason STC were so rare was because they were sent along with the generational ships at the early days of humanity's initial expansion. Once FTL was possible, STC were no longer needed, and so they were moth balled or disassembled. This makes the search for STC even more tragic, because it's not the technology of humanity at it's zenith, but just the first stepping stone we took with us into the stars.
It was never stated anywhere that STCs were decommissioned due to not being needed. But it was stated through many sources that STCs were rudimentary AIs that took known design principals and human science, designed equipment according to their colony's need on the fly via machine learning based on it, because it's simply not possible to store all combinations of all human knowledge in any database, nor is it desirable to make such an undertaking when nearly all of these possible designs won't have a use for whatever colonial environment encountered. It was strongly hinted, but not specifically stated that the reasons that so few complete STC library remains (there were some that remain, both corrupted and uncorrupted, in different lore stories) is because since they were AIs, they can and mostly were corrupted. Specific STC templates, on the other hands, are the results designed by STC AIs, that's only data, and not a soul that can be corrupted.
Very W40ky interpretation - also, advance of FTL communication could have done the same and reminescent of today. Why have LOCAL copy, when internet is always there? :)
This totally make sense if you consider why STC are more likely to be found in remote locations. One of the reasons is the mechanicus already scoured any existed STCs in chartered territories. But another reason could be that settlements in remote areas where FTL travels and transmission were unreliable, STCs were still needed as the back up so people didn't decommission them.
A hidden human subfaction would be very cool. I’d imagine them having a huge focus on stealth tech : Cloaking fields that would be used to devastating effect against Orks and the like, stealth ships capable of completely concealing their presence down to vision itself, agents operating within the Imperium
In the grim darkness of my vacuous mind, only a luetin video ignites the slumbering fires of my interest-engine. Thank you, beneficent Emperor of Lorekind.
I love the idea of a society of advanced golden age humans with a functioning STC and AI that has cloaked and hidden entire star systems that want nothing to do with the Imperium. Perhaps they may be so powerful that a secret treaty may exist between them and the imperium to leave them alone or they may destroy Terra itself. The possibilities of 40k are endless.
Their has to be. Far from the reach of Imperium in the Exodite worlds the possibility of it existing is high due to the capability of Intergalactic coverage, I've even wonder why that sector hasn't encounter Tyranids yet knowing how vulnerable it is.
There was a very early piece of WH40K fiction in an early novel where a human planet had a fully functional STC but hid it away when the Imperium of Mankind rediscovered them
Oh leutin you beautiful bastard. I bought dawn of war 1 on a whim, I thought the space marines on the cover art looked awesome and I love rts games so I figured why not. Loved the game and I remember going to gw's website and looking at all the models and thinking they were awesome. Soon after I was discharged from the army and went through some troubled times. Years later after I got my life together, one day part 1 of the emperor of man popped up in my youtube feed. I watched it and part 2 all in one sitting. I just sat there and watched it like a movie. I found it completely engrossing. I've been obsessed ever since. Thank you for what you do. There's lots of good lore channels but you're the best imo. I recommend your channel to every person that shows any interest in 40k in hopes they'll get the same enjoyment out of it that I do!
Fantastic video once again. Your last thought about "What if there's still another human civ out there with a functional STC" is really interesting. I'm currently reading Asimov's Foundation series and it is an interesting thought if something like the first or second foundation were discovered by the Imperium, not just a small advanced civ that survived the age of strife but a hidden advanced human faction set up by someone with their onw plan for mankind's future outside that of the Emperor
A human society outside the imperium with a functional STC is probably an outside context problem for anything in that galaxy. They are basically the Culture. And the Culture would turn the 40k verse into rubble.
An STC must have thousands of quettabytes (3³⁰) of storage, to get an idea UA-cam occupies 0.01 Zettabyte of the Internet and it is estimated that in 2025, the internet will have 175 Zettabytes. Since there are other unofficial metric measures such as the Kiloquetta(3³³) which is 1,024 quettabyte and even the Ronnaquetta which goes up to (3⁶⁰) An STC is like an Internet/Database made just for scientific knowledge and dataprints
My theory/head cannon is that a lot of the surviving AI/STCs either disappeared through time like the Spirit of Eternity or they're just hiding in plain sight like the mechanicus ships. Maybe they're really running everything from behind the scenes, but nobody in the Imperium can even see it, let alone try to stop it. Or maybe you have this super powerful AI, just biding its time: filtering through untold date slates and documents, just waiting for mankind to burn itself out, at which point it will rise again.
Surprised you didn’t mention the Omnicopaeia. Which is supposedly a fully intact STC that magos Delphan Gruss was looking for. Although it was supposedly located on a daemon world so it’s probably corrupted.
Not a fully intact STC library, an STC library of all of the psychic technology. Still be the golden feather of Magos Gruss's career if it's not corrupted.
One of my favourite videos from you is the last STC video. It got me back into warhammer and the lore. Loving the content mate, keep up the hard work and the passion
I love the dark age of technology era of 40k. Just the thought that humanity has fallen so far that its barely a memory in anyone currently alive is so cool to me
A bit like the Roman Empire - so much influence from this era still holds true today and is all around us, yet we do not even stop to consider it's relevance in a day to day lives.
@@archaelusthorne5228not really, weve still improved lots of things still. In 40k theyve stagnated for the entirety of it. Basically thatd be if literally nothing of importance happened from 1354 to now.
Great video Luetin. since getting into 40K I have also fantasised about there being a successful independent human empire as an offshoot of the imperium or originating from the DAoT, or both surviving somewhere in the 40k verse. I think It would be very cool for there to be small pockets non-imperium aligned human factions that are independent, operate as mercenaries or allied with xeno's. Or a combination of all that. But really this is what I love about 40k, it is a sandbox for you to create your own stories and narratives within. And that is the same reason I love many other franchises too.
I love how I can watch Luetin's videos serval times and not get tired of hearing it and if I have trouble sleeping its always great to drift off listening to lore.
the entire spirit of eternity AI's burn-monologue to the assembled imperium noobs and the accompanying scene is still one of my favorite descriptive bits of lore
I would love to see an intact STC lead to the rise of a brand new faction. One which breaks away from the decay of the Imperium, carves out its own little niche in space, and continues on its merry way while the Imperium goes bananas and tries to take it back.
Keeping it low and atmospheric until the very end worked pretty well. Sort of wanted some interludes where it become either more disturbing or energetic or even just a bit louder for a spell. Nice change of pace, though.
Veriliad, a Tech-Priest, destroyed the only STC for Phosphex after using it in battle. He was so horrified by what it could do, he felt humans shouldn't have the capacity to be so cruel. Then he was burnt at the stake in punishment....
These two vids on STC's and the Dark and Golden Ages really made me think. Among other things, we have always assumed that the war and the Age of Strife was humanity vs AI. Man versus Machine. But, what if it wasn't? What if it was AI vs AI? The Man of Stone AI group vs the Man of Iron AI group? That the men of gold (flesh humans) were really not part of the fight until the men of stone started to lose to their own AI creations (the men of iron). Then man, it's hubris, steps in to ":settle" the issue and get smashed and almost driven to extinction. But, man only became a target once it got involved. Once the all-vaunted humans were getting wiped out - if everyone believed the legends - that would move the Aeldari and others to get involved. And - given that Slaanesh is born right at this moment - what if the war with the men of iron somehow was the final trigger for not only the fall of man but the fall of the Eldar? Sorry - just really got me to thinking as to why encounters with AI - some describe themselves as ancient (men of stone) and are way more friendly toward the Imperium and Xenos while others are more modern and far less tolderant (men of iron). Also, what if the STC's were not meant to be stand alone all everythings but part of a nodal-neural network based on FTL communications outside the warp? Every node has the most basic things that there was no issue with falling into alien hands or so common - say a water purification plant - that it was just easier to send out copies with the nodes. But high tech or specialized things - say a Titan - were part of the 'cloud" of the network and sent to nodes only when necessary and then erased once used? Then when the network collapses, each STC is different - it only has the basic bits plus any of the specialized items that node was using at the moment. Paper transcriptions were taken of everything they thought important before the network collapsed. If the men of stone made the STCs in a neural network fashion, then it would be part of the men of iron network and would need to be destroyed. The individual nodes useful but essentialyl a single brain cell but without the full network, assumed to be less dangerous. But paper - is not dangerous, just in case they needed to go more an destroy the node. The mind spins.
The psychic awakening is upon us! I had been rewatching old videos of yours while waiting for a new lore vid and just finished rewatching your original STC vid yesterday. Rejoice! We are once more blessed by the lore omnissiah!
I think the most perfect dilemma for humanity, should they ever find an intact STC constructor, would be if it requires having a full blown "heretical" AI to function
Any time I hear the words of The Spirit of Eternity, I get chills, when someone like Luetin or Occulus read them, I feel like someone walked over my grave.
Absolutely badass video! My head is spinning with the possibilities around a hidden or lost human society from the Golden age. My first thought was a short story that detailed a rogue trader commissioned by Gulliman investigating rumors of a tyranid tendril only to find a single lifeless system that stopped the threat by using weapons that assured mutual destruction on a scale that terrifies the imperial ships. That could fit into a white dwarf pretty easily tbh
Would love a story involving Tempestus Scions or a Rouge Trader crew on a retrieval mission for a STC regarding a series of new infantry weapons and armor upgrades while having to battle the Nids in order to retrieve it then the complications of having to sell/trade it for untold advantageous gear/riches. Interesting read I believe it would be.
an intact STC would probably cause another Mechanicum civil war that would probably ruin everything. That said, with 2 Primarchs back and Cawl being Cawl the Imperium could maybe stop being an overall negative and break even. but thats not grimdark, so the worst possible outcome is inevitable.
I get completely absorbed by the more mysterious aspects of the lore. Thanks for your hard work uploading bruv. This is how you get people hooked on your product. Creative lore.
The Slaughtersong from Deamon World probably had a rather large STC library in it. It is left open ended if that "huge" pre-imperium warship ship survived after the book.
Been watching you since the first Emperor of Man video. You got me into the lore of 40k and I just wanted to say I'm eternally grateful to you Leutin for every upload you do.
Great video as always Luetin. To address a point you made about no one in the Imperium doing anything good with an STC. I imagine Guilliman could? He's a generally benevolent leader, at least by Primarch standards and would want to do something "good" with it. He would at the very least comprehend the magnitude of the discovery and would understand he would need to be heavily involved on how it would be used, especially given his direct interest in records of the Imperium.
These stc are a great modular chunk for possibilities and stories like you described. Like the votan popping out. They are not godlike though as you importantly mentioned the seeded humans were crushed. I would really like to watch a series on psykers, psykers in general xenos and human.
I'd love to see a humanity splinter faction with fully functioning STC. Imperium would finally have a worthy ally/enemy and be forced to understand that they can't subdue anyone they want.
Always love to wake up to a new video from the Loremaster himself. Gotta say, without you I would have never discovered this world that's existed for so long, nor would have I had the courage to step into it without your videos. It's great being able to toss on one of your videos and get another bit sized taste of the universe of information. Omnissiah be praised!!!
Sweet new LT vid! Right back into the depths of our storied lore! +1 love all the content you provide. Daily shuffle of recent lore on the hour+ or so on my way to my designated assignment really is a blessing from the Emperor!
I’m convinced different Imperial factions are sitting on various pieces of STCs that would in total make up dozens of complete units. The internal politics and uncertainty of what to do with such technology means they largely stay locked away in vaults, a fiercely guarded secret that falls out of knowledge again and again.
Listening to this I started wondering if a spin off series during the Golden Age could work. It could be a very interesting setting, leading up to the war with the Men of Stone.
@@ezragoldberg3132 Men of gold were humanity during the golden age. Since in one of the two accounts of the men of stone and the men of iron only refers to humanity, the other men of gold. So men of gold were humanity at their peak. The men of stone are easy to answer now: they were what we now know as the kin of the leagues of votann. In short, they were genetically engineered cloned workers sent out to colonize the galaxy and prepare things for humanity. They are described as having dim souls, like the kin. They were sent out by humanity to set up colonies, like the kin. In short, the kin are the surviving men of stone who have continued to operate long after they forgot their original purpose Men of iron were then the true AI made after
39:30 the thought I've had almost since I've been researching 40K lore is that during the 'dark age' of technology a group of humans ventured into Intergalactic space and ended up in Andromeda many thousands of years later, and with their fully intact tech became masters of that entire galaxy and now in the 41st they watch the going-ons in the Milky Way with fascination and trepidation
I really like your idea of a pocket empire with an STC. I always like to imagine that the Imperium will come across like left overs of like the star trek or starwars universe. The history of Star Trek meld into being the golden age of mankind.
Your first video on this subject is my favourite of all your work so far. To say that I was chuffed to see part two come up on my feed this morning is the understatement of the year. I can't wait to actually watch it!! Cheers for all the years of passion and great content.
I was searching for any video i can watch while i eat. I didnt find any. So i then remember about Warhammer and how good luetin is as a narrater. 10/10 would recommend as a video to watch while eating
Theory: Either humans searching for an STC like system apart from the machines they were fighting, or the SCT AI itself in search of life for itself (like Scilons on Battlestar) created the Tyranids, which operate like a network of STCs, consuming everything and reconstructing it into the hive.
Your last STC video is quite possibly one of, if not my favorite video on your channel. It’s extremely interesting to think about what humanity was like during the golden age, and the sheer zenith level of power that is now lost forever. Also all your speculations about an undiscovered colony of humans with an STC are very thought provoking. As you said, it’s interesting to speculate about all the possible situations that could play out regarding the imperium finding an intact STC, or the revelation that a colony with an intact STC exists. Personally one idea I’d find interesting is if an imperial ship traveling through the warp gets sent back in time to the golden age. What the crew see would likely be incomprehensible both in terms of the technology humanity wields, and the sheer heresy of AI being common, and the emperor not being worshiped. I throughly enjoy all the speculation you do in all your videos, from dark origins, to lasguns, and I can’t wait to see more! Keep up the great work!
My theory about STC's is that the fragment of the void dragon on mars potentially corrupted the first STC AI's with scrap code so when humanity took them to all corners of the galaxy it was only a matter of time before their creations (the men of iron) would turn on them. The fact they're called the men of iron kind of smacks of the necron in both description and disposition in a way that's hard to ignore. Plus the fact Big E more or less refuses to talk about the machine rebellion could be explained by the fact he'd have figured out eventually that leaving a fragment of a 64 million year old genocidal machine/god hybrid on the same planet that the STC originated from could have been the source of the issue and decided to keep it to himself. Plus the whole omnissiah thing. At some point all the little pieces add up to make one bigger picture. Hold on there's an inquisitor at my door, i'll be right back.
I like the idea of there being a truly pristine garden world somewhere, a human beacon managed by a self-maintaining AI so advanced it has the capability to dissect Necron armaments, and to some degree, understand its inner workings. Able to reverse engineer the design principals that made the Necrons unrivaled in force, and incorporate it in its own designs. A world spanning AI striving for a degree of perfection that would make even Fulgrim himself weep, an automated garden world where Humanity rests at peace, protected by their nigh omniscient, striving to omnipotence, guardian angel. The immovable object no unstoppable force could match nor hope to conquer.
I know it’s crossing universes, but I’ve often wondered how the Imperium would react if they came across a full functional Galaxy or Sovereign-Class Starship with its databases intact.
Over the 30 plus years that I've been into 40k. I have wished for the same thing that you have. I want to have a sub-fraction of super advanced humans who know exactly what happened and how to return humanity back to its former glory 🤔
I bet it’s going to come out eventually that the emperor and malcador have a complete STC somewhere in the crypts on Terra. Why do I think this? Well, if you look at the conversations that have been happening throughout the siege books, we see a very nonchalant attitude towards what can be created. With malcador, stating that the emperor stole fire from the gods. He also states that they could have brought back manus if they had enough time. So to me this states that they not only had the technological know how, but they had the God, like power to forge souls into these tremendous bodies they had created. At no point in time during these last books, has there been any rush or great debate on the loss of technology. That to me, certifies that they already have access to large amounts of the most powerful technology. This is just like anything else even in our modern time. Once you put some thing out there it becomes available to everyone. Meaning that if we had super advanced technology and we were using it and everything that not only would our enemies have that technology, they would be using it against us. So there is a saying that if it’s good enough technology to do what needs to be done then you don’t necessarily want to improve on it, until it no longer is adequate to perform the function. What this all means is that eventually there will come a point in time where we will be fighting wars like we’re fought during world war one because we have the technology to nullify each other to the point where we are fighting like they are fighting in 40 K. The technology cancels out each other, and now it’s down to bodies and intellect to win the conflict. It’s actually really fascinating and a lot of people have written about it and concerns with AI as well as the future of conflict. In reality, we are pretty much almost there, and the war in Ukraine has shown us that. That one technology of two sides notifies each other they’re fighting in trenches over there utilizing terror tactics, killing civilians in order to try to swing the balance one way. Inside each battle, we are seeing utilization of drones, dropping munitions, as well as technology being used to help optimize the battle but it’s still being fucked in trenches. I don’t think people realize how crazy that is we are in 2023, but we are noticing that we have the capability of destroying multi million dollar pieces of equipment with very simple physics principles. One shoulder fired rocket cost $50,000 and if you give out a couple hundred of them you now have the ability to wipe out an entire division of tanks. Well, you just notified all of that technology with a very simple device.
I guess that's Mankinds's defining feature. We rise high and forge grand empire's but they eventually collapse causing anarchy and total societal collapse then from the ashes Warlords with a vision forge another even grander empire and so and so forth
Thanks again for the vid. More clarification and STCs is always welcome. If you do another, it would be fun to hear a deeper dive into the Emperor's relationship to the concept of them. What are some good and bad possible reasons he did not want to rely on them? Did he want to control all knowledge or did he want to free humanity from the reliance on tech that potentially crippled human thought and ingenuity? It would be interesting to see what info is out there on this and to get your take. Thanks again.
How have the Van Saar evaded detection? As was mentioned, I'm sure a future video will look into this. But for those interested now, I'd say there are three main reasons. The first is because there aren't even any rumors of the Van Saar having an STC. They spent centuries spreading the belief that their tech came from a vast archeotech vault they uncovered. So there are, in fact, constant expeditions to uncover "Van Saar's vault." The second reason is Lord Helmawr. The one thing that all of the guilds, houses, and clans of Necromunda agree on is the job of the planetary governor is to keep the Imperium out of local affairs. And Lord Helmawr is both VERY good at this and on good terms with Van Saar. Adeptus representation is almost nonexistent below the spire level. So there is little to no notice from off-world entities. The third reason is because the Van Saar keep moving the STC, usually to places like under spaceports or next to power plants that can mask the exotic radiation the STC puts off as regular pollution.

Always love when Luetin talks about the DAoT. It's like watching the past glory of Mankind and how may never be achieved again. Like a yearning for a past that will never return
It's something we can look forward too...just survive for about 10k years from now

I would atleast like to know more of the wars of DAoT humanity against other species
Stop posting. Forever.
The spirit world is real. Chaos affects our realm everyday.
Warhammer was something I always felt was a boat I missed and was way too late to start... Luetin changed my mind and damn near made me feel obligated to join the ranks as a collector/player.
Never too late to start even though at times it feels a bit too colossal to get into
Leutin should be a games workshop recruiter, I've got a few people into warhammer at work through his videos.

STC's are such an interesting bit of lore. I love the trope of a once common item becoming increasingly rare and valuable as time goes on. STC's embody that perfectly
In the Gaunt's Ghosts storyline they actually find one.
@@TheBazino An STC shard
Check out the leagues of Votaan STCs
They're TRUE STCs
Been waiting for a sequel to the original STC episode for ages, love it
I always thought the reason STC were so rare was because they were sent along with the generational ships at the early days of humanity's initial expansion.
I love this explanation, and I think it fits the lore, both in aesthetics and logic, quite well.
They were needed most on settled worlds to meet the needs of their colonists.
Luetin, I’ve been replaying all your Tyranid videos nonstop for like a month. I need part 3 of the Tyranid series!
I can’t believe it’s been 4 years since your last STC lore video. I must have watched that a dozen times. I’m looking forward to this one.
A hidden human subfaction would be very cool.
I’d imagine them having a huge focus on stealth tech : Cloaking fields that would be used to devastating effect against Orks and the like, stealth ships capable of completely concealing their presence down to vision itself, agents operating within the Imperium
Brilliant idea tbh. Emperor would probably support them too.
STC, one type of the holy grails of the Empire.. Love that this part of 40k returns again on this channel
That would be cool !!! Tech light years ahead of the Imperium, the squats are kinda there .
Their has to be. Far from the reach of Imperium in the Exodite worlds the possibility of it existing is high due to the capability of Intergalactic coverage, I've even wonder why that sector hasn't encounter Tyranids yet knowing how vulnerable it is.

At this point nothing makes me happier then you making another video. You are the reason I got into 40k
Even my nintendo switch is now running your videos man
Thanks Luetin for all the great content, always a pleasure watching your meticulously crafted masterpieces
And 75% of that will be porn🤣
@@dualityomk9854 'It was mostly from Jeff's collection'.
I like your funny words, Internet Man.
I like to think that STCs are in-universe recordings of Luetin explaining how the tech works.
The idea of STC and that a full STC database went along with each colony ship is a nice nod to logistical constraints of no FTL
Thoroughly enjoyed this video Luetin! No better way to start your Monday morning at work than with a lore video from the master himself.
Gather round, brothers. We have a new story to enjoy!
the entire spirit of eternity AI's burn-monologue to the assembled imperium noobs and the accompanying scene is still one of my favorite descriptive bits of lore
I would love to see an intact STC lead to the rise of a brand new faction. One which breaks away from the decay of the Imperium, carves out its own little niche in space, and continues on its merry way while the Imperium goes bananas and tries to take it back.
Wow, Lue! The opening music for this one is above and beyond. Bravo, Loremaster!
AI 🇺🇸 for POTUS 2024
A great discussion and could lead to phenomenal new tech and a way for the Imperium to survive when it gets pushed to the brink.
The psychic awakening is upon us! I had been rewatching old videos of yours while waiting for a new lore vid and just finished rewatching your original STC vid yesterday.

I think the most perfect dilemma for humanity, should they ever find an intact STC constructor, would be if it requires having a full blown "heretical" AI to function
Hey there, I know next to nothing about WH, but your channel kept me in, it's fascinating to listen. Whole history and lore is really captivating.
Any time I hear the words of The Spirit of Eternity, I get chills, when someone like Luetin or Occulus read them, I feel like someone walked over my grave.
The AI was right. I would have been disgusted too.

"Okay, computer. How good are you at making fluted columns?"
These stc are a great modular chunk for possibilities and stories like you described. Like the votan popping out. They are not godlike though as you importantly mentioned the seeded humans were crushed. I would really like to watch a series on psykers, psykers in general xenos and human.

I’m convinced different Imperial factions are sitting on various pieces of STCs that would in total make up dozens of complete units. The internal politics and uncertainty of what to do with such technology means they largely stay locked away in vaults, a fiercely guarded secret that falls out of knowledge again and again.
The Spirit of Eternity is one of my favourite bits of lore. Great video as always thx.

Brilliant as always. I would love to see a series or books on the life in our golden ages before the emperor rose and took over.
@Luetin09 I love your videos man. You have allowed me to finish hours of homework, learn so much about 40k, and relax after long days.

I'm a bit surprised GW hasn't used STCs in the lore more. There are so many possibilities to bring them in for story use.
Aren't they basically the original 40k MacGuffin?
I needed this. STC is my fav video of yours 🙏🏾 the emperor has truly blessed us this day
I bet it’s going to come out eventually that the emperor and malcador have a complete STC somewhere in the crypts on Terra.
Always a good way to start the day. Thanks for your hard work Luetin!
STC - Give it to Guilliman!
The irony that the future of humanity is in the past
So there are, in fact, constant expeditions to uncover "Van Saar's vault."
The second reason is Lord Helmawr.
