Why oh why Games Workshop doesn't do these excellent lore videos I dunno. These are absolutely excellent, better than current Star Wars movies by miles ! I fell asleep through the last Star Wars movie, unthinkable in the 1980s cinema !

40K Theories did a video on that. It might be possible for Tyrannids to eventually develop the ability to consume and adapt Living Metal into their own Bioweapons
Yeah tyranida are incredibly overpowered, and I think in the end, they'll wipe the galaxy out. Although it'd be funny to see a tyranid using a necron as a chew toy at the end of the galaxy
they dont just eat the bio matter of planets, they take EVERYTHING useful including minerals and yes metal's, they will eventually figure out a way to eat necrons too lol
they may be gone now, but when victory is out of reach and defeat is all but inevitable, a few of them may once again answer the call of the Emperium, in the form of the legion of the damned. of course just a theory
Epic video But also imagine the reaction of a space marine like "Tha hell is that" * Tyranids start screeching * "HOLY EMPEROR NIGHTMARE BUGS WITH GUNS AND CLAWS"
The world of Warhammer 40k is just brutal... I love it! I've been wanting to get into the Warhammer 40k universe for a while now and don't really know where to start. You think the Space Marine game would be a good place?
Krongfah Mahankalarp Look at all the armies and pick one which you find the coolest. The looks, the style of fighting to the challenge to paint. Consider this and choose. I started with ultramarines and I still love dropping them on the table via drop pod and obliterating the enemy with bolter fire. If u do go spaz marangs look at all the different chapters.
More or less the Space Marine universal tactica. If it bleeds we can kill it. If it doesn't bleed... we can probably still kill it, just with more fire power.
It can, but Nids have unimaginable amounts of blood to spill, so it's a bigger question of who will bleed out first, us or them? We both know the answer to that....
Luetin - don't know if this is the first time you've done this but the use of audio from an ongoing battle alongside the images is a great addition to the vids especially as they've been added so subtly.
year111 Starship Troopers 3 was an improvement and brought the series back towards the first movie, but still wasn’t as good. One of the things that made the first stick out was how great the bugs looked, in Marauder the quality went down.
I would love to see a video breaking down the rankings of ultra marines (or any other marine chapter) from the lower ranking newbie marines to the super elites, with appearance distinctions, regalia examples, and character examples where applicable.
Humans are destined to live in the real Warhammer universe once we move to other planets . I think real life humans with super advanced God like tech will become the deadliest lifeform in the universe .
It's not that insane to come up with? It's a devouring swarm, consuming everything in it's path. It's one of the plagues from the bible, and it's nothing new. I love 40k but there's definitely not much inspiration to be found in it, almost everything is taken from history or other sci fi or fantasy. It's just one massive mash up and I love it.
@@taserrr from the Bible? You know a lot of other sci fi stuff took inspiration from 40K, right? The only reason no one tries to replicate 40k into movies or shows it’s because of how complex and long every aspect of 40k would take to explain. It would take years to fully explain how humans came to their first contact with the tyranids. The amount of money that would have to be spend on special effects and actors. And if they get something wrong, the 40k fans won’t be happy and review it poorly. Those who are new might not find themselves interested and dump the idea of trying to understand what’s going on. All of this would mean no profit for trying to recreate this universe. That’s why the only animations you see are from true fans who try to go by the book as closely as possible, and yet the 40k universe lore is still not finished nor is it perfect so it’s difficult to grasp. I have yet to see someone do something as simple as creating a story about super human soldiers fighting a swarm of alien form who all they care about is to consume organisms in the universe to expand and that’s it. For these aliens to evolve and look different every time. You technically call it ‘simple’ and yet I doubt you could come up with unique designs for just the tyranids only
Been watching these... Went to a local gameshop and found a droppod and some ultra marines. Bought them home. Not that I intend to play, but I enjoy painting figures. I'll try to do justice in my painting efforts as you do in your lore telling. Keep the stories coming, I use them as bedtime stories before I sleep lol.
So the "Tyranids" is a name the Imperium gave them and is not what they call themselves. Imagine if the tyranid hive mind is able to create a bioform that can speak its true name, to the horror of all who witness, the voice calls out, "WE... ARE.... JEFF."
Fantastic job, Luetin09. The way you read all of it, the music in the background, the sounds of combat, the entire presentation was just epic and masterfully done. You perfectly transported this mad and relentless confrontation and the heroic last stand of the Ultra Marines against the seemingly unstoppable tide of the Tyranids. Holy Emperor....I wish you would upload many, many more of those confrontations. Loved every second of it. Totally impressed. Youre a great story teller. You basically introduced me to the Warhammer Universe with your videos. I knew of the universe and franchise but I never really explored the lore. I think they would love Krieg with the amount of biomass they can get. Plus kriegers would be a bad type of unit to fight nids. Since they don’t care about their own safety and would just give the bids more biomass.
Don't take this the wrong way Luetin but I have fallen asleep to this video dozens of times, you have a very soothing voice. So much better than weird asmr junk.
Got into 40K a month ago. I'm now fully involved. This video does well to educate a rookie, and reads like actual history, so well that it doesnt feel like fantasy. Very well done.
When I was a kid and my best friend got me into WH40k the very first army I assembled was a Tyranid army. I LOVE these vicious horrifying bastards, and I remember so many 'friendly' battles against my friend and his Space Marines, usually Ultramarines or Blood Angels, those were the good old days. These days I haven't got any figures, or friends in person who play it so its just distant memories of ravaging campaigns of blood and chitin.
Kryptmann probably made the right decision. If the tyranid fleet has been allowed to swell with a whole systems biomass then far more lives could have been lost.
Two things, 1. Luetin I am a massive fan of your work. Brilliant. 2. I tend towards thinking each hive fleet is just the approaching tendrils of a far more massive mass because they have to have come from somewhere which means another galaxy. Considering that they consume all life available that means they come from a galaxy they have stripped bare. An entire galaxy of biomass. Even with propulsion requirements that could still leave an unthinkable amount. On top of that the Milky Way is only a smallish middle in size. Andromeda (nearest galactic neighbor) is about 200 times bigger. Thank you for coming to my TED talk :)
@@christianriddler5063 same bro... I grew up in a family owned vhs rental store, my parents and grandparents were not strict about the age ratings of things I watched behind the counter lol

@@Theroadneverending you clearly don't play. Basic space marines are $50. $60 for specialist units. Same for tanks and dreads. In a 2000 point army you could easily spend $500 just getting your core together, the getting different units to adapt to different opponents could run you another $500. Then everything there is a new edition you gotta go through it again. I probably have $2000 invested in my marines and they are out of date. If all I wanted to run was basic marines I could, but I'd never win.
I must have watched this entire video a dozen times already. It's so freaking good and honestly one of my go to videos when I need to just chill or clear my head.
I've never played or read any 40k stuff. However, I do come on here to watch videos about the lore as I love how dark and terrifying it can be at times.
One of the first things I remember about WH 40k lore is a battle that took 200 years to replace losses or having 99% casualties but claiming victory .I truly believe that people on Earth are likely to end up with a " emperor of mankind" at some point.
I don't play the games or do tabletop.. I listen to the audiobooks and to everything this channel puts out. Multi hour lore videos are beautiful to fall asleep to lol
My headcanon is that every Tyranid Hive Ship has a galactic version of Google maps, each planet showing up as a restaurant icon.... What do we fancy eating today? Mongolian bbq? Off to Mundus Planus we go......
Tyranids really make you sit back and wonder if there really is some species like that in the universe or galaxy. Gives you the chills, hell I get the chills just listening to lore about them compared to every other group
Travelling the void for that long would defy the 2nd law of thermodynamics, even if they solely eat themselves, they will run out of energy at some point. As for a species that relentlessly consumes and assimilates whatever it touches, I think humans and locusts are a good contender.
@@gouverneur2001 laws or theories that pertain to the human understanding of the universe can easily be negated by something that defies human thinking. Tryanids may just be fiction however there is a possibility something similar to them exist somewhere in universe

This might very well be my most favorite piece of WH40K lore. I can't even imagine just how amazing this story might look if it were given a chance to be on the big screen. I could even feel the the atmosphere of the battles as you were explaining it and even almost made me feel terror.
Mate you are just the best, in a perfect world yourself and whoever makes 'Astartes' and 'Helsreach' need to get paid big money to do this stuff together.
It's hilarious because the Necrons would be able to EASILY obliterate the Tyranids since they have no biomatter to steal.
Drfate 786 Bones count as biomatter.
necrons are made entirely of living metal. and tryandids actually go out of their way to avoid necron home worlds.

Welcome to 40k ... The only IP where it's fans don't want to live in.
Humans are destined to live in the real Warhammer universe once we move to other planets . I think real life humans with super advanced God like tech will become the deadliest lifeform in the universe .
@@sharkbait8090 Ever heard of Star Wars?
You technically call it ‘simple’ and yet I doubt you could come up with unique designs for just the tyranids only
He did such a good job painting the story! It felt like listening to the history of a real event.

Imperium- Tyranid first Contact; also known as Operation Buffet Table.

Kronofex maybe you would love to start again =)?
Those sound like good days
Kryptmann probably made the right decision. If the tyranid fleet has been allowed to swell with a whole systems biomass then far more lives could have been lost.
Terra would of gotten touched up. But hey. We would see the skeletons in sols closet
Hive Fleet Kraken is really ignored for some reason. I guess even fleets suffer from being the middle child
Lmao
Two things,
