After trying so many things, watching other videos, I watched yours and did what you suggested. (My firestick and remote didn't work at all. I just had a blank screen). So I took out the powercord from the stick, took out the fire stick itself from the TV, waited a couple of mins, plugged it all back in AND it worked! It maybe a simple, basic video but it's brilliant and what's needed. Something that goes through all the options, in simple words that everyone can follow. Thank you!

Great information as usual! I should probably restart my Firestick a little more often. If I have a problem, it's usually with the app (most of the time). Another thing that may help is restarting your router. I restart mine once a week (or more if necessary)..

I put mine to sleep after each use. If you don't, the firestick continues to run. If you did the same to your computer it would eventually stop working and freeze up.

Did you unplug the stick from the tv and the wall outlet? Then unplug your actual tv. With everything unplugged wait 60 seconds and plug the tv back in, then plug your firestick back into the port and outlet. You are resetting the hdmi port on your tv. Should do the trick

Nope. Holding the home button did nothing. I had to press and hold the back button AND the right side of the navigation circle. But warning, that resets it to the factory defaults (which is what I needed).
Most people either use the remote sync code, or use the fire tv app to get into settings. Do you not have the fire app? It's free and we did a video on it. Easier to control your firestick
HEY ! I have a question I did the Firestick update with one your videos and seems to be working a bit better BUT WHEN I go to about in settings and back to update it still says Install update even though I did ?
I have videos that will help with this. You need to clean house. Meaning clear all your cache and close all your apps. If you ran background apps and processes like on our videos, I bet you have all your apps open. Most people don't close them or know to. This will fix your issue. Have a good night. Mines was deregistered and amazon cant do anything any help it wont let me login back in as was registered its a firestick lite can it be factory reset i can get to wifi settings and login any help

I would need more info. What model stick? Which OS update are you on? How long have you had it? What error message? Just need to give a little more for help to be effective.
Are you saying that MB is returning? Or the small amount of kb that some apps require to launch? We discussed this in our videos. I'm just concerned if you are returning and MB is back. Please clarify
@CuriosityCafe I go into manage installed apps. Go to each app installed. Clear say 25 cache. Then check them again and the 25 cache is there again. When I clear cache on each one they say 0. When you go back into same installed app. It restores back where it was.
Have you tried new batteries? Typically you can override the stuck with the remote. Unplug from the power outlet and during boot, hold the buttons as shown on the remote

Did you unplug the stick from the tv and the wall outlet? Then unplug your actual tv. With everything unplugged wait 60 seconds and plug the tv back in, then plug your firestick back into the port and outlet. You are resetting the hdmi port on your tv. Should do the trick

Got the new Firestick 4K Max. Got setup completed, now trying to download some apps from you but it won’t allow it. Keeps saying to go to settings.

Yes. That means you also are resetting the remote. Normally not necessary unless it’s linked to another stick

How old is it? Might need factory reset if you unplugged the firestick power from the wall outlet and still like that
