My firestick has been stuck on a loop for almost a week. I contacted Amazon and they told me it is an error on their end and they are aware of it and that their technical team are working to solve the issue. It worked in the morning, got stuck on a loop when I came home that night and I contacted them then. Almost a week later and no change. I’ve contacted them 3 times for updates but nothing. They tell me it’s an error on their end and they take full responsibility BUT suggesting I pay for a repair. Doesn’t sound like taking responsibility to me…

Good presentation. Unfortunately, none of these steps worked on initial setup for a new firestick 4K. I am on my 3rd new stick. Same boot loop problem. An Amazon rep confirmed they are having technical issues with a lot of their firesticks. They are trying to narrow down the cause(s).
I had a 4K Max purchased January 2022 get stuck in a boot loop in March 2023. I returned it to Amazon and they "fixed" it. Last month it got stuck while "updating." I tried all these tips to no avail. Ended up purchasing a new 4K Max for the discounted price of $11.00 (this due to returning the old 4K Max). What's most irritating about the new 4K Max is the remote. Gone are Disney+ and Hulu shortcut buttons replaced with DirectTV and Peacock. 😠

Could you help please. My Firestick is not actually stuck on the logo - the firetv logo appears for about 6 seconds then disappears with the "HDMI signal lost" message. After about another 3 seconds, it reappears and does the same thing again.
What I find aggravating about fire stick is when pausing a scene, you get a dark screen with information, and options banners instead of a simple pause. When pressing play, you get the same thing. Is there a way to resolve this?
This depends on which app you are using and which media player is being used, as they can operate differently. Pressing the play/pause button on the remote should work as a simple pause. However, if it does not, please provide more details: 1) Which model of Firestick do you have 2) Name of the app and version number 3) Name of the media player and version number (if using an external player)
You won't be able to determine the issue until you replace the cable. If the device starts working after the replacement, it confirms that the cable was the problem.

guys i fixed it, if you have your tv plugged into a power strip, unplug it and plug it back into the wall rather the power strip. it requires more power, once thats done check to make sure your tv doesnt need any updates
I have a Fire TV Gen 3 (Pre-Stick. Square box attached to an HDMI dongle). I can see the FireTV logo when I attach it to a TV and provide power, so I assume there is still something there, but the key combo with the OTG to boot into safe mode doesn't work. I also tried connecting to it via adb (Windows and on Linux) and neither sees the device. Any ideas other than sending this back to Amazon?
Can I use the cheap USB wired keyboard? Or does it need to be powered (internal batteries). My Firestick will not load additional drivers for the keyboard as its stuck in boot mode.
These were the most complete instructions I received to troubleshoot the Fire TV stick. Unfortunately, even after following all these steps, my Fire TV is still not working 😭🤬 I am extremely disappointed with Amazon.

Hi my power supplies and leads are good as other stick works on the same supply and leads. The factory reset option won’t work either as it’s not recognising the remote. My option now is to ride it out leaving it on the boot loop. My question is do I need to leave the tv turned on and left on that source ?

It’s not working even after sending device to Amazon they are offering refurbished devices which with rs 500 off than new device. It’s better to use chromecast or any other device which comes with hard reset button

I have been trying all the tips you have provided. After reading a few comments I can see you are asking follow up questions. Seems like to only way for me is to try to do a factory reset using OTG cable So here is a little more info from: - Left the stick on all night for around 11 hours. - Purchased a OTG cable from Amazon, used a Dell USB keyboard. It wont go into Safe Mode.

I have a problem while using Live TV. I could be watching freevee and then it will just go right to the fire stick homepage?? Seems to happen on the live free apps.
If you are using a VPN or an adblocker, try turning it off. It could be that ads are being blocked when using those ads, causing them to crash to the Home screen. If not, try turning your screensaver off to see if that helps. If not, I suggest reporting the issue to Amazon to see if they have any advice. Good luck!
Could be because the addon no longer works, or you are selecting a file that's too big or an unsupported resolution. Try a different addon or select a smaller file. My recommended addons can be found on my website firetvsticks.com.
How long did you leave the Firestick powered on for? Did safe mode not work? If none of these methods worked for you, contact Amazon for possibly help with the cost of a replacement.

Hi Tanya Thanks so much for your channel which of the UK Firestick channels I find the clearest and most comprehensive. Fortunately I live in Portugal and therefore always use VPN for security and access. One anomaly I am unable to solve concerns UKTV Play. I have a standard Firestick, a 4K Max and a Fire TV all connected to the same network and same VPN, though never all at once. I can access UKTV Play from the standard Firestick and the Fire TV without problem, but although correctly installed on the 4K max, it will not play after the opening screen. I invariably get the 'Whoops there seems to be something wrong' screen. Any ideas. I have exhausted my Firestick magic, (switch off, switch on, uninstall, reinstall etc) to no avail. Everything else loads and works perfectly except UKTV Play.
Are you using the UKTV Play app or accessing via a web browser? If the app is not working on your 4K Max, try accessing the UKTV Play website via a web browser instead.
@@FireTVSticks Thanks for the idea. The point I was making was that the App works on my Xiaomi Fire TV and on my standard Firestick, but not on the 4K Max which is connected to my Samsung TV. I wondered if it could be the reason. The standard stick is connected to a Xiaomi 32" internet TV. The difficulty of connecting to websites using the onscreen keyboard is the reason we need apps.
@@FireTVSticks Actually I have just spent about half an hour trying to sign in to UKTV Play on my TV. After logging on you need to use the 5 digit code displayed - except there is nothing displayed. I managed to get past that, the difficulty being trying to use a cursor with your remote. Then it comes up that there is an ad blocker which you have to disable. To my knowledge I have no ad blocker on my TV as I watch all other stuff with ads on unless my Nord VPN has one. I give up!
EUREKA. I went to Nord and turned off Threat protection lite, and managed to play the UKTV play app after jumping through further sign in hoops. Really I shouldn't have to turn off threat protection in Nord just to watch an app. Why?

Have you tried using a different TV or power outlet to check if that's causing the issue? Are you using the power cable and plug that came in the box?

Yes, but after the factory reset you'll need to "log in" again with your Amazon account. When you do, your Prime account data should be restored.

Try the key presses at different times during the boot up process.

@FireTVSticks yes, I have also tried powering keyboard with a laptop and using secondary keyboard usb into adapter with still no luck. I think I will need to just give up and buy a new firestick. Thanks for reply though.

I have a problem while using Live TV. I could be watching freevee and then it will just go right to the fire stick homepage?? Seems to happen on the live free apps.
If you are using a VPN or an adblocker, try turning it off. It could be that ads are being blocked when using those ads, causing them to crash to the Home screen.
If not, try turning your screensaver off to see if that helps.
If not, I suggest reporting the issue to Amazon to see if they have any advice. Good luck!

Tried all those options but the fire stick still on the boot logo. Tired the amazon web site and they seems to know that they have an issue.

@FireTVSticks I leave the fire stick overnight and still in the boot loop. Unfortunately, I don't have another one to test the cable.
@FireTVSticks...... why does my firestick keeps going back to "my apps" screen after selecting a movie from "Exodus"?
Could be because the addon no longer works, or you are selecting a file that's too big or an unsupported resolution.
Try a different addon or select a smaller file.
My recommended addons can be found on my website firetvsticks.com.
The tv shows that the firestick is not connected to the hdmi port.
Have you tried a different USB port or a different TV?
I've tried all the methods you recommend including the factory reset and nothing responds should I get a new firestick
How long did you leave the Firestick powered on for? Did safe mode not work? If none of these methods worked for you, contact Amazon for possibly help with the cost of a replacement.

@FireTVSticks I used chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. I did have my vpn on. I tried to reply to your email, but my reply was rejected. As of today the site still shows at not secure.

@@FireTVSticks the turning off top works but it still is a pain to do that everytime and sometimes you have to turn off like two times to fix it. Sometimes I turn on the tv and play pubg 😀 and after I come back it opens.
I just purchased a soundbar with a subwoofer for my tv. Which audio setting on the Fire Stick would be optimal for the best sound,Best Available, Dolby Digital plus or PCM?
Depends on what your soundbar supports. I suggest referring to your soundbar manual for help and advice on the best setup.

Thank you for your help, yes it was the power supply ,cheap dollar store cable with extention cord was the culprit in my case, It was stuck in Boot loop.
Factory reset wont work for me... No message comes up when i hold down right and back...

I’ve got 3 fire sticks they all work on my living room tV but won’t work on my kitchen tV all stuck on the boot loop. So I bought a new tv for the kitchen and they all won’t work just like before. Yet I unplug them and try them in the front room and they all work. Very strange and frustrating

Thanks so much for your channel which of the UK Firestick channels I find the clearest and most comprehensive. Fortunately I live in Portugal and therefore always use VPN for security and access. One anomaly I am unable to solve concerns UKTV Play.
I have a standard Firestick, a 4K Max and a Fire TV all connected to the same network and same VPN, though never all at once. I can access UKTV Play from the standard Firestick and the Fire TV without problem, but although correctly installed on the 4K max, it will not play after the opening screen. I invariably get the 'Whoops there seems to be something wrong' screen. Any ideas. I have exhausted my Firestick magic, (switch off, switch on, uninstall, reinstall etc) to no avail. Everything else loads and works perfectly except UKTV Play.
Are you using the UKTV Play app or accessing via a web browser? If the app is not working on your 4K Max, try accessing the UKTV Play website via a web browser instead.
@@FireTVSticks Thanks for the idea. The point I was making was that the App works on my Xiaomi Fire TV and on my standard Firestick, but not on the 4K Max which is connected to my Samsung TV. I wondered if it could be the reason. The standard stick is connected to a Xiaomi 32" internet TV. The difficulty of connecting to websites using the onscreen keyboard is the reason we need apps.
@@FireTVSticks Actually I have just spent about half an hour trying to sign in to UKTV Play on my TV. After logging on you need to use the 5 digit code displayed - except there is nothing displayed. I managed to get past that, the difficulty being trying to use a cursor with your remote. Then it comes up that there is an ad blocker which you have to disable. To my knowledge I have no ad blocker on my TV as I watch all other stuff with ads on unless my Nord VPN has one. I give up!
EUREKA. I went to Nord and turned off Threat protection lite, and managed to play the UKTV play app after jumping through further sign in hoops. Really I shouldn't have to turn off threat protection in Nord just to watch an app. Why?
