The most impressive person in this lore video is the assassin who single-handedly marched into Cyrodiil, killed the emperor, injured Tiber Septim, and on top of all that, set the palace ablaze and left in one piece. The gods should've ascended him instead lol.
Loved the video, excellent ending. I was thinking the entire time that I felt like I was listening to Talosian propaganda with no mention of Hjalti or Wulfharth or Zurin or the Mantella etc. Can't wait for the inevitable part 2!

the end got me. I was expecting you to have simply fallen for all the distinctly modern Nord orthodoxy (why else completely ignore the badass eldritch machine god mecha), but knowing it was a bit shines a light on the tone set for the whole video. Great job, I had a chuckle.
These videos are really helpful for me. I've never liked reeading non-fiction and even in a fictional world like Skyrim i've never liked reading their fantasy history books as they read just as boring as modern history books. However the history of the elder scrolls is very interesting and I really enjoy hearing you explain it.

There is also Sheogorath from Skyrim during the quest "The Mind of Madness", confirmed that Tiber Septim did in fact ascended as Dragon God as he converses with Pelagius III. A lot of people miss this certain dialogue whenever they prove if Tiber did ascend.
It's not really a qustion of whether he did so much as whether he's worthy of worship, and just how powerful he is. In some respects he's more like a Daedra, in others it's almost as if he mantled Lorkhan (I'm convinced that's true, certainly enough betrayl for it.)
I think the largest evidence that Talos was indeed divine and deserved to be worshiped comes from The Knights of the Nine Storyline. Even Pelinal Whitestrake couldn't banish Umaril's soul from the mortal plane, but he said that now in this time(the time of The Crusaders), the knights had something they never did, the risen ninth divine Talos. After defeating Umaril's physical aspect only with Talos' blessing are you able to travel the the realm which Umaril's soul takes sanctuary and banish it from Mundus. So clearly Talos' has the ethereal power to transcend the planes of existence and and the aspect of omnipotent righteousness that helps define the other of the 8 divines.
the problem with the elder scrolls franchise is that the story is streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeched because of the massive amount of side quests but if you take your time and try to piece the story together it is truly beatifull.
Tiber septim was given ancient powerful dwenmer technology which he used to subdue a lot of these continents. Also had a dragon rain hellfire on hammerfell

There was something to him in Skyrim, firstly the graybeards tell the Dovakiin that he is Talos/Tiber Septim reborn, calling him Yisgrimr. Secondly, when the PC ended up in Soverngaurd, Talos is no place to be found and the player is able to sit in his seat of power within Soverngaurd. The PC is not supposed to be able to do that, none but Tiber can. Something else to think about...

Hey, just finished watching your lore playlist. Your videos are great! However, I think there are more content in Dawn and Merethic Eras' lore that you haven't covered yet.
Honestly i've always wanted to know the lore of TES but i've not played any of the games other than Skyrim and even in skyrim i'm too lazy too read the books so thanks a lot because not only do you summarize but also make it a bit graphic which is quite awesome!
You forgot the part where he executed both aspects of the Underking to form the Mantella to power the Numidium due to the absence on the Heart of Lorkhan; He used the Numidium- gifted by the Tribunal- to conquer much of the world. It could be said that, considering Morrowind was only conquered after Skyrim, High Rock, and Hammerfell, that the Numidium played a key role in quashing the Altmer, who would have been extremely formidable at the time.
7:50... eh... the imperials conquered Hammerfell in a brutal war, not diplomatic means. Only the now weakened Forebearers welcomed them, the Crowns and king Cyrus resisted fanatically.

The closest example of an Elf that might have went to Sovengarde was the elf Henantier the Outsider who was one of the Harbingers of the Companions a Nord establishment. But I can’t prove he worshipped Nord Gods. So who knows.

What about in the Knights of The Nine expansion? In the critical part of the story, his blessing is a good evidence that he ascended to divinity.

And in the main story of oblivion, you needed an artifact that belongs to the aedra or 9 divines, and using Talos' breastplate works.

One other evidence to prove Talos became a divine is when he isn't anywhere to be found in Sovangarde at the end of Skyrim's main story line
Not necessarily evidence, since Talos' race isn't set in stone.
Him not being in Sovngarde could also mean he just wasn't a Nord.

One correction: Talos wasn't from Atmora, he was born in one location of High Rock (island of Alcaire I think). It was confirmed in game.
