Can you use this method to change the color of the vehicle?

Yup but takes a lot of work to get right which I think I was part way towards.

@@CarAndMechanical so you thinn like 1ltr of paint to 500 ml white spirit or thinner ? I'm looking for top coat over the Raptor fail . Rustoleum seems okay or any industrial paint . By roller of course 🤔

Not good using white spirit to thin it out, use rustoleum thinners and get some Valspar enamel hardener from the USA on Ebay

Cheers - hopefully this helps others - tbh I did this on the tightest budget possible and there's a number of things I'd do differently now.
Sadly the car was written off (crashed into last Jan) but it was unique. I think doing it again I'd spray it with with the recommended thinners .

Which Grit do you use for the sand paper ?

Good point Ill add an annotation when I can. I think 240 or 320 - it's not the biggest factor imo as you will layer up over it.
There is a balance between speed of work and how aggressive you want the sand too, where say on the rust fixes I could afford to go in at times with 60 grit.

CarAnd Mechanical Alright :) waiting for a "friend" to repaint the car but if he doesn't hurry I'll try it myself

+TehKaramelo yep. I actually haven't yet done this but thinking to get it done and finished off over the next week or so.
