THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER!! ⬇️⬇️ like if you’re ready to play ⬇️⬇️
you cam go to your account and see how many hours you have on each game
For sure! Damn right I'm ready to play it! The gamestop closest to me said 120 people pre-ordered the game, they'll be having a big Thursday midnight launch with big crowds and they'll be having 13 collectors edition, which is been trying to get for months with no avail. So that means I have to post up for a couple of hours3cto be in that 13 people bracket to get one.
I’ve been ready for about 5 1/2 years! 😝 I’m waaaay more than ready!!
The depths are very important for progression...there's a lot of incentive to explore every inch of the map
Already playing
Also i want to give you Kudos for being so respectful of not spoiling the elements of the game that so many of us have been doing our best not to read about or see before the game is officially released. You're covering the right elements of the game that get us all excited while not ruining our future experience. Thank you
Appreciate you 🙏🏻
I’m really hoping that this time, when you defeat the final boss, you get to unlock Zelda as a companion instead of having your progress get reset to just before the game’s end.
Same!
That would be sick maybe if there are like dark malice enemy’s she just seals them away witch would be pretty sick
Why would you want to play as Zelda anyway
I call dibs Zelda will be playable in the TOTK Expansion Pass. Else, in the next Zelda game for their next generation console, implied by Nintendo.
too bad, it has no post game so that won't happen
Instructions unclear: I put the fire emitter on the balloon and it popped 🥲😂
Use wood 🪵 hint hint🙂
honestly that sounds like a mistake I’d commit lmfao
@@Veron-q4o lol same
As soon as it was announced at bestbuy I preordered it for 59.99 now the priced has changed but they are honoring the first initial price they set lol
And about the price thing - agreed! I really never understood criticism on new games within huge franchises. At this point, it's the norm, ESPECIALLY with a new Zelda game. I remember my mom buying new games for the Playstation 1 that were $60+ dollars back THEN.
Especially a weird complaint when Nintendo has the voucher (and who doesnt have a second Nintendo game they wont want in the next year?), and sales a few times a year that drop many first party games 10-20%, which brings it to $50-60, bam, you got it at previous price
This means waiting a few months maybe, but oh well, "poor" people problems, but life cant be all nice and sweet. Its a first world problem lol
And I will be a person waiting a month or 2 to play (wouldnt matter the price) but I am not going to feel like a victim.
Because the pricing isnt based on how good the game is or much it cost to make. Its a flat rate which is an issue
Nah the price can be an issue if you’re buying digitally. There’s no “shipping or handling” when it comes to digital so they need to discount digital purchases😂
Playstation one games were 50 dollars so were playstation 2 the 60 dollar for a game bump came with playstation 3/ xbox 360 generation.
@@Rickbogs was about ask where they were getting games above $49.99 before 2006. Especially playstation. Now Nintendo did have a Era of $60-$80 (NES) but they were heading the market and felt their technology was worth it at the time.
Pat out here doing influencing, in the best way possible.
I picked up BOTW again, after years of not playing - because of Pat.
Now I’m riding first class on the Tears of the Kingdom HYPE train
the wait is unbearable. I need a ToTK support group
Me too bro
Same lol
One of my favorite parts about Skyrim was the caves/dungeons you could stumble upon. Without spoiling too much, are any of the 400 caves up to par with Skyrim’s?
Yes!!
I’m scared how into this game I am
The only games I have ever been into this much were mid this is a very good game I’m scared
Tarnished: "What's this? You mean your open world game doesn't have crazy floating islands nor awesome subterranean worlds to explore?"

Tarnished: "Right?! They probably think they can get by just scattering icons all over a mini-map!"

As huge as botw's open world was, I can barely wrap my head around "2 1/2 times the size" 🤯
After yesterday episode of KOTK, I ordered the game even though I haven’t played BOTW, but I’m excited to play without the knowledge of BOTW! I recommend to watch Nintendo’s nifty recap BOTW story video if you’re like me.
We are on the same boat! This ll be my first Zelda game!
@@ShinyPixelgon your first?!? :o I hope you love it!
If you havn't played BOTW at all then I can recommend the UA-camr Zeltik's recent very in depth recap of BOTW'S story and the events which preceded it.
@@simonorourke4465 Thanks, I’ll check it out!
@@simonorourke4465 I watched Zeltik’s video, it’s so detailed and helpful I have to thank you again for your recommendation!
Now I just need Nintendo to release a remastered Twilight Princess for the Switch.
Oh cool Skyrim! People have really been underrating it the past few years, I rarely see it in the top 5 games lists of the 2010s, when its literally the most ICONIC open world game of all time.
It set the standard!
@@NintenTalk Not only did it set the standard, but it still to this day gets support in the modding community, gets more re-releases than most other games, and overall, it's just a unique experience every playthrough. I agree in that it's #1 of all time (in my own list too). As for my other two, that remains to be seen, I just beat BOTW last night for the first time, so I don't even know if I can put that one in my top three.
Normally when doing top 10s I limit myself to 1 game per franchise but I think tears of the kingdom will break that trend since I love botw to much to discount it I might genuinely just cheat and put them in the same spot
I thought you said you were gonna put that microphone on a stand last video... 😅
It’ll happen 😂😭😭
got 'em
You, my good fellow, are a saint.
You do so much to provide brilliant informative hype without spoiling anything. I very much appreciate that!
TotK gave a feeling I haven't felt since Elden Ring
Mmmm yes daddy
Lol, you say that as if elden ring didn't just come out
Elden Ring >
Look at Pat with his $10 words! Verticality, fancy. Thank you for these spoiler free reviews, get hype for Friday!!!
So, now, with your experience on, what score you would give to totk or what you expect totk to score?
If you give an interval, is the same.
I’m guessing TOTK will score in the high 90’s!
Tears of the Kingdom makes Breath of the Wild look like a tech demo
I'm pretty sure that's what Nintendo has officially said.
Finally no longer i have to hold Twilight Princess on such a high pedestal.
I love the title being kinda a double entendre with there literally being TIERS OF THE KINGDOM (like layers of the world, sky islands and underground)
Also the word “tear” could mean crying or it could mean tear as in cause damage to, which is also an amazing thing because they both make sense
Thank you for the thorough review! I'm really excited to check out all the new features.
I wonder if a zonai charge arrow would be similar to an ancient arrow
They are essentially the same game, but the main difference between them is that Tears of the Kingdom has you relying so heavily on the creative freedom that its gameplay style has to offer, that you get a feeling of defenselessness and vulnerability in Breath in the Wild.
I've been playing it for 2 days now and I need to tell everyone waiting that it will be worth it 😭 they managed to make a very similar game that looks and plays fresh and new. It's so freaking fun! Hang on tight friends!
How are you playing it early?
@@Juxxer my preorder from BB was ready for pickup on sunday
@@Juxxer got really lucky I guess?
tears is a good game but overhyped AF its a good open world game but if we compare to other open world games its not the best
I dont know. I have the feeling that the game will become boring very quickly since it is basically breath of the wild with a little more features added.
I’m Ngl I’m already feeling this. As much as I am enjoying the game, Now that I’ve done all 5 dungeons and got all the memories, master sword and have thouroughly explored the 3 maps I’m just starting to feel like I’m playing BOTW again I was really hoping that there would be a lot more new civilisations and maybe a few new races of characters put into this game heck it would have been really cool if maybe a new castle town was being built on the great plateau to mimic OOT’s main town, maybe a new lon lon ranch and some towns scattered across central hyrule etc but nope the surface world feels very similar with a few major changes to the iconic locations of BOTW beyond that it’s just the exact same. Lookout landing is literally the only new and original town in the entire map.
BOTW is more like an upscaled Wii U game since it was designed for the Wii U initially. Makes sense that TOTK looks better. Still impressive though!
So BOTW at least in Germany now also is 69 Euro in the Nintendo eShop.
"This isn't really, yunno, what game should you buy. I feel like it's a pretty clear cut answer..." he says
I agree, the answer is both games
It's mind boggling that this game is only a little over 16 gigs

@@tylerjacobs3636 hey that’s 10pm for me! Thanks for correcting me.
The video was great, but when it comes to the feeling of loneliness that isn't something that totk is going for. In this sequel even though Ganondorf has returned your victory from the past game still has an effect on the world. More people are around, and in general, the world is a lot more active. Even the new mechanic that will not be named adds to that. Like the trailer said, "you are not alone."
Yeah excellent point, i think the mechanic is a clear sign that the game doesn’t want to give you that sense of loneliness, melancholy and fear that was such a big part of botw
Is there any huge quests to complete? I know in BOTW I absolutely loved “From the Ground Up” so I hope there’s something like that in this game!
I'm really hoping for more quests like eventide Island
I've been calling this game "Breath of the Wild too (2)" just because it seems more like Breath of the Wild 1.5. It's more than DLC but feels like the same game just with everything re-skinned into Zonai stuff and new lore.
Here's everything that's basically exactly the same: SPOILERS!

It's more than dlc or Is just the first game with everything reskinned? Decide yourself you f***er
Sounds like dlc to me?
Yeah that's true, but we can spoiler here?
The story is much more presents, there are new kind of "missions", there are thematicdungeons, powers feels so different, there is (SPOILERS) and you have nearly 1.5 extra map. So it feels to me more than botw 2, more like the true sequel to botw
So basically the beginning of the game and some of the features are the same? Wonderful, welcome to making a sequel 101.
@@zegunugu3162I would disagree actually, the dungeons are different with the exception of the goal and I’m not just saying that because I saw leaks ok.
I love your intro for some reason 😂 the tune is just so nice
10 hours in and it's already way better than BOTW in lots of ways
Thank you random dude I'm recently back in the Nintendo landscape ever since the Nintendo GameCube!! With the switch light, and it's awesome took a break from PlayStation after selling my PS4 pro but now back with the PS5. The switch is awesome for private time or out on the go or on vacation. Breath of the wild has been dope so far amongst Dragonball fighterz being fun on it along with Metroid Dread and shredder's revenge. You got my sub.
Does it feel like a true sequel or does it feel like an expansion?
That’s my main concern, that it’ll feel too samey. Similar to Mario Galaxy 2 to how it felt like just more Mario Galaxy and didn’t really do much to differentiate itself. Is it like that?
Expansion
@@juve3030 says the guy who has 100% the game on emulator 2 weeks before launch. Or am i wrong, dude?
@Xf3rn4 96 I've been playing it for a week on my modchiped switch. It's practically the same game as botw with alot of new stuff. It's alot more fun but with the same drawbacks. My biggest complain is non-voiced npcs, uninteresting story and alot of bad music.
A lot of… bad music?
I’m sorry, I want the video maker to assert this, I can’t take that reply seriously. 🤣
@AintThatAPotOfEffLuck there's too much boring piano music that kills the excitement of the game. The games not on the level of Koji Kondos work.
Are the powers like Ultrahand, Fuse, Recall, and Ascend upgradeable as in they may still have the same function but maybe upgrading Recall extends the time on it or something?
that may be dlc content
It absolutely walks all over BOTW
BOTW was way too sparse and the puzzles were far too easy.
The return of dungeons is still kinda needed in a way, But idk, this game feels like a good game to me and not some empty overhyped sandbox like BOTW did
The sense of exploration and depth is far more akin to Elden Ring with how surprising some of the caves/islands/depths are, BOTW you kinda knew it was just that one big mass from the jump.
If you use a multi-arrow bow, then fuse a material on it, does it multiply the materials as well?
I think there isnt any x2 or x3 bows, hacdnt found one after 25 hours of gameplay
Yes! It makes exploring certain areas wayyy easier
That's because you aren't nearing the end of the game
Ive had a x2 bow and when using bombs it only applies to thr first one
Weird question, but I’m just curious. Can you pick up weapons with ultra hand the same way you could do with metal weapons and magnisis in botw?
Yes and items too
Basically, if it's not nailed to the ground, ultrahand should work on any item ;)
I own just about all the Zelda games. Except for the Sony ones and I also own one of three that was only released in Japan for Famicom system. Most of the systems except for some of the 3DS's. So getting this game and the limited edition system where none of the colours match are a must for me unfortunately
Ok
The game awards is going to be such a landslide lol
Are caves actually connecting the depths and the overworld? Or is it just the chasms?
They're interconnected, and the caves are also the same size as the overworld map
Tears of the Kingdom is definitely a more challenging game. I actually have to take the Bokoblins more seriously lol.
Hyped for the game! Amazing video once again. Out of 10, how would you rate BOTW and TOTK respectively? 🍍
Both 10/10 but it want a more critical score years later
BOTW 8.5
TOTK 9.5
Tears of the Kingdom uses the same Hyrule as Breath of the Wild, but a lot has changed since the events of Calamity Ganon!! I stopped by Kakariko Village to pay Impa a visit, only to find that she...well, you'll need to find that out for yourself
I use to do all the first part of the master sword trial with bomb(except the cyclop dude) just to save food weapon etc if they do ad it to this game I’m gonna be dam sad 😂
My question is (without spoilers)… if someone plays TotK first, and then goes back to play BotW for the first time afterwards… do you think said person would feel like they’re just playing a downgraded version? Obviously there’s less content, but do you think there’s enough differences between both games to where said person would still find interest and value in BotW as a prequel, even after they finish TotK?
(I am not said person- I’ve played all Zelda games, minus TotK for now. Just a hypothetical.)
Yes it will feel like a downgrade compared to what all has been added in Tears of the kingdom
It will seem bland going back so it's good if you play breath of the wild before tears of the kingdom
I haven’t played it, but I feel like it won’t feel downgraded. Botw has many types of guardians (and we know totk doesn’t have those), botw also has glitches like daruks perfect parry. Even without glitches it won’t feel like a downgrade because botw has stasis(you can use it on enemies too) and bombs, as well as elemental arrows.
@@Zigzag8 We’ll see after it releases. I feel people will say that BotW is obsolete for a few years with all the TotK buzz, but will eventually go back and appreciate BotW again in the future. Even if it has less, it has its own separate content, quests, story, mechanics, (from what I hear, outfits too), characters, ways of progression, etc. I think people are overwhelmed, impressed, and hyped with TotK right now, which makes BotW feel pointless, but once all of that dies down in some years… I still think TotK will be seen as superior, but I don’t think BotW will be seen as ‘irrelevant’ or ‘obsolete’ as some are saying now during the initial hype-fest.
Agreed
Ok I'm convinced you don't have a mic stand
😂😂
I wish doing to the depths was totally optional otherwise I’d never go there, basically are forced to mine zonite.
I hope for dlc we get some sort of upgrade to the sages powers where we find the champions in their spirit forms giving their abilities to the sages to improve their powers
ToK is like a modern day BS Legend of Zelda, or like SMB Lpst Levels. Very much expands on the previous title and keeps the base game very much the same.
can you go back into the dungeons once you've completed them?
Yes
Can I get "handheld microphone" merch? Thanks.
Damn bro, you're really milking having an early copy for everything you can lmao.
Some people told me hyrule didn’t change and the game feels very DLC and others say it’s amazing…
I don’t know who to believe,I’m anxious and upset the game leaked because I hear all these opinions but I cannot make my own…
I haven't played BOTW in 4 years so I wouldn't mind if Hyrule hasn't changed much but I can see how that's annoying for someone that's recently played it.
I have yet to see anyone who played totk early say it feels very DlC. Even people who leaked out the game said it was impressive and didn't feel like DLC.
@@realgamer3948
I was watching a video on botalks I commented about totk and 2 people said it’s very much just botw with extra abilities
That hyrule and towns didn’t change much and there’s little surprises in terms of exploration
@@painuchiha2694 unfortunately I've seen a couple of leaks accidentally but i can assure you the game is not a carbon copy with new abilities there's a lot more not gonna say anything but its really exiting
@@painuchiha2694 I mean you don't even know if those 2 people commenting actually played the game, because literally anyone can just say it's DlC.
I personally believing people who actually played totk over some random people in the comments who hasn't played the game calling it DLC
My guy was going Dora the Explorer on us
I am just curious. So far, the armor sets that I collected do not have any extra bonuses (i.e. Royal guards set which gave extra stamina on BotW) is there any point in collecting the set, other than just having it? Also. My biggest dislike about Tokt is the korok "take me to my friend" and having to build contraptions all the time.
But the burning question is...did you mount the mic yet?
I hd to order a new mount 😭
People keep saying this game is harder and last night I had a dream I was finally playing TotK but as soon as I ran into an enemy camp they were attacking me so fast that I couldn't do anything and I was freaking out lol
Ive been playing it too id rank it some where between my little pony greatest adventure and superman 64
This was very informative without giving too much away. One question that I do have is regarding your comment on dungeons. Whenever you say that they are better themed, do you mean thematically/ambience? I.E. A dungeon focused on water themes, another focused on a forest, etc.
I think that is something that really bothered me about BotW's Divine Beasts. It kind of felt like once you played one, you played them all (copied bosses did not help with this).
Holding off for Master Mode, but looking forward to it.
Only complaint about BotW was the paper weapons, but all it made me do is avoid most of the combat a lot (literally never did a mob zone after the first time using 3 weapons to get a chest that gave me one of the same weapons that I had used), but it does make the game feel more threatening so... That's still a thing here, I read, which is annoying, but meh, I get it.
Nobody minds the weapons breaking, but the game should spawn weapons with about 1/4 the frequency and 4x the durability.
Glad it's a good game, regardless.
Hey man, love your videos and content! awesome stuff!! 🍍
Take Breath of The Wild and everything you loved it for and crank it up to 1000. That’s Tears of The Kingdom.
hope i'm not completely disappointed, i'm not hearing much of any of the things i want most but the stuff that is there according to you at least seems like it will be very fun while it lasts. they should have added roguelite elements for perpetual novel experiences that utilize all the new mechanics in virtually endless novel situations using randomly generated puzzles, encounters, collectibles etc with existing assets
do this,
-random enemies/bosses roaming around with random equipment and loot etc
-random weather/environmental phenomena/natural disasters/etc
-guy you talk to who spawns 100 collectibles randomly across entire map
-you have a special compass to pont you towards them but it takes a special fuel
-puzzle orbs spawn randomly across the map
-when you pick them up the destination you need to deliver them is randomly generated, you use vehicles and structures ect to get it there while all the other random elements are in play to make that more interesting
-when you get it there it opens up and gives you fuel for magic compass, repeat as necessary
-when you find them all report back, get some special integral resource, recycle process
then to make it amazing,
-there is something like a floating island that casts a giant shadow and roves around the map semi-randomly stopping here and there before moving for some time and stopping again
-everything in the shadow has special properties like it is a dark world of sorts with different enemies and drops and visuals etc
-there are 3 such islands with unique properties, when any 2 overlap their properties combine into something greater, when all 3 the greatest
-you cannot enter overlapping shadows unless you were in one when they overlap so you need to follow them inside their field of influence
-if you get inside a triple overlap it spawns some magic fountain in the middle temporarily when you need to deposit that special resource to unlock a special boss fight, once you beat this boss you get special key
-you bring this key to special place where there are 3 keyholes and you can place it inside and activate, now there is a permanent new enemy type/environmental phenomena/etc in the overworld
-go do the stuff to get more fuel, go back in the triple alignment, new boss battle new key new permanent modifiers, do this till you get the 3rd key then it unlocks the final ultimate modifiers that just make the level and variety of random crazy stuff happening all over the world at all times be at maximum and then from there the end game is just keep doing this loop and you get some crazy consumable for victory each time
-basically just layer stuff like this formula in whatever ways they can think of, would not diminish the story but would add infinite value, i get the second blurb is a little more difficult but the first part seems easily doable with existing assets and would still just add incalculably much to what it has to offer besides just 100% static then eventually get bored and too familiar
i'm gonna love the game but that's what i'd like most from it, it baffles me why anyone would not want that or why they would not add it to the game in some way if they haven't it would just be too good
it would be nice if shrines and dungeons are replayable with variable levels of increased difficulty, new enemies move some stuff around, make it dark or cold etc change some aesthetics and have in game timer. if they can implement randomness all the better.
another thing i imagine would not be difficult for them to do would just for the hell of it give us the minish cap and let us turn tiny just for the fun of trying to get places on the map, they could give us tiny materials for little vehicles and bokoblins alone would be like massive bosses, rivers would be impossible without a boat, it would just be fun, id love for them to go as far as adding small link specific areas and challenges but even if it did nothing but the fun of doing it id love it.
another thing i forgot to mention before is id like there to be some type of invincible stalker that hunts you wherever you go, this could be the new enemy from the 3rd key
also i thought it would be cool if all the old shrines unearthed and were new improved guardians that were smarter and could hunt you for much further distances and there would be like a bloodmoon type cycle that respawns them and you could challenge yourself to defeat as many as possible
was also hoping for bug catcher net and tons of rare bugs with unique avoidance behaviors to hunt down and for an instrument even if it did nothing but let you play but ideally more, as well as masks with abilities
one thing i love that i saw was that there is true darkness in places, that was on my wishlist and it came true
i would love if they skipped making the next game and just ported this game over to next system and kept adding dlc across the systems entire life cycle, so that they could add all these features as well as entire new kingdoms/depths/secret realms etc beyond the existing boarders
oh yeah, wish food only game stat modifiers but filled hunger and you needed to eat and if you dont then your max stamina begins to temporarily decrease until you have none left and then starts eating at health, but while it is decreased you can still utilize it as though it were there but it does exponential damage. and you can't eat when in battle you need to use potions and need to collect bottles and have to consume them in real time.
Pat.. get your office together! 🤣

Breath of the Wild was FAR from the greatest games ever made, as some Nintendo nerds would have you believe. It was a great game, but a flawed one. Here's hoping TOTK fixes all these issues, which included lacking variety in enemies, no dungeons, interesting bosses, or interesting quests.
Champion abilities are way better than the new companion Abilities
Looks like they took notes from Elden Ring by making a huge underground area
I think Elden Ring probably came out too late in totk development, I'm happy for this similarity though I loved Elden Ring underground
@@ryanmassenburg3005 my mind was blown away when I first discovered the underground part in Elden Ring

I’m not sure if you’re willing to answer this, but with 150 shrines will we have the ability to track shrines like we did in BOTW?
Yeah it works pretty much the same
Are the 150 shrines all new? Or do they reuse some of the old ones?
all new. but they feel like re-skinned sheika shrines
New, more difficult, more fun but they are shrines at the end

just beat it today at 90 hours
Im really not excited that weapon breaking has returned. These spoilers are what i need to push me into buying it. I just don’t like to be fustrated
if you fuse a weapon to something it resets the durability when your done with that too just defuse it and fuse it to something else and that's it

Appreciate the video though!

Thank you for your opinions on both of the games. When you mentioned about the sense of being alone in a situation where something bad had happened - would not it be cool if Nintendo would to take that same feeling and game play for a new zombie apocalypse genre?

The difficulty puts me off. I don't enjoy getting absolutely crushed so I'm sticking with botw.
I'm going to pay an extra $10 for the game I've been playing BOTW I just completed the Shrines and I'm going to go through the Trial of the Sword
In Canada. the tears of Kingdom cost me a hundred bucks Canadian
So how many dungeons and bigger than divine beasts or about the same? Heard bosses are way better.
Totk got too much freedom while botw is do what you need to do
How did he get the game
I can only buy one game. Which one should I get?
The answer is easy. If you haven't played either, start with BOTW
How did you get it this early? Without Nintendo being upset, I mean.
Supplier probably sent it early by mistake. It happens.
