I can already smell the angst that going to be coming from this book. Nico is already a kind of hot headed character, he likes to do things by himself and knows how he wants it done. So Will insisting on going is going to cause some tension.
When I first saw that, my first thought at the thing Nico was pointing at is Nyx's Palace... And the green-ish, yellow-ish mist kinda reminds me of Akhlys, though that's just my interpretation. I may be wrong 😭 Also, can we just take a second and appreciate how Will is staring with so much love, determination, and reassurance at Nico? 💛✨
I LOVE the title!!! Solangelo is my #1 ship, and Nico is my favourite character, so I think he is so deserving of having his own standalone book (with Will)! It occurs to me that Nico has never had an actual quest before, which surprises me because he's definitely one of the strongest demigods. I can't wait to see more into their relationship as in Trials of Apollo, we didn't get to see too much! I'll be happy with it as long as they stay alive and together. 🤞

I have a few thoughts! First, while Nico and Will are holding hands on the cover call mom Will seems to be grabbing Nico‘s right hand with his right hand, it looks more like he’s holding Nico back rather than holding it romantically. Which fits with the rest of the cover with Nico being worried and gesturing toward the doors. so the goal is to bring back Bob, small Bob, and Denison from Tartarus. That’s three souls to be liberated so it makes sense if three souls would have to stay behind. But what if they are not the souls of living people? Could Nico have to sacrifice the souls of his mother, sister, and Jason? Three people who meant a lot to him? What if their ghosts come back and try to help during the quest? Although, I’m pretty sure Nico sister has already been reincarnated so maybe it’s not her but someone else? I can’t wait for this book!

May I ask why you hate reading in English? Since English is the original language and all books/shows/movies/etc are better to be consumed in their OG language most of the the time, so i'm curious on what makes you hate it. @@RenHeng_canon that wasn't rude at all, and sorry for the late reply, i didn't realise you asked 😅 it takes me more time to read in english and i have to focus harder in order to understand it. it's just easier for me to whip throught the text in my native language, so my attitude is pure laziness hahahah and also i'm often annoyed when i don't understand a word and have to check it out. i just put my comfort very high when it comes to reading, and if i can make the whole process easier, i will do it! this doesn't mean i don't read in english, i do, i just generally prefer my language in literature :)
I'm do excited, Solangelo is my fav ship in Percy Jackson Besides that, I wanted to put a personal theory I've had about the title: So the Sun and the other stars shine equally, but the us observers, the Sun seems brighter, and the stars dimmer, because of the darkness and distance around them. But, in truth, they again shine equally bright. I think this correspond to Will and Nico respectively. Will is the Sun, not only because of his godly parent, but because of his perceived charm and kindness for being a son of Apollo. Nico, on the other hand, is ignored, for bring dark and intimidating. The main reason is because if the "darkness" that others think surrounds him, and how he distances himself from everyone. But, if you truly get to know Nico, he can be as bright as the Sun. His heart shines as bright as everyone else's, but only if you try to get to know him

Rick seems to genuinely care about diversity in his books, and I doubt he would kill off his main LGBT couple. That's why I think a third person will be with them. I could also be totally wrong, because literally anything can happen, but that's just my 2 cents.

Teh doors can’t be the entrance to any place, bc they look like gates, so they are the entrance to something out doors, my guess is gates to the underworld, but why would Nico be pointing at it? He’s been to the underworld millions of times. At this point, everybody has. I guess it could be the doors of death, and Nico could be pointing at it bc he was arguing about somebody passing through it to escape or something. The idea of it being the palace of Nix is interesting, and would make this very full of possibility. Although they look like gates, it could still be the entrance to the garden. If they meet Nix, then it would be twice as dangerous as when percabeth met Nix, bc she’l be in a bad mood for being tricked last time. Last thing, it would be cool if they talked more about the realm of Chaos, below Tartarus. It would make it even more interesting.

Given the line of a prophecy displayed in the synopsis, Nico has to leave something equal in value Behind. Now, we know from HOH that the only way out of tartarus is the doors of death, and to ride that elevator, you have to hold the button for 12 minutes, meaning someone has to stay behind. HOWEVER- since the book is about Will and Nico, the chances of one of them staying behind to close said doors are slim. (And the possibility of RR killing off one of his main LGBT couples/characters is so unlikely.) So here's the conundrum. Who's going to stay behind? This is where my horrible theory/fear comes in. My fear is this: That Percy Jackson is going to stay behind to push that button. (And possibly Annabeth too, but we'll get to that.) Now, Percy's fatal flaw is loyalty. If he finds out about this quest, I have no doubt he'd go with Will and Nico, because not only would he want to keep them safe, but given the fact that Bob helped he and Annabeth escape, he'd also go for Bob himself. And you KNOW that if Percy goes to tartarus again, Annabeth is going to follow him. And here is where my fear really comes in. Assuming Percabeth goes with Solangelo into tartarus, who is going to stay behind and close those doors to the Underworld? Well. Who's fatal flaw is loyalty? And who would NEVER let said hero stay in Tartarus alone? TLDR: If Percy and Annabeth are in this book at all, then the chances of them either dying or getting stuck in Tartarus again are incredibly high/likely.

The rating is 4.9/5 on good reads. The last Olympian only a measly(compared to the Sun and the Star) 4.5/5 on good reads.
