nico is single handedly the only character to appear consistently and evenly through all the greek series. even percy wasnt consistent (he was barely in TOA)
he deserves his own book.
He's been in 9 books, and had probably the best character development of anyone imo, all while having only one book as a POV character, this is long overdue.

I saw the tweet and legit started yelling yes and screeching and running around the house I’m not even exaggerating I legit did that. Nico and will as characters has helped me mentally a lot regarding my sexuality and I am so glad they are getting a book .

I appreciate ricks effort, but I feel like giving this book another perspective and authenticity by someone who can connect on another level is a great move. But seriously, if they don’t have wills perspective and give him another personality I’m gonna be mad. Like full on villain gone crazy mad, except in fangirl form
Rick is very inclusive and all his books in trials of apollo, magnus chase are very diverse.... Even heroes of olympus! I dont know who mark is im sure (i dont know the pronouns) is nice, but can we please treat the community as normal? As (pronoun) shouldnt be the only reason to like mark, im sure (pronoun) is really nice that shld be our reason to like mark even as an author
@@archertwinsies43 Like I said, I appreciate ricks effort but even he’s admitted that he doesn’t completely understand what it’s like to be in certain communities. One of the reasons I love the universe is because of the inclusion, and I’m not denying that he is an amazing author who’s trying his best to make people feel connected to the characters, simply that it will be interesting to see a writer who has different connections to the community write from Nico (and maybe wills too) perspective

Personally, I am very glad he added a co-author that is part of the LGBTQ+ community. As a queer person myself, usually you can tell if a queer character is written by a queer or straight person. Sensitivity readers are a good thing! And Rick is an experienced enough writer to ensure his style throughout the PJO universe stays consistent throuhout. Sooooo excited for the book and to see my children again

I am lowkey anxious with this one. I'm afraid he might do Solangelo dirty like he did with Piper and Jason. LOL also if uncle Rick add another more power to Nico's set of abilities I would completely lose it. He is already basically the deus ex machina in the PJ universe so adding another power is just unnecessary.

@@seshinou At this point the only reason Percy is stronger is because he has more stamina imo. Nico's abilities seem to drain him faster(which is good, because otherwise he would be a little too overpowered)
At least we know that Nico will survive until 2020 because in "Un Natale Mezzosangue" he goes to find a gift for Annabeth, with Percy, during COVID. So he will not get killed off. I'm afraid for Will though.

I have a fear that Percy will find out about their plan, and then due to his loyalty to Nico and Bob, he's going to go with them. And then Annabeth obviously won't let Percy go without her, so then will she go too? Basically I'm worried my otp will end up in Tartarus again and I'm not sure I'm emotionally prepared for that. It's bad enough that sweet sunshine child Will Solace may end up in Tartarus, even if it's of his own volition. I DON'T NEED HIM TO HAVE THE SAME EMOTIONAL TRAUMA AS PERCABETH AND NICO

Personnaly, i don t think ( and i don t want ) rick is going to make their relationship suffer, they are going to suffer because they are going into tartarus but rick won t kill one of them or break their relation or something like that because i think that nico had suffered enought his whole life so why would rick make their relation suffer ? I just think that, they are going to tartarus and they are going to support each other, i can clearly imagine a scene where in tartarus nico calm down will and help him going throught. However i can imagine also that rick is going to make us really really really scared like a scene where after a fight will has diseappered and nico start shouting his name and crying for him and there will comes back or something like that, something that really scared us but with an happy ending. ( moreover, if rick dares hurt one of them too much or break their relation or something like that all the fan are going to be really really disappointed even if the book is amazing, all the fan are going to be disappointed ( even more than jason death's case because nico is one of favorite character of the whole fandom ) so that s why i don t think that there is going to be something too much bad for them )

I'm not actually worried about Mark Oshiro being a co-writer. After the announcement I've read a couple of their books and I do think that their writing style will fit well with Rick's. I'm very excited for this book!!
what scares me the most is the co-writing thing, nothing against the other author but rick does his books in such a specific way that another person in the project may take away the feeling of his previous books
also, mark is an incredibly talented author and i highly recommend reading their books

I'm kind of hoping that the voice in Tartarus is Luke (which I know is very unlikely but would still be a great twist!). We don't know where Luke ended up after he died and I know for sure that he didn't get Elysium (sorry but with him literally almost destroying the world I feel like the best he would get from the judges is Asphodal) so maybe he was sent into Tartarus.
Actually when Luke dies he tells Annabeth that he is going to choose rebirth.

I stopped reading the trials of Apollo after the first book because I felt like the stories kind of got dragged out (I started reading Percy Jackson in grade 6 and stopped TOA around grade 8 or 9) I read the Magnus chase books and Kane chronicles too. I'm a big fan of Nico and I'm considering reading this upcoming series. Should I finish the TOA series first?
My prediction base on TOA (I think people use too much info from PJO and HOO series to make prediction. IMO this one follow TOA so I feel it would use more stuff from TOA then the other 2 book in it.) : Just random thought, opinion, and want. (just sharing)
-Jason gonna be in it (His spirit at least and Nico gonna learn the hard way to really let go/going to be a really dark scene/book or maybe Rick will be nice and bring Jason back. I am feeling Nico not gonna like his choices.)
-Will getting more power (Apollo kinda hint that he one of the stronger child of his and Leo is so OP so he could be too) People just always assume it Nico getting buff but I think Will get it more since Apollo mature up. Also would be nice if Hades show up to be kinda fatherly.
-Piper being the 3rd part of the team at some point (she LGBT community, love god daughter and will explore more on her arc on love and love in general) plus again she connect to Jason. I just got a feeling her and Nico and Jason Spirit will have a dark turn. I don;t think Jason coming back so that gonna be a hard choice for both of them to let go for good.
-I would like something about grief cuz it is a kid book. Not many book talk about it and how to deal with it.
-Super dark cuz TOA was sooo dark in some scene. So I think this gonna be darker.
-I hope Apollo give will the blessing of Apollo for a little bit
-Hope Apollo in it a little

-Leo and calypso coming back cuz I feel their relationship is just starting and rocky (And they did meet those lesbian huntress/more LGBT couple)

-Aphrodite or Eros making big appearance in the book (kinda sad if they aren;t especially after piper arc)

The first one ended with will crossing the street, holding nico bridal style and saying he wanted a beautiful woman, not nico

considering rachel and her prophecy i'm 90% sure she gave them a prophecy at the end of tower of nero (SPOILERS FOR TRIALS OF APOLLO) when apollo visits camp at the end after becoming god again, he talked to will and nico and at that moment rachel gave them a prophecy. we didn't get to hear it though, so i'm looking forward to it!

@@leahkentra6016 Yeah, it kind of annoys me, since apparently the fandom has been like that about him ever since HOH. It's true that Nico can be sweet and wonderful sometimes(mostly when he's with Will, I LOVE THEM) but he can still easily murder you and then make your skeleton his bodyguard. This kid is scary.

I'm not a Solangelo fan, mainly because I feel that Will is too much of a side character (I dropped Trials of Apollo halfway through the first book because I found Meg extremely annoying and Apollo barely tolerable. It's been a few years since then, I'm trying to read it again atm. Don't know how much Solangelo content there is tho), while Nico is one of my absolute favourites. I just think their relationship came a bit out of nowhere. But if this new book shows more of their beginnings, then I might actually become a Solangelo fan too, who knows.
Maybe the Co-writing thing is because having so many POVs of characters can make the characters seam similar in the thought processes .That's why getting a different person to help write it may make the POVs less similar in a sense.

@@Unclaimeddemigod i hope you read it soon i have already completed the book but i say that pjo fans will not like it much. it is an average book it even does not have much of the rick riordan humor which i was expexting a lot. even there are not many twist in the book but in the foreword roshnai chokshi says there are a lot of twists. but i can say something you will never understand when you have completed the book.
