In my opinion, they should also have given Yoda a weakness (Hubris), which would make him more interesting as a gaming piece, and it'd be MUCH more in line with his growth as a character from the prequels to the OT. The way he is currently, he's the *WOOOOOAHHH BADASSSS!!!111!*-Yoda, aka the Yoda-carricature for the dumb.
Chewbacca is a great partner for Yoda, and is showing up a lot in Yoda + Wookie melee heavy lists. The Wookie 1 pip is pretty solid if you're holding Yoda's 1 pip for a late game double push or Yoda berzerker play... A tier for sure in Wookie lists, which is kind of the in-fashion list for GAR right now.
Wouldn't Rex add Sharpshooter 1 to the fire support on his 1 pip? Anakin could still gain Standby from Yoda Guidance or Padme Exemplar and its just the 1 turn. Not sure that would change the rating?
When you fire support you use everything of the person who is being fire supported. So if you fire support another squad as Rex you don’t use his surge to hit or his sharpshooter ability.
Call me captain is def not S tier. It is A tier because in order to use it that means you need to be in los and range 2 of anything that gets shot BEFORE you use it. That means leaving him close to the enemy and in los of everything. The enemy has. 9 times out of 10 you’ll get one shot off the board full health and heavy cover and you always lose pip role lol. Don’t think I’ve ever won pip role for call me captain lol, the dice gods hate that card. Clones were primarily a turtle meta with ttc and call me captain did not fit well unless ur enemy is stupid and doesn’t shoot him or is rushing you
Honestly, Luminous Beings Are We is maybe a little tooo strong 😅 and I’m saying this as a part-time GAR player. Especially since you can play it multiple times. It just pushes Yoda to the level where you wonder why you would ever play another jedi commander than Yoda lest you wish to shoot yourself in the foot
Agreed. The only thing is yoda is worth so much that you don’t have many units for objectives. I played transmissions against a yoda player this last weekend with an ani list and yes his yoda was op. But I was able to take control of objectives just bc I had two more activations than him and played defensively to survive.
@@wamsly2334 Yeah I guess. Though it’s still possible to have 8-9 activations with him though. I think Luminous Beings should be nerfed a li’l bit. Being a replayable card you can play up to 3 times in a single game, it does way to much as it stands

No, they only add Weapon keywords, not Unit keywords!

The card just leaves Rex way too vulnerable to actually be useful
