the reason the delay isn’t bothering me too much is the fact that the DLCs are always the best parts of the game, and shadow of the erdtree has had almost 2x the development time of the other dlcs. it is going to be incredible and the more time they spend on it the more excited i get because i feel like its potential to surpass the old hunters and ringed city dlcs rises more and more
Given FromSoft's previous lineup of DLCs, I think it's likely the true antagonist is someone we haven't even heard of before, or have very little knowledge on, such as the Moon or the Blood Star (who may or may not be the Formless Mother). I say this because, in every DLC, it introduces people we've heard of before, while also bringing in new concepts. I haven't played Bloodborne, but in the Dark Souls trilogy, we have (spoilers idk?): Artorias of the Abyss - Artorias, Sif, Gough, and Ciaran show up, but the main antagonist is Manus, Father of the Abyss, someone we'd never heard of up to that point Crown of the Sunken King - It retroactively gives us some backstory on Velstadt, but only through Elana and Sinh, two characters we are unfamiliar with; Crown of the Old Iron King - I believe the Rebel's Greatshield was in the base game, alongside the Alonne Knights, and the helmet that Captain Drummond gives you shares a vague resemblance with Sir Alonne's helmet, but we had no other knowledge on who Raime and Sir Alonne were; Crown of the Ivory King - The "Old Chaos" is of course familiar to us, and Alsanna shares the same connection to Manus as the other children of darkness, but the vessel of the Old Chaos (the Ivory King himself) is new; Ashes of Ariandel - the titular character who was introduced in the DLC trailers, Father Ariandel, is more of an accessory to Sister Friede's fight than anything else, instead having her take the role of the main enemy; and The Ringed City - Slave Knight Gael is only known to us through his very limited presence in the previous DLC, and doesn't show up at all in the base game. In short, the thing I'm most excited about surrounding this DLC is what entirely new content, largely unrelated to anything in the base game, it will throw our way. I'm hoping for at least one outer-space enemy, in the same vein as Astel and the Fallingstar Beasts.
Shadows of The Erdtree is def about Miquella but I have a theory that Godwyn will play a massive role in it as well (primarily since his grotesque body is wrapped around the Erdtree). I have a feeling Godwyn's death and corruption IS the Shadow of the Erdtree
I think shadow of the entree might be referring to a be shattering of the Elden ring or Miquella themselves since they ar every simmiliar to Griffith in betreyal and design
We can also take "Shadow of the Erdtree" very literally. Miquella was up with something of an Eclipse for example. With shadow, they can also mean the Haligtree which was supposed to be a sort of second Erdtree. A "shadow" of the original so to say.
All in all. The Helphen Steeple greatsword found in the mountain tops of giants is one of the best leads we've got. Looking into enemies lore regarding "Those who live in death" might give more clues too, idk keep at it lads.
I think Vaati gave an interesting idea of entering the dlc through the little clearing/grove named after Miquella (I think the name literally means gate or entrance or something) in the Altus Plateau. It would allow for more variety midgame, which I think that's kinda perfect for a dlc. Might just be me though. Mohg just feels so late in the game.
i love the idea of it being miquellas grove and i would prefer it personally but also i think mohg makes sense considering the existence of varres questline and the pureblood knight metal
@@CYCLONYTE I really don't think it will be even that far into the game. My honest bet is something totally unexpected in Limgrave. I don't think they'll want to force players who have entered Ng+ but not played much after to repeat a lot, if any content. Certainly not to get ALL the way to and defeat Mohg just to start the DLC. Every other souls game (apart from DS2) let you access the DLC from the early game for exactly this reason. Even the ringed city which is accessed at the end of DS3 has a shortcut to it at the end of the Ashes DLC, there's no reason for that other than NG+ convenience.
My personal take is that it would be from the corpse of Godwyn. Its behind a few skill checks, but not locked behind any questlines or anything. Idk just a guess.
it was so magic to discover this game as its beginning, when all people playing, the mystery, bro this game is so incredible, my favorite gamme of all time
Agreed, probably the best experience ive ever had playing a game was exploring Elden Ring when it first launched. Couldn’t believe how it just kept going
Just finished a playthrough of elden ring, and it's my 2nd playthrough where I finished the game (I had another one before but my hardware was having issues and now that I have a new computer I can run it). It was my introduction to the souls-like genre, and I absolutely love it. I think the absolute best way to enjoy the game is to do the "two week minecraft phase," where like once every 6 months I get super into the game and replay the whole thing. If the dlc releases soon, I will drop everything and play through it! I can't wait! Thanks for getting me hyped
I want very similar things from the DLC as you. I want it to offer similar things to the base game just better. Better mini dungeons, better weapons, bosses, armor and BETTER GREAT RUNES. Some of them like Mohg's and Malenia's are so bad while Morgott's and Rykard's are just mid IMO. I would also appreciate it if they revamped some late game areas in the base game because the complete lack of new enemies in the snowy areas is such a letdown. I really want them to clarify some lore elements a bit as well. Nothing too concrete but I know even some lore experts are confused about some things. Lastly I would like if they implemented even more verticality in the overworld.
Yeah I feel most of the great runes are kind of a waste. We def need some lore clarification, but that will likely lead to more questions than answers tbh 😅
my wish is that we have a fight in the treetops of the erdtree or haligtree, i want to see an arena underneath the sky but you can see the foliage and branches too. miyazaki has said with sekiro and elden ring they wanted to include more color into their worlds. but on my wishlist is a gray and dead area to explore, like the dreg heap in dark souls 3. thirdly and most unlikely i want to fight a literal outer god in some way, imagine we go to space or something to slay an outer god
Those settings sound awesome! I wonder how a literal outer god boss fight could work. Probably something like the Elden Beast, where its a vessel of an outer god or something like that
The three bosses I am almost certain will show up are Godwin and Miquella, a couple that may appear are the shadows of Malenia and Miquella and one I'm hoping for is a battle with the blind swordsman who taught Malenia and invented waterfowl dance.
I feel the same way and I have a similar story, I tried DS3 several years ago and quit at Abyss Watchers, got Elden Ring cause it won GOTY then played the shit out of it, then returned to DS3 and crushed it and continued to the other games. I love these games so much and I need my DLC now!!!
Honestly, The teaser image for the DLC, looks more like the haligtree... Just the shape and design in general, anyways a cool boss would be another Horah Loux boss but prime Horah Loux
The image is also a woman from way she is straddling torrent which is sideways with both legs together. Men sit with each leg on each side so his theory is wrong.
More than anything I would be really interested to see some info about Godwyn, because I'm not sure what's actually going on with him, the specifics of living in death aren't really explained. There is a lore ghost in front of the death touched catacombs likens it to refusing the call of the erdtree, so maybe Godwyn is essentially stuck in purgatory while his body is living a second life, which would be really interesting. We know Miquella was trying to find a way to restore lost souls to their body, so maybe the ultimate goal of the DLC will be finding a way to cure Godwyn and reuinite his soul with his body
It's crazy it's already been 2 years and I'm still just awestruck by this game. I find new stuff big and small after 100+ runs and I'm so hyped for the dlc.
Seeing and playing Elden Ring after growing alongside the soulsborne franchise was such a great emotional experience to see the love child of all that came before
I want to see some unique dual wield weapons. Like crow quills or farron greatsword. If we want a fair death blight build, I would say something with a high buildup, bit difficult to land ability would be nice.
I think we may get some quality of life improvements as well, relative to PvP. More message options. More alteration options with Box. I'm hoping that the dlc comes with a time limit on spirit summons, but doubt it
Love the speculation video. Agree on alot; however, i do disagree with Malenia being unfair. Waterfowl is entirely avoidable by medium rolling. Unlock, circle her at a 180, dodge into waterfowl and just dodge into the rest. You can also jump the 1st flurry of waterfowl if you are enough.
Thanks! I wasn't really clear in the vid. I don't think Malenia is unfair, just specifically waterfowl. I don't have much of a problem dodging waterfowl now, but I feel the learning curve to dodge it is much higher than any other attack I've encountered so far, and I think others agree with that too
@@CYCLONYTE I can agree the learning curve is high. I got stomped 100+ times before I beat her. I don't think people talk enough about how ER doesn't teach these mechanics. The same stuff can be applied to alot of bosses such as Margitt. Just the game never outright specifies.
For me, it was defeating the Crucible Knight in the evergaol in Limgrave. I was barely leveled up and only had a straight sword. It took me about 2 grueling hours, but that's when it "clicked." I'll never forget it 🥹
Hopefully lightning and holy damage gets a damage boost as well. It’s not terrible, but not everyone first choice. I dont see Miquella being our enemy in this game either, surprisingly. I have theory he could be still trying to resurrect godwyn, and eventually we encounter the gloam eyed queen
bosses i want for the DLC: Miquella godwyn Shabriri Gloam eyed queen Godskin Lord (as you sais) Marshal Crucible Some new dragon and shadows Mother of the Deathbirds 1 or 2 god like: the frenzy flame or formless mother What we will have: Quartet cristallian Godskin rot trio
this is just an idea i came up in the 10 seconds i spent thinking about it after you mentioned it, but i think it’d be cool if deathblight could work against normal enemies as like a second poise system, like when the meter fills up they get restricted (but not outright killed in the same way as npcs) by deathblight branches for a short period of time so you can get a riposte or a big hit, and it works separately from normal poise which means you could potentially get back to back staggers. would be cool and not too overpowered if you ask me
I got an Xbox and Elden Ring for my birthday in February 2023. I haven't played a video game since 2005. I fell in love with Elden Ring. I have logged over 600 hours and have beaten it 7 times with 3 of my characters. I too echo your sentiments about this game.
I've beat ER 13 times so far, with and without mods and the convergence is a good placeholder for the DLC while we wait. I'd reccomend giving it a try.
Thanks for the video man. Highly recommend trying Sekiro again. It's tough to get down at first but it also has serious replayability once you've learned the combat and become confident as Wolf
Would love to see an Ash of War for Incantations and Sorceries, as it would be nice to have true Catalyst Weapons again. Some enemies and bosses can already do it, but we can't currently.
I want there to be something about the storm lord, I know people speculate that it’s plassidusax but I don’t know, I see him as a lord, but more of a lord over dragons, not a storm. Although his weapon does have the “storm form” ash of war so who knows. I just want some confirmation. I also want there to be more storm ashes and weapons in general.
Some confirmation and more storm stuff would be nice. Your comment made me think of a cool potential boss fight with prime placidusax where he has all 3 heads, since it looks like he's missing his third head.
14:22 I think a cool boss would be fighting the Kaiden Jarl these Viking looking dudes are just bodyguards in limgrave as far as I know and not much is know about them besides their homeland the mountain tops and that they’re mercenaries, their weapon the dismounter is also cool I think a boss like that would be fun. Another thing I hope to see is them add more Japanese weapons like the Kanabo and some heavier Japanese armor although we will probably see that if they add maybe an invasion that gives the items or the next dlc taking place in the land of reeds or somethin
My personal theories: -A fight against Godgwyn Prince of Death, followed by a second phase in his mind in his full glory as Godgwyn the Golden (thats going to be the Ludwig/Gael/Artorias of this DLC I hope) -A second fight agaisnt the God Devouring Serpent but this time its Tanith (Rykard´s wife who we see munching at Rykards face after the fight so she is now the serpent) -A Frenzy dragon, a Sleep Dragon and a Golden Order Dragon fight -Placidusaxx´s god returns and we have to kick it out of the Lands Between like we did with Elden Beast (perhaps the Formless Mother and the God of Rot aswell? [its confusing but it would be the same for Malenia and her God of Rot, as Marika and Elden Beast. Both women are Empyrean turned godesses by their respective Gods but they themselves arent really GODS y´know?]) -A third great Master Sorcerer shows up. (like Azure and Lustat) only this is still alive and wants to kill us as most things do -Also we haven´t seen Malenia´s Shadow. So we might have a fight there
What if the person in the horse is Godwyn’s deathbed child that Fia has brought into the world and that’s why a death blighted tree is strangling the erd tree
I rly want them to make Post elden beast content like u mentioned someone trying to replace me and take the title of elden lord which wil make the player feel good that he's playing as 'elden lord' and not just the story ends like that,,maybe they don't wana do further work after elden beast in time line idk but I rly think its a good and satisfying idea
I just had an idea that is probably nothing but what if this or a future DLC could only be explored after mending the elden ring and had differences based on what ending you chose.
My obly complaint or what I think could've improved for the game is that the map is slightly and I mean slightly too big. I think it could've been smaller buy a tiny bit. But, overall its great
My dream dlc boss is a corrupted malformed Godwyn for phase 1 and then a transformation to his true of form: the scion of the golden order, full of golden order spells and maybe dragon spells. Also add him riding on Fortissax.
The thing about these games that really go the extra mile is the amount of replayability they have. I think they're unparalleled in that. You spend the 60 or 70 dollars for the game and you'll have endless amounts of hours to enjoy
Just so you know when they dropped the DS3 DLC it was like... the most unceremonious possible release in human history. There was nothing. You just log into your game, go on your forums and your servers and talk to people and suddenly someone is like "wait, what in the flying fuck is this? new NPC, I didn't mod my game" and then suddenly you check the patch notes and find out there has indeed been a DLC and the only people to even acknowledge it was some brazilian gaming journalist on his blog.
@@JCorLChey I personally think Ragnarok was definitely more than just a good game. But yeah Elden Ring was just too innovative for Ragnarok to keep up. But still Ragnarok is an easy 9/10 for me
@@JCorLCI’d definitely say it was a great game maybe good to you. The story themes and tones are pretty unmatched in terms of relevant and applicable story beats compared to most modern games. The combat is also incredibly fun however side content is pretty damn lame. Don’t act like elden ring is a perfectly balanced, it’s incredibly badly balanced and struggles to have consistent boss difficulty due to the open world nature and sheer amount of tools, broken builds or assistive gameplay mechanics. They’re both great games but for different reasons
So... I have this awful idea for the Miquella boss fight.... You summon a Spirit Ash.... He hits them with a short range melee attack with a pinkish glow.... Suddenly, your Spirit Ash is now attacking you. He just used a Bewitching Branch on them....
A: there’s no way the dlc is coming out in February, sorry but not gonna happen (as much as I’d like that). B: this will probably be the only dlc, story wise, we’ll get. They’ve already said this was going to be multiple planned dlc’s in one but it had gotten so big they changed it. They’ll move on to their next game, and eventually Elden Ring 2
Where will be dlc placed on map? Guys we can see miqela and and haligtree from past. Soooo? We will go back to past. I think we will see lands beetween in past, everything what u seen destroyed or ruins will be there new, we will fight bosses that we seen already but in their full glory from times when they were prime gods
i think godwyn and miquella will definetly be bosses mabye miquella is like gael where he is a nppc and turns on u i think it might be like griffith abd he betryas you or something but i do think hes evil tho
Malenia can be fought with a good or op build because of the openness of building. But bloodborne there are no builds basically, he is way to hard the second phase is to wild. I had to beat him with the speed running strategy where you shoot and attack repeatedly, way to hard for his own good
Fr it's easier to cheese Malenia with how many possibilities there are in Elden Ring, but I try not to cheese the Malenia fight. I'm always back and forth with who is harder
Dang, only 5 playthroughs for you? I've done 5 characters since getting the game September 2023. 300 hours in the game. Not even in my top 4 favorite FromSoft games, but... it's alright.
It’s a big game to replay multiple times and that’s coming from someone with 180 hours and 6 characters who have beat the game. Even after 180 hours I’ve experienced 99% of the game content and find myself getting really burnt out from the game often unlike dark souls 3 which doesn’t take 40 hours at the least per playthrough
Have you played lords of the fallen? the original lords of the fallen was mynfirst souls like. Really enjoyed it. Then played elden ring ywars later which i enjoyed. But the new lords of the fallen is great fun to
You know what actually bothers me? They can take all the time they want, but WHY DID THEY ANNOUNCE IT AND THEN GO RADIO SILENCE FOR A YEAR?! To me, that makes it annoying, not even fun.
The devs were getting harassed that DLC wasn’t announced on anniversary date, so they just dropped the image 2 days later to avoid any more people crying over not getting dlc “We can announce we have been working on the Elden Ring expansion” suggests it wasn’t intended to be announced early, but rabid fans pushed them to announce it💀
Just writing this comment to say that y'all have some really cool ideas! 😂
Elde ring reignited my love for video games not gonna lie it's a work or art and now I'm like a addict itching at every news of the dlc.

While I agree very much in this case, more development time doesn't always result in a better end result. Case in point, Duke Nukem Forgotten.

Hopefully lightning and holy damage gets a damage boost as well. It’s not terrible, but not everyone first choice. I dont see Miquella being our enemy in this game either, surprisingly. I have theory he could be still trying to resurrect godwyn, and eventually we encounter the gloam eyed queen
or make the bosses that have 80 holy dmg resist lower by maybe 60% i would prefer 50 tho
bosses i want for the DLC:
Miquella
godwyn Shabriri
Gloam eyed queen
Godskin Lord (as you sais)
Marshal Crucible
Some new dragon and shadows
Mother of the Deathbirds
1 or 2 god like: the frenzy flame or formless mother
What we will have:
Quartet cristallian
Godskin rot trio
Great list! If they do a Godskin trio, they're just trolling at that point 😂
this is just an idea i came up in the 10 seconds i spent thinking about it after you mentioned it, but i think it’d be cool if deathblight could work against normal enemies as like a second poise system, like when the meter fills up they get restricted (but not outright killed in the same way as npcs) by deathblight branches for a short period of time so you can get a riposte or a big hit, and it works separately from normal poise which means you could potentially get back to back staggers. would be cool and not too overpowered if you ask me
Sounds better than how it is now
Also another company today just announced a figure collab in February with Elden Ring! lookin pretty spicy ngl
I think I saw that actually. Looks cool!
In the presence of Ezekiel Tyrese Darnelius IV, he congratulates you on a very great video!
What an honor!
The DLC is a fine wine, you gotta let it age to be its most fullest and outstanding gaming experience.
Ngl it would be crazy if the DLC’s story is different for all endings in the main game
Can't wait for this dlc. It's been so long since I played. Two playthroughs.
Might be time for a third!
Honestly yeah
'Keep your expectations low and you will never be disappointed' 😢
Check out the Tarnished archeologist if you want some lore deeper than what you’d find with Vaati
Will do!
8:30 if you didn’t know that image is actually the hailingtree strangling the erdtree which I’m wondering what that’s trying to convey
At this point I’m convinced it’ll be a full release….pretty much Elden ring 2
fr 😅
If we aint seeing Glaive Master Hodir, we riot
cant wait to see the godskin quartet
I might cry
I think the DLC entrance is going to be in the Roundtable hold
I’ve been playing this game since release and I’m still on my first playthrough, just can’t get enough lol
Really savoring the experience 😂
@@CYCLONYTE lol no lie 😂
BRO U GOT 1K SUBS IN A WEEK I SUBBED AT 46
The growth has been crazy! I appreciate the support, it means a lot!
My personal theories:
-A fight against Godgwyn Prince of Death, followed by a second phase in his mind in his full glory as Godgwyn the Golden (thats going to be the Ludwig/Gael/Artorias of this DLC I hope)
-A second fight agaisnt the God Devouring Serpent but this time its Tanith (Rykard´s wife who we see munching at Rykards face after the fight so she is now the serpent)
-A Frenzy dragon, a Sleep Dragon and a Golden Order Dragon fight
-Placidusaxx´s god returns and we have to kick it out of the Lands Between like we did with Elden Beast (perhaps the Formless Mother and the God of Rot aswell? [its confusing but it would be the same for Malenia and her God of Rot, as Marika and Elden Beast. Both women are Empyrean turned godesses by their respective Gods but they themselves arent really GODS y´know?])
-A third great Master Sorcerer shows up. (like Azure and Lustat) only this is still alive and wants to kill us as most things do
-Also we haven´t seen Malenia´s Shadow. So we might have a fight there
I'm a fan of this list!
What if the person in the horse is Godwyn’s deathbed child that Fia has brought into the world and that’s why a death blighted tree is strangling the erd tree
Yo let's see a Godskin Blacksmith! Who made all the Godskin weapons!
My hype for the game is honestly down right now and in its place mhw has been my light in the dark tunnel
The character riding a horse could also be Godwyn since he too had golden hair with braids.
But i supose we will find out in a few hours eh?
I rly want them to make Post elden beast content like u mentioned someone trying to replace me and take the title of elden lord which wil make the player feel good that he's playing as 'elden lord' and not just the story ends like that,,maybe they don't wana do further work after elden beast in time line idk but I rly think its a good and satisfying idea
Very nice video
Very nice comment!
First of all million right here 💪
That’s what’s up!
Your gonna like dark souls 3
Can’t wait to get to it!
@@CYCLONYTEafter elden ring I played ds3 and it was so good I might even say it’s above elden ring
I just had an idea that is probably nothing but what if this or a future DLC could only be explored after mending the elden ring and had differences based on what ending you chose.
We gonna have to fight God Miquella and I gotta feeling he’s going to be the hardest boss yet
My obly complaint or what I think could've improved for the game is that the map is slightly and I mean slightly too big. I think it could've been smaller buy a tiny bit. But, overall its great
I can see that. It's wayyy bigger than I thought it was going to be while first playing 😂
Just a note on your analysis: I suspect the Haligtree was discovered, not created by Miquella
Hopefully we get more clarification in the DLC, but I've heard that he grew it himself
Hope you enjoy Dark Souls 3 when you get to playing it. What I would give to experience that game and it’s DLC for the first time all over again…
Hope it`s true! Can`t wait.
Fingers crossed 🤞
First one is always the best for sure. Bloodborne is my #1.
Can't get enough of Bloodborne lol
My dream dlc boss is a corrupted malformed Godwyn for phase 1 and then a transformation to his true of form: the scion of the golden order, full of golden order spells and maybe dragon spells. Also add him riding on Fortissax.
That's my dream boss now lol
Tired trope
I am hoping that they have more to do with the Golden Mask.
Wish I was playing around that time to experience that 🤣
I googled the release date yesterday. And the fextralife wiki says it should be coming on the 5th... which is tomorrow!!!
i would say its the past or future of past future thing or past present thing
perchance it might deal with time
I mean, I'm more at "when will we see it" or ""will we even see it at all"
I think we'll see a trailer near the end of the month and the dlc release in april
Ragnarok, doesn't come close.
There was just no way it was going to win GOTY against Elden Ring
@@CYCLONYTE in my opinion it just wasn't a great game, maybe good and that's stretching it.
@@XxGamer42069xX well agree to disagree, to each his own.
Im suprised you didint mention us only having 2 madness weapons
One thing that’s guaranteed is, new regular world enemies that are harder than the boss.
That's for certain lol
They could charge me $70 for the dlc and I would buy it in a heartbeat without batting an eye
Same 💀
I think Miquela wil be hatched mor something it’s obvious he’s supposed to be simmiliar to Griffith so bertrayl and stuff he’s probably. A boss imo
You might be on to something
Can we just see it 😭
fr
orphan was tougher for me than malenia. hardest boss so far, ludwig might be 3rd
I'm pretty back and forth on who is harder 😅
So... I have this awful idea for the Miquella boss fight....
You summon a Spirit Ash.... He hits them with a short range melee attack with a pinkish glow....
Suddenly, your Spirit Ash is now attacking you.
He just used a Bewitching Branch on them....
this video is so cool, you are so cool
This comment is so cool
They could of atleast added more quests and things to do while we wait.
Gargoyle trio
Blackblade gargoyle trio with deathblight breath that covers the whole arena
Maybe accidentally we will be reason of shatering of elden ring of reason of any meaningful past situation
You might be right! I can't imagine fighting the demigods in their primes. I might cry against prime Radahn 😂
My speculation is that we play as Miquella. That's about it.
Before this it was battlefront 2 2005, now elden ring
i think godwyn and miquella will definetly be bosses mabye miquella is like gael where he is a nppc and turns on u i think it might be like griffith abd he betryas you or something but i do think hes evil tho
Who needs Skyrim when Elden Ring exists?
Yes, Bloodborne is the GOAT.
The only thing I want to see is a release date 😭
Dang, only 5 playthroughs for you? I've done 5 characters since getting the game September 2023. 300 hours in the game.
Not even in my top 4 favorite FromSoft games, but... it's alright.
It’s a big game to replay multiple times and that’s coming from someone with 180 hours and 6 characters who have beat the game. Even after 180 hours I’ve experienced 99% of the game content and find myself getting really burnt out from the game often unlike dark souls 3 which doesn’t take 40 hours at the least per playthrough
I've done many NG+ playthroughs, but as far as unique characters, yeah like 5
Have you played lords of the fallen? the original lords of the fallen was mynfirst souls like. Really enjoyed it. Then played elden ring ywars later which i enjoyed. But the new lords of the fallen is great fun to
Haven't played the original, but the new one looks interesting. Might pick it up
You know what actually bothers me? They can take all the time they want, but WHY DID THEY ANNOUNCE IT AND THEN GO RADIO SILENCE FOR A YEAR?! To me, that makes it annoying, not even fun.
The devs were getting harassed that DLC wasn’t announced on anniversary date, so they just dropped the image 2 days later to avoid any more people crying over not getting dlc
“We can announce we have been working on the Elden Ring expansion” suggests it wasn’t intended to be announced early, but rabid fans pushed them to announce it💀
